Mosaic Restaurant and Lounge- San Jose Ratings and Reviews
Mosaic was always good; but I feel it is actually getting even better. I really appreciate having a well thought-out, full Asian-fusion menu. The dishes are actually creative and use authentic Asian flavours. I really like that. The service is also always very polite and attentive.
We have been twice before but this time it was a big disappointment. My friend sent back the soup that he said tasted terrible. When the bill came it was still on the bill we asked it be removed and the waiter agreed then then he still rang it up on our CC then he removed it which meant we were charged twice on the card. The initial charge has now been removed but overall we were not impressed with the food. Sad to say because our first time was great. Hopefully it was just an off night, however we won’t return.
This was a family get together for several birthdays after a show at San Jose Performing Arts Center. We had 14 people. The Manager was a delight to work with and made all the detail arrangements. The waiter staff were attentive and met all of our needs including adjusting the tables, special orders for those with allergies. Wonderful evening!
We had very good service and we enjoyed our meal. The menu didn't differentiate the types of dishes and it seems some plates are geared more for sharing and others were standalone. It was a bit confusing but we liked what we ordered. The bar crowd was a bit noisy and it was difficult to carry on a conversation. I had forgotten to mention to the waiter that we had a performance we were going to after our meal but our food came out quickly nontheless.
The staff is awesome and we always get taken care of. They go above and beyond every time. The food is amazing never a complaint and it is always very tasty and delicious. You can not go wrong with anything you order. It’s a place you definitely must visit.
The foods was terrible, too salty
Worst presentation ever
Service was slow and everything we ask for was out of order , ex : vinegar, sparkling water, candle for birthday,....
Too bright for dinner and no soft music, only noise from the bar and kitchen
Never be back again
It was already great food and a nice locale with a jazz band playing while we dined, but the topper was the amazing Tim. He was the most attentive waiter I've ever had and went above and beyond for us. He was an angel and deserves all the credit for making our anniversary that much better.
The food is sub par at best. The shrimp wonton with dry scallop broth is literally the worst soup we had ever tasted. The broth was full of sugar that's more appropriate for a dessert. Every other dishes are okay to sub par only. There was a band playing jazz so it understandable that the noise level is high. We definitely would not come back again.
Very good and attentive service. The food was good and the proportions were sized well. The Chilean sea bass was expertly cooked and the vegetables perfectly done with the carrots being done yet the broccoli and zucchini were still al dente as they should be. Nice selection of beers and wines.
Terrible, just terrible. I had a Groupon and the bill was still outrageous. The food was disgusting. I had the ribeye, medium rare. All it came with were a few slices of asparagus for $38. I asked for it medium rare and it came out well done. Also, there is no parking. There is a hotel parking lot for the Sheraton, which is where the restaurant is, but you are not allowed to park there if you're not staying at the hotel. You have to park down the street in a paid parking lot which range from $5-$10 an hour. Horrible restaurant, horrible food, horrible parking.
I was able to book a table for 18 within a 1 hour notice. They accommodated our party very well. We were delighted to see they sat our large party at a table in their back dining room, perfect for our happy/lively/loud party.
Food was delicious and very tasty! We ordered the calamari & jalapeño appetizer, as well the the artichoke dip with pita chips/bread. The calamari was fresh and crispy! The pita chips were crunchy and soft at the same time, perfect balance for dipping and biting into.
For our entrees we ordered a variety of dishes, the flat iron steak & prawns with asparagus was a big hit with our party. Just be sure the meat you request is what you receive. If it was too red for some, they gladly took the meat back to grill it up again.
I will definitely be back to try out their happy hour - variety of appetizers that are 50% off, and drinks for less than $10.
Leslie was good to work with to help coordinate and accommodate my special event, within a week! In addition, our servers, Matthew and Tim, were quite helpful and accommodating; they took care of our group! Food and drinks were delicious. Everyone enjoyed themselves! Thank you for making my celebration a memorable one!
Our new favorite place. Went in with a Groupon and the staff embraced it instead of looking down on it as other restaurants have done. Started with calamari, the lettuce wraps, pork buns, then entrees of sea bass, flat iron steak with giant prawns, and fried rice with salmon. Ended the evening with chocolate lava cake with sauce and fresh strawberries. And our drinks were great: pomegranate lemon drop, berry lemon drop, pineapple mule, and Bloody Mary. Plus on the house champagne as we were celebrating our friend's recent nuptials.
Our waiter was eager to please. Great service, but a little too much in contact. There was a loud tech happy hour, so it was noisy with drunks yelling at sports until late in our meal. They also seated a large group next to us, when there were plenty of other tables to choose from. Not so thoughtful. The food was amazing. We had a groupon, otherwise it might have seemed a bit expensive, but not too bad. We had a nice window seat, but the decor is nothing special, and the view is just the streetcar.
Great happy hour prices. Nice & quiet even with the TV's in the bar area for watching sports. They need to make the entrance more visible; not only did I go to the front but many other guests before realizing the entrance was down the side of the building. Would be nice if they offered validated parking.
