Great ambiance, friendly staff, excellent food. $$$$.
Flawless ! Great quality food delivered by professionally trained staff.
My wife and I spent the weekend in NYC. Wonderful.
Wasn't crowded, clean and quiet with a few tv's. sangria was ok alittle ok nice the light side
Celebrated my birthday at Morton’s! They made it an extra special dining experience. Special menu telling me Happy Birthday, picture with my friends and free dessert! Perfect!
Overall outstanding, I ordered the sea bass and my guest has the filet mignon. Great lunch.
Great service , our waitress was personable and helpful. Food was incredible
I love this restaurant. Charlie, the manager, went out of his way to make our birthday celebration memorable. The food and drinks were delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and the bread pudding dessert was so good. I have celebrated my last 7 birthdays at Morton’s and this was the best one.
Wonderful anniversary dinner, food, service, atmosphere excellent. Quiet and romantic So nice to be able to have conversation without shouting. The complementary dessert was a lovely touch.
The steaks were very good and service was great. I thought the price point for the steaks was a bit high though.
The website lunch specials don't match the lunch menu in the restaurant. Its disappointing that they reduced the offerings.
Always great Morton’s food quality and service professionals overseen by engaged managers .
Perfect for any occasion
Steak was lovely, but had to wait until we had nearly finished our main course for our drinks we ordered upon arrival, then the manager gave us a shrimp appetizer as an apology again after our main course. It was v.awkward.
The server apologized massively, she didn’t do anything wrong so we gave her a nice tip.
It would have been ok if it was flat out busy but the place was empty, maybe it’s because they sat us downstairs???
We had the best time celebrating my husband’s birthday and the Morton’s staff was a really big part of that! The whole evening was a 10! And the food was outstanding! We will be back the next time we are in NYC!
The quality of the ribeye was awful! Tough and hard to chew without much flavor! Just awful all around. Took only 2 bites and brought the rest home for my dog! The bacon steak appetizer was amazing, however!
Always a great treat
Great experience. Staff was very nice to me and my family, especially my wife who's birthday it was. The staff was probably the best part of the experience. Would definetly recommend this location for Morton's
The best oysters and the best meat we ever have eaten. And also a very friendly service!
Quiet night downtown but light meal comprised of apps and cocktails was just right.
It’s Morton’s . Always good or they’ll make it good.
Great food and service
One of the best restaurant experiences we have had celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. Excellent food, service, and attention to details. To our surprise, they add ”Happy 15th Anniversary” to the top of our menus. We will definitely return. Thank you Morton’s!
Our server provided exceptionally good service! Great ambience and food!
Great view - very mediocre wines and average uneven quality food.
We all know that we are paying more in NYC for a meal. That is expected. Morton's is a high priced restaurant in any city. The food tonight was good, but not 5 star. Service was slow and poor. We ordered drinks at the beginning of the meal as is common everywhere. They arrived as we were finishing our meal...even with 2 reminders to the server.
Good value. The wine special was alright. The sides are good portion, one side is enough for two people.
SUMMARY: Overall an extremely disappointing meal for $125 per person attributed to erroneous delivery of food and lack of customer service and bad timing by waitstaff. Even when alerted to the issue, no apology is issued, nor concession offered.
DETAIL: My medium rare filet came medium well. The waiter checked in immediately upon us receiving our dishes so we hadn't even had time to take a bite. After that, we didn't see him or even a water attendant until the end of our meal. These waitstaff have no sense of timing.
75% of the way thru the meal, my colleague who ordered the same dish and said her filet wasn't cooked enough - she had ordered hers medium well. We discovered that the expediter (attendant who delivered our meals) had switched our plates. We told him and our waiter when they both finally appeared to clear our dishes and they laughed about the mix-up. No apology, no offer of compensation or how they can make it right. Their reaction was more of an "Oh. Hee hee." Insulting for what we paid. We each (3) ordered desserts and none of those were comped either. The bread pudding was delicious, but the creme brulee was very disappointing--it was served tepid, like it had been taken out of the fridge an hour previously with the top layer warmed when they melted the sugar.
Choose a different steakhouse option in FiDi. Don't bother with Morton's.
The food was great, but the service was over the top. The wait staff went out of their way to make my son's 15th birthday dinner special and memorable. Thank you!
The food was exceptional. I had the sea bass which was the perfect texture of moist without being soggy. I also shared sides of asparagus which were crispy while easily chewable, and the creamed spinach, which had just the right mixture of cream and spinach. Servings were more than ample yet my enjoyment compelled me to leave nothing on the plate.
Excellent, regularly the best for me downtown. New Yorkers can always cook a good steak but these guys add on the most gracious and fantastic customer service at all levels of seniority. Be back soon I hope.
Great meal. Steak over cooked. Restaurant made it right. Cooked whole new steaks. Gave discount on bill and free drinks
The service was great, the food was fantastic. My wife and I had spent the day walking around the World Trade Center Complex seeing the sites, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum (highly recommend) as well as the One World Observatory (the top of the Freedom Tower). As a 9/11 Survivor it was an emotional day for my wife. Morton's WTC was a great place to "spin down", "relax", and "re-hydrate" from a long day of sightseeing. The staff took impeccable care of us and the food was perfect - I highly recommend a visit the next time you are in the area.
Service wasn’t the greatest! Waiter did not check on the table, took extremely long to bring check, and forgot our side!
Our server was David, and he was fantastic! The food was great, too! We’ll definitely be back!
The staff was pleasant, but the steak was horrible — and the French onion soup not so good. I have dined at the Fifth Avenue location which has always been outstanding.
So it was unfortunate to receive the steak I ordered during Restaurant Week lunch at this location. I shouldn’t have had to ask for a replacement, but when I did they offered the filet, inferring no up-charge.
But they up-charged on the bill, and at that point was so disappointed and rather than debate the issue, I just asked that they split the $10.00 difference. Which they did, but nonetheless disappointing because they looked to me as the bad guy.
Came here for lunch with a girlfriend during Restaurant Week, had a great experience. We were seated promptly at a nice booth table even though it was just 2 of us. Servers were friendly and efficient. We both ordered the onion soup and the rib eye from the 2 course lunch menu, and both items were perfectly cooked and flavorful. Ambiance was super nice, the old school steakhouse feel without any attitude. I've been to Morton's in Boston many times and this was my first time at a Morton's in NYC and it's also a great experience. I will definitely try to come back again soon and will recommend to all friends.
Lisa our waitress was very friendly.
The food and service were excellent! Highly recommend
Steak was very good, very tender and flavorful. Due to it being Restaurant Week, no substitute for mash potato for veggies, so I was a little disappointed with that.
