Cajun Ribeye Steak
Grilled Ribeye Steak*
Overall bad experience.
I don’t feel like the meal was worth it.
Ordered a salad to start and received my salad 2 mins before my steak came out. Only 3 salad dressing choices at a restaurant like this which I thought was weird.
Steak was ok. I got a 12 oz filet and it was just “ok”
Overall not what I imagined for my first time at Morton’s.
Eric was great
Nice place to have a fancy dinner. The meats were delicious. Not too impressed by the martini I had. I mean it was nothing special and I anticipated it will be dressed up by steak strips(that didn't happen). Overall, a good experience but would opt for another place to splurge.
Wednesday, July 21, 2021 @ 5:45p: The Host was very welcoming. Our server Faith was very attentive. The food was delicious!
Overall great experience. Sometimes the service was a little slow but that's probably due to staff shortages everywhere.
Ok so it was my birthday and i had a reservation for 7. Once the majority of my party arrived (5) we were seated. We were provided water, drinks and bread. It was freezing the dinning area and it wasn't many customers. We asked for the temp to be adjusted multiple times. It wasn't adjusted until the check was brought. My daughter literally had to get a jacket from the car. When my party was complete we ordered our food. It took over a hour to receive our food. In between time the waiter kept coming to the table saying what they didn't have. I was told they didn't have the lobster tails for the twin tails or the sirloin and tail that i would have to purchase the 8oz which the same price as 2 6oz. The waiter literally took 15mins to bring back a sprite. He didn't accommodate the menu. Everyone food was nasty except the potatoes. We had to send our food back to be corrected. Our bill was over $600 and with gratuity $800. We spoke with a manager who made it seem like our fault the service wasn't good. She did remove the tip but the waiter came back with an attitude and didn't provide bags for our to go order.
The server Kelly was AWFUL!! We had to get the hostess to get her twice. Our second time the first guy was great!!! The food was Good the service not so much. Extremely disappointing especially when I know it can be better. It wasn’t busy but she definitely had her favorites and it wasn’t us. She was not helpful with the Landry card that the guy sold us at our anniversary dinner in May 2021. She told us “I’ll be back when you figure it out”. I guess we were supposed to register it prior to use. Didn’t know and she was no help. I left her a 10% tip on a 300 dollar check. I didn’t want to do that but I was not going to be as rude as she was. Would I recommend Morton Troy based in this experience NO. For 330 dollars for the two of us, Kelly basically said DONT COME BACK!!!
Worst steaks I’ve ever had at Morton’s. They also changed their menu (no hash browns, no chocolate soufflé) due to “COVID”. Not sure why those items could no longer be prepared. Tried to order Parmesan truffle fries since no hash browns (one of the reasons we go to Morton’s) and their fryer was broken. We did have a great waiter, Marcus. But food was definitely subpar. Oh - and they have a dress code posted when you walk in that they clearly do not enforce. I was appalled by the way most of the other diners were dressed. Could have gone to many other places (capital grille, Eddie V’s, Ocean Prime) for same price, but better quality and better ambiance.
Our waitress, Mara, was nothing short of exceptional. Although the food was great, Mara made our experience one to remember. Thank you.
Dinner was good. Restaurant was a little louder than we expected.
Large groups surrounded us with loud children
The restaurant was very accommodating for our large party. I appreciated that they called beforehand to go over some restaurant guidelines. The food was great!
Great birthday date!
Great food and service. Restaurant way too dark, folks have to use light in phones to read menus! Prices continue to increase and value decreases as a result.
Waiter and manager were great food was good steak just a little under cooked but still very good . As always great restaurant
We were treated very well by the staff. It was an anniversary dinner; the host welcomed us with "Happy Anniversary" as did the waiter. The food was delivered as ordered and we had a very nice time.
Server was excellent. Food was top notch.
Overall best experience I loved it best dinner ever
Food wasn’t good for the second time we tried it again see if it would’ve been better and we didn’t like it. Not the salmon, the shrimp, creamed spinach or the lobster Mac. The filet was pretty good.
Usually Morton's is a special experience, as we go each year (at least) for my son's birthday but this time was a disappointment. The waiter was extremely nice and thorough but seemed completely over worked. My Shrimp Alexander appetizer was brought cold and while it was returned hot, the shrimp were tough and stringy. To be fair, I did not point this out to the waiter because I didn't want to be "that guy". My wife's steak was lukewarm but she was willing to eat it. However, the biggest peeve of the night was that my son's birthday was not even acknowledged. I entered on the reservation it was a birthday and the hostess confirmed it, but nothing from the restaurant. He is 23 and didn't care, but as the parent I was very unhappy. The other steaks and of course the bread were great as always, but overall this was not one of Morton's best nights.
