First time experiencing Mosaic and it did not disappoint. Food and service was excellent. Highly recommend the scallops.
We were 10 minutes late being seated, and were told the kitchen waws backed up 30 minutes. Not good, since we had opera tickets. The staff helped us pick menu items that would come out fast, and another family let us order in front of them. But all told, it was discouraging. We are going to try them once more later this year.
Server Tim was great! He recommended us to get our Peppered Shimp grilled and he was right, it was good.
We ate here for the first time on Valentine's Day & had a wonderful time. The Pepper Shrimp appetizer was awesome. Since I can't eat gluten, my options were somewhat limited but that was a great one. The rack of lamb was very good but nothing too special. My husband had the duck breast that he really liked. It was pretty smokey tasting. The only dessert I could have was ice cream but the green tea ice cream was delicious & copious. It was pretty expensive but they do have a long & extensive happy hour in the bar that we will definitely do next time. The couple next to us had Calamari & Mac & Cheese that looked awesome. The cocktails were delicious. The waiter was super helpful & very chatty. He seemed to like his job.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Mosaic. What a delightful experience! The food was great and the portions were perfect for sharing.
We had a calamari appetizer, Chinese salad, truffle mac & cheese, and we shared a rack of lamb. The lamb was probably the best I’ve ever eaten. We finished our meal with a bowl of ice cream.
Our waiter, Tim, was exceptional. His recommendations were helpful and spot on. Plus, his attitude and zeal were infectious! Well done Tim!
The biggest surprise was that I made reservations here by accident! One of the best accidents I’ve ever had. We will be back, with friends.
We love Mosaic! We go there often before attending events in downtown San Jose.
Their happy hour from 5:00 to 6:30 can't be beat. House wines and Well drinks are only $6, and many appetizers are under $10.
The waitstaff is helpful and friendly. Even on a busy night (Valentines' day), we got personal attention and never felt rushed.
This was our second time there and it was just a good as the first time. Will definitely go back again.
Food was delicious and service was excellent! I will be going back. Parking is a bit of a problem. We had to use a paid parking lot and walk for a few minutes to the restaurant.
The service was great but the food was really just whatever
Pros were my scallops were amazing.
In advance I asked to waiter(in reservations) to serve Preseco & he didn’t. I asked for a glass & they were out. 2nd choice they were out. My friends asked for honey & they ran out. Could have used a bread plate for the lemon.
Had some pieces of greens that weren’t the freshest! Need more croutons on my Ceasar.
Nice of another gentleman taking our payment to waive the 2 teas & 1 glass of sparkling wine for my 2 friend’s birthdays.
We had a great meal! We told the server we were going to a concert so he made sure we got our food in a timely manner. Kudos to him!
This place is not Asian Restaurant, it’s more steak and stuff. The menu in yelp is 2 years outdated, not many Asian dishes only 5 are available.. if your looking Asian dishes, this is not the place to go!
Tim was an awesome server. Very knowledgeable & had a great personality. The kitchen was very backed up due to several large parties ordering at the same time, hence the 4 star rating.
This a goto restaurant in our neighborhood. Pleasant bar area though it can get noisy at times and there is a band occasionally. The food is good, and prices are reasonable. Service is excellent. We go there often.
Excellent food, Asian fusion, choice varies from lamb to to fish, to meat dishes. Service good, quiet atmosphere. Ice cream great for dessert
Loved the food here, and the service. Tim always delivers and consistently makes our dining experience great.
The food was tasty and a great value. The service was slow.
We love energetic and live, however, it was loud and not pleasant at all, guests arguing and swearing next to our table very loud, even though the food and service was good but unfortunately we couldn't enjoy it much and had to leave:(
The server was the highlight of the restaurant. The food was mediocre, the ambiance was cold and cheerless.
Let’s Talk about the Pro and Con.
Con: the only thing - price is a bit on the expensive side.
Pro: start with the services - EXCELLENT. Server TIM is a blast. He made our 23rd Anniversary dinner a great one. He served with a smile. He is genuinely happy with his work and with all the people around. He brought every one’s spirit up. Pay extra attention to each patron.
The atmosphere is great. Not too crowded and the music set one in the mood for a romantic night.
Food was fresh and excellent. Tim took care of us with his recommendations.
Beefsteak/prawn/scallop were very fresh, juicy, and delectable. They were perfectly cooked. However, their rack of lamb is out of this world and a thing to die for, especially the sauce it came with.
I am a difficult person, but I would said our dinner is 10/10. And Tim definitely helped with that score.
Davie and Maggie
Great food and service.
It took an hour to get our food. Very nice and friendly waiter had to apologize a couple of times for the delay in getting our food. And when it finally arrived, hot and sour soup and tempura dishes were salty, and our main dishes were just OK. We will not be coming back.
Celebrating a Friends Birthday our waiter Tim was a 12 on a scale of 10. Food was great
Great food as always. And Tim the waiter is just superb!
Incredible service and great food and drinks. The outside patio is also super cute, but we sat inside at a table by the window.
Excellent service especially Tim
Food was soo good. GET THE SALT AND PEPPER PRAWNS. But get them grilled not fried
Nice place for dinner after theater in San Jose. Great service and food.
Tim the waiter was amazing!! I plan to go back and re-tip him for his wonderful customer service!!
Nice but not outstanding place for the price. Pricing on the high side.
Great food and classy place for date night or to have business dinner.
Staff was fantastic and very friendly and attentive. Ambience was very nice. Happy Hour drink specials are a good deal, with the drink selection/menu being among the largest I’ve seen. It was quiet during the early dinner hours. The only criticism I have is the flavor/taste of the food was underwhelming for the price. Also, be advised that there is no parking validation like other restaurants offer. If not for those two things, I’d rate them higher.
Unfortunately, the Seabass entree contained fishbones which should have been removed. It resulted in a fishbone being stuck in the throat of my gal friend, which caused her enormous discomfort.
Great service and food was good. The stuffed salmon with crab was great!
Great food and excellent portions
They need a new chef. Food was way overdone and tha meals came out 10 minutes apart. Not worth the cost.
Great Food and even greater service.
We had ourselves an outstanding time. From greeted at the front frack to the busboys fabulous. Our waiter Tim was extremely helpful and didn’t steer us wrong with the menus. . Would highly recommend Mosaic !
Tim was excellent as always. Great recommendations on the food & always so accommodating to our kids. We will always be back for more.
