View Private Dining DetailsThe steak at Morton's is among the best and most consistent in all of downtown. I always come away marvelling at the quality of the food here.
We only had time for a very quick lunch. We let them know that when we arrive and were quickly seated. The service was outstanding the food was fantastic. I can’t believe from the time we sat down until the time we got up was no more than one hour. We were on time for our tour and quickly on our way. I had the wagyu filet with a poblano butter melted on top. It was tender and cooked perfectly. Cocktails were fast as well!
Comida excelente, precios muy elevados, servicio excelente
Everything fantastic all people , cuisine, everything top notch as is to be expected.
Consistently good meat and service.
It was a pleasant experience. The server was excellent. Very courteous helpful and attentive.
I would recommend this place to friends.
I was extremely disappointed in the service and the food being delivered cold. Our server barely attended to our table; the apps were served before we can toast for our celebration; the main course food was delivered cold; food was missed and took 10 minutes to come back; we were served at different times and it was one of the worst dining experience for an upscale steak house I ever experienced in NYC.
Food was delicious and service was outstanding. Waiter forgot to bring us bread and sweetener for my wife’s, but he corrected his minor mistake by bringing us a delicious and humongous without us saying anything. It showed the care and respect they have for their guests. I will always return. Sorry can’t remember the waiter’s name.
Wow it was so lit. Dropped 500 and their was only two of us. Service is very good too, we got free desserts!!!
Me and my boyfriend had a great evening I would definitely recommend this place
Morton’s was absolutely delicious. Steak was phenomenal and the sour cream mashed potatoes were just as amazing. Worth every penny!
I have been to Morton's before not in this location but this time the service was slow we Sat there for 20min before orders was taken wrong food came and was very average and expensive much better steak NYC restaurant I will give this a miss
I wasn't impressed with the steaks we ordered. I expected a better flavor.
Our server Seth was very knowledgeable and seemed to anticipate our every need. Both Frank and Michael stopped by several times throughout our dinner. Even Chef Samba came from the kitchen to speak with one of my guests and briefly conversed with her in French.
It was a memorable night out with my very good friends and the team at this Morton's went above and beyond. We will be sure to return in the very near future.
This is the second time that I have been to this Morton's and I have no plans of returning. The quality of the food is not in line with other Morton's I have visited nor other steakhouses that I frequent. Both times the flavor of the food was sub-par and this time, the steak (and even the bacon appetizer) was seriously fatty. I don't mind paying more for a good steak, I will just do so elsewhere.
Love it. I've been to many Morton's across the country, this one was one of the nicest. Lovely waitress and other workers very friendly. Will surely go again
We ordered off the restaurant week menu. Both our 6oz. filets were cooked to order and the sides were good also. I'm originally from Chicago, so I know the Morton's brand well. Not the best filet I've had from them, but considering it was a restaurant week cut it is what it is. The star of the show was the dessert for me. The chocolate cake was fantastic, as always. Since I live in the neighborhood I see us stopping back and trying this location's full sized filet, but with prices being similar with our steakhouse of choice in the city I'm not sure if and when that will happen. Overall, a decent meal.
Greay steak cooked to perfection! Wonderful service. Great for restaurant week! Will be back.
Morton's Steakhouse was great! I had the Filet Mignon, it was succulent and delicious! I went for Restaurant week. I was served Filet mignon, mashed potatoes and arugula. I would have preferred a substantial vegetable, but everything was great. I would absolutely recommend, even our waiter Gary/Garrett? was superb!
Went for rest week. Cesar salad and french onion soup were good. Filet mignon tasted a little livery. Lyonnaise potatoes were dry. Salmon had no flavor. The desserts were very heavy and cloying. Will not go back.
My girlfriend and I went for Restaurant Week. Perfect service from the second we walked in. Table was kept immaculate. Glasses filled. All staff worked with each other to make sure the entire floor was having a perfect dining experience. And wow, what a handsome crew. Even the crying baby sitting center-ring seemed to go unnoticed.
Then the food. The French Onion had a perfect taste - tough to say one of the best, but very very close. As expected, the 6 oz Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection, as ordered. The side of mashed was the perfect texture. The Key Lime Pie was a peanut-butter consistency with booming flavor of lime and a thick, perfect crust. )
Glad we went. Will definitely go back for ala carte menu. Will definitely recommend.
