Morton's The Steakhouse - Troy Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I were celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary, and I chose Morotn because it had been 12 years since our last visit to your Southfield Location (which is closed) and we both were enamored with our Morton's experience, I figured ,what a great place to celebrate our anniversary, but it was the opposite of expectations. 1st the dining are didn't represent an upscale environment and the service was only ok and last the food was disappointing,my wife's steak should've been well , but it pink and my steak was cooked the way I ordered well close to medium rare, but it was dry it was tough to chew and there were other choices of steak sauce except A1. It took 20 min. Between our to our appetizer and 30-40min. Between our appetizer and our main course. For the price I very very dissatisfied and I will not be going back.
Patrick went above and beyond to ensure our Hapiness. Morton’s is lucky to have him. As always he made our night feel special with his utmost attention and care. The food was amazing. Hats off to the chef and even more the wait staff!!! My favorite place ever
Not the same dining experience from Morton's that we have always appreciated over the years. Food and service just not the same. Waiter seemed stressed, and was slow to get to table, did not come back to offer more drinks during dinner, and our entrees were long time coming to table. The crab appetizer seemed less crab and more lettuce, the filet was missing the blue cheese sauce on top, steamed asparagus was missing then brought but was cold, had it replaced but then hollandaise was cold, mac and cheese too salty. They did not charge for the asparagus. This was our third consecutive not-so-good experience at Morton's.
I decided to bring my husband to celebrate his birthday at Moron's Steakhouse. I had been here a few times for business meetings, but he had never been. Everyone greeted him with a "Happy Birthday" & we were handed special menus with the greeting & his name & date on top.
The steaks were fabulous. We tried the Wagu filet. It was cooked to perfection & tasted phenomenal!
My husband tried the Shrimp Alexander that was enjoyed immensely. I had the shrimp cocktail which was imaginative in presentation, but was rubbery & bland. Shrimp Alexander is definitely the way to go.
We enjoyed our dinner, the service & staff were delightful. We'll definitely be back!
We had a Landry's Select Club special for Labor Day Weekend. Our anniversary falls around Labor Day so we celebrated using the special. We had personalized menus and the hostess took a picture and presented it in a folder. The menu choices for the special price were exceptional and everything was cooked and served to perfection. A very happy anniversary celebration.
Went during restaurant week in Troy. Our very first time dining at Morton s. All the meals were fabulous....Salmon, chicken and Pork Chop. The sides were huge!!! Loved the Morton Salad and the Caesar Salad look scrumptious. The creme
Brûlée and Chocolate Mousse were to die for. Will definitely come back
Today was our 10 year Anniversary. My wife and I went to Morton's after a terrible experience at the melting pot which is located next door.
From the moment we walked into the door of Morton's we felt as if we were truly guests and not customers. Matthew the GM was very accommodating and assured us that his staff would make up for the horrible service and atmosphere of the melting pot.
Kelly, our server was very professional and yet made us feel as she had known us for years. I can not say how special she made our special day and we will return and ask for her personally.
I would definitely recommend Morton's to any of our friends and family.
Thank you again to Kelly, Matt, and the rest of the staff at Morton's.
Nice restaurant week menu. The filet, chicken and salmon were all excellent. The salads were great, especially the Caesar. Bread was great and tasty. Sides and desserts were great as well. Oren Swift red blend was recommended, at a great price and outstanding with a Robert Parker score of 94 which was deserved
Caesar was tasty with shaved Parmesan and an anchovy. The Filet was a perfect medium-rare with just the right amount of sear. The Hollandaise was just delightful with the Jumbo asparagus. The double chocolate mousse was perfectly balanced with the dollop of whipped cream piped on top. Overall a very satisfying meal. Thanks to "Troy Restaurant Week" I ate there twice in three days.
We were warmly greeted by the hostess upon entering and leaving the restaurant. Our dinner party all ordered the filet that was prepared to perfection as each guest specified. The side dishes were abundant and great for sharing. The chocolate molten cake was divine. The only disappointment was the small print on the menu and the dim lighting that resulted in unexpected upcharges upon reviewing the detail bill at home in better light that put a damper on the experience. It is best to carry good bifocals and a flashlight when dining.
It was Troy Restaurant week - I went here twice, it's that good. They only offered dinner. The salad was well seasoned. The filet mignon was a perfect medium rare; the jumbo asparagus was perfect with the hollandaise sauce, and the chocolate mousse was truly a heavenly delight.
Went here for a friend's birthday during Troy restaurant week. The food was okay but what disappointed was the steak. Ordered a medium rare center cut filet mignon. The inside was pink but the outside of the steak didn't have the nice char to it. For the price of the food, I would expect that they would do it well but apparently not.