Everything about Morton's Steakhouse is top notch, the atmosphere, the wait staff, the food, the attention to details. Would like to thank our server, E. J., who was every diners delight, personable and knowledgeable.
Food was a little slow coming out
Service was very good
Pleasant wait staff
My wife and I had a great experience, as always. Morton’s consistently delivers great food, service, atmosphere and wine expertise. Matt, Tiki and all the rest of their staff do a phenomenal job of ensuring guest have a great experience.
Ted did a magnificent job of pampering us. Couldn’t decide on steak or seafood got both with Filet Mignon Grill. Good call on my part. Don’t forget to split the hot chocolate cake.
Bad experience overall! Steak was bland. Extremely long wait for refills etc.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary last night at Morton’s. Overall we enjoyed the meal greatly. A few things could have been better. The asparagus was not properly trimmed and had woody sections at the bottom. I thought mashed potatoes would be incredible, but were ok at best. Steaks were excellent, but my wife ordered medium well and received medium rare. She ended up liking it so did not complain. The wait between courses was a little longer than expected. The wedge salad and shrimp Alexander were amazing. Waitstaff did a great job too. For the price, I did not expect the minor issues. My wife went to a Ruth’s Chris the week before for a different event and said your streaks were better, but overall Ruth’s Chris was better. Overall very good.
We had 730 reservations, when we got there we were told it would be about 15 to 20 minutes. It turned out to be closer to an hour wait and then on top of that it took a half hour to get drinks and a very long time to get food. They also served our salad at the same time that they brought our appetizer.
7pm reservation and was not seated until almost 8pm. Very understaffed which explains the 15 minute wait for a menu and 30 minutes before our drinks arrived. Many items on the menu were sold out. Salads showed first, then entrees and appetizers came at the same time. When dessert arrived, it came with no silverware. 10-15 minutes later we could eat it.
The food was all prepared correctly, but everything else will cause us not to go back anytime soon. I feel sorry for the waitstaff as it is not their fault.
We went for dinner with my adult children. The restaurant was so noisy you couldn’t hear each other over the neighboring tables that were being extremely loud. Not like the Morton’s I remember of fine dining and ambiance. For those prices I would expect the guests to be respectful of other diners or the management to ask them to keep their voices down some. We felt more like we were at a Loud diner than a nice steakhouse. Our food was great. I felt bad for our server as they were short staffed and were sat with too many tables to provide good service. Not the servers fault she was very apologetic.
Awful awful awful and the audacity of this restaurant to say I didn’t show up after the mistreatment and possible racial discrimination. It is sad. I want someone to speak to me regarding this matter. Morton’s should be closed due to poor management and treatment of people of color. I hate to say it but I must.
My party and I went as soon as the restaurant opened around 4pm. All was well at first. The venue was clean, waiter was great (until the early dinner rush started), and conversation was great. I honestly could have made my meal at home and my steak was undercooked (I asked for medium and it was medium rare)- no biggie. The sides were big enough for 2-3 and were really good. I believe in paying for ‘the experience’ so I have no regrets but I probably won’t be going back.
Only thing I can say the food took a long time coming out but due to how busy it was I didn’t mind waiting .
Service was slow and inattentive. Food was not up to Morton standards. Restaurant was very loud.
Open table is stupid for MAKING me have to type something too. Just take my star rating and don't be so annoying OpenTable. Sheesh.
Our server was excellent but the manager took 30 minutes to bring a bottle of wine. We felt ignored!
I enjoy Morton's steakhouse because the food has always been good. The service was excellent. I have only two negatives to mention. I feel that they are a little pricey and the lighting needs to be toned up a notch. It could be just me but I needed to use my cell phone as a light in order to read the menu. The ambiance is great but it could be slightly brighter
The food was good, but not great. The steak we well prepared and was the highlight of the meal. We've been before, but seemed like prices were far more than we remember. We chose to do the special of the 4 course dinner for 2, which was more friendly on the wallet. We went because we had a gift card from an anniversary gift.
Bar area wasn’t too tidy, especially when waiting to be seated for dining. Everything else was excellent.
First time at Mortons. Very pretty dining room. Wait staff was wonderful. Food n choices were great too. The four of us had: Shrimp Cocktail, Crab Cake, Wedge Salads n 1 Caesar, then 24oz Porter House, 8oz Filet, Bone In Ribeye, n Shrimp Scampi. We all loved what we got, along with Baked Potato, Spinach w/mushrooms, n Braused Brussel Sprouts.YUM YUM YUM. Then Key Lime Pie, Creme Brulee n Double Chocolate Mousse. All yummy, but the Mousse was more like a rich pudding, not a fluffy rich mousse. Thanks Mortons for a terrific dinner n experience!