My colleague and myself went to Morton’s for lunch yesterday. It was our first time there and also the last time. The service was unprofessional and awful. We unfortunately had a disrespectful and uncivil waitress that ruined the Morton reputation. She did not even bother to ask us what we want for lunch nor respond our request for hot water. Let alone keep us waiting for menus for ten minutes but then following super speedy food and get you the bill together with last course our dessert! What a princess!
Hope better people or management can really improve the service in the future for other customers. But for the coming two weeks, I would recommend not going to Morton’s for lunch at all.
The service was great, food was good. I was seated on time and didn't have to wait, which is a plus.
Birthday! They comped me on a beer! Great food and ambiance
Went for Restaurant Week (Winter 2018) and very much enjoyed the menu and the location. We were seated promptly at a window table. Between the two of us we had the: Morton's salad, Caesar salad, 6oz filet, Shrimp Scampi with capellini, broccoli florets, sour cream mashed potatoes, cheesecake and key lime pie.
We were offered bread at the beginning, which was a whole onion loaf served with whipped butter. Both salads were nicely dressed with a good amount of cheese, fairly standard fare and a good start to the meal. The filet had great crust and flavor. Same with the shrimp scampi. The sides were okay, not very impressive, same with the desserts. Overall, we may be back for the entrees but may steer clear of the bottom half of the menu.
My friend and I took advantage of the restaurant week promotion. Many other restaurants are not so happy when diners go with the promotion. Mortons is definitely not that way. Service and food was fantastic. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we will definitely be back even after the promotion ends.
Morton's never disappoints!
Waiter and food were great. The host didn't really seem to be engaged and when I said I had a reservation didn't ask me my name (and caused me to get an email from Open Table about not honoring my reservation.) He also only gave us one Restaurant Week menu (there were three of us) and it turned out to be the wrong one which the waiter corrected. When we left we said "Thanks," but no response from the host.
Overall it was great, but Morton's - you only get one chance to make a good impression and it wasn't a good one.
Morton is always great, the steaks are superb, the sides are delicious, and the soufflé was yumm!! I’m giving them a 4 stars in service as I ordered a glass of wine with dinner, I was the only one having wine at the table, and I was never asked if I was enjoying the wine or if I wanted a second glass.
Need more help. Our waiters were cordial; but a few times, we had to remind our waiters to bring drinks which were ordered earlier or had to wait a while before we could ask for something else. The food was delicious and the drinks were great. I had a wonderful birthday dinner and I am looking forward to going again soon.
The food was great! The service was horrible!! We had a 7:30 reservation & didn’t leave there until 10:45pm bc our waitress kept getting lost & forgetting we were even there. Real buzz kill, especially on NYE
Celebrated our one year wedding anniversary here and it was perfect! Could not have asked for a better evening!
Food here is great, I eat at Morton’s at least once whenever I find myself in New York. Food is always excellent.
Great steaks, excellent sides and amazing desserts are clear « wins » at Morton’s. List of international wines could be more diverse. Overall delivered as expected
Anniversary
Our 50th anniversary in the city and hoping for a nice dinner at Mortons. Was seated at bar lounge very loud and cold. Requested to be seated down stairs was told it was full. Later i went down stairs and there were plenty of tables. Very upset.
Food was awful, not up to Morton’s standards! Do better Morton’s of the World Trade Center...
Just awesome! Perfect steak, perfect sides, perfect starters and great wine. Loved it! Service is also very kind and attentive, thanks!
I made a reservation in an expensive restaurant four weeks in advance only to be seated in the bar dining area. The main restaurant was allegedly closed for a function, however a visit to that area found separate groups and several empty tables.
I would have walked out, except it was a cold winter night and I didn’t know if other Restaurants had room. Not that money was an issue, but the restaurant manager did not even say he was sorry or offered to buy a drink. They could have called my cell in advance. For me, next time it is The Palm.
The steaks were cooked exactly as ordered. Get the NY Strip! They needed some salt, but that's easy enough to fix on your own. The sides were great (creamed spinach, brussel sprouts and horseradish mashed potatoes), although the bacon a little too sweet for my taste. The service was very polite albeit quite slow after our food arrived. And it didn't seem busy enough to really warrant that kind of delay. You expect a certain speedy rhythm for a New York lunch, as well as a certain amount of attentiveness with these prices. We'll try it again, but maybe give them a heads up to try and not leave us lingering.
