Morton's The Steakhouse - White Plains Ratings and Reviews
First let me say that I had a pleasurable evening there and would go again. The service was spectacular!
A work on the food - the filet mignon was not the best I have ever had - expected better, and the creamed spinach was not hot. I didn’t return anything at the time but could have been better.
Martini was great!
Our party had 3 different types of steak and each was excellent and perfectly cooked. Wait staff was also excellent. Nice atmosphere, much better than previous White Plains location. Bar staff needs to be more with it and learn to be more friendly and be able to craft cocktails without wasting time looking up the ingredients.
Continues to be preferred on my list - when in this region. I and the Mrs are comfortable and not pressured or rushed as often is the case with staff. When I order my steaks it as I requested vice what they think I want. Sean manages a good team, and Tony, offers a new balance.
Morton steakhouse is a staple that is located in White Plains New York. Parking can be a little challenging, but the food is worth the effort. The steak is good but I do miss the prime rib. I would definitely recommend it for a date, special occasion, and happy hour. I took my mom there for her birthday and they gave her a free dessert and sing happy birthday to her. We had a wonderful evening.
I was here for my 1 year anniversary spent $250 and it was truly a waste everything was awful my wife was not happy and this place ruined our 1st year anniversary. we will not be returning next time. our salmon was raw and one over cooked and burnt there was no follow up visit for a recook not even from a manager. I am truly disappointed. From one restaurant manager to the next I advised that we should take better care of our guest. I am more disappointed then angry.
Awful. Overpriced . A real disappointment. Nothing quite right and nothing worth price. Let's start with steaks. My bone-in ribeye was a thin cut of meat with lots of grizzle. Ordered medium rare it came medium plus. Even though overcooked it had none of the char you'd expect. My wife ordered filet medium and it came rare - had to be sent back which threw off meal andcwhen it returned it was hammered (well done). Get the picture? Amateurs everywhere. We had nice table in a booth but it was in the back near kitchen and we had to listen all night to staff chatter. Crab salad had nice meat but too little for price. Only good dish was special side of Cipollini onions. Bottom line, quality does not justify the price.
I thought the restaurant was very dark. We did not think the bread was fresh.
I thought the service was good, but the servers were young and inexperienced for steakhouse like Morton's.
I ordered my steak medium rare, and it came to the table overcooked. They were very gracious about the mistake, however I expected more from a restaurant like Morton's. I do not recommend the steakhouse.
Our family was celebrating a special birthday. Sean-the manager of Morton's Steakhouse was very nice, accommodating and always helps us with planning our dinners/parties there.
We all enjoyed dining there. My son loved the warm onion bread as well as other family members. I really loved the Caesar salad, Chicken Christopher with shrimp and steamed asparagus. One of our family members enjoyed lobster & steak and she seemed to love her hearty meal. My other family members enjoyed salads, steak and vegetables. Our server was Ivy and she was so nice to us and provided a great dining experience. I am really happy Morton's moved their location in a White Plains and wish them the best of luck!
New location, new look and the same Great Hospitality, Food and Service! The managers and almost all the staff have moved from the Maple ave address to the location in the City Center. The place was packed on Fri and I can see why. The Food was terrific (Scallops, Crab Cakes, Cajun Ribeye, Mac & Cheese, Brussel Sprouts, etc) - all perfectly cooked and delicious. $99 Jordan cab special (can't go wrong) and I was told they are offering a $99 Papillion starting August (can't wait!). The Service was on point as well from the Bartenders, Bussers and the Servers.
Went with Cliff to the new Mortons for the first time.
We were seated promptly at a very nice table.
This new Mortons location is now trendy like many of the others.
It now has windows which the old one didn't .
Sean the manager is still there and is very personable and hospitable.
Our server for the night Kim was excellent and quite friendly.
We had the morons salad and the blue cheese wedge with bacon.
Both were excellent.
I had the porterhouse and cliff had the ribeye.
Both cuts were right on and cooked well.
Cliffs needed a little more heat otherwise perfect.
Great dinner at Mortons
We dined on a Tuesday evening in the new Mamaroneck Ave location. Restaurant empty, maybe 5 tables. Our server was excellent.
It was the food. I had a braised rib that required a steak knife to cut. It was tough. The lobster bisque I swear had a piece of lobster in it from last week it was inedible. The wagyu filet mignon special was only okay. The chopped salad was excellent. There are far better options at this price point in Westchester.
