Great food and service. Would have never known we were next to a casino.
Service is great at this location however this Morton's is next to a casino and smells of smoke. There is nothing worse than eating with the smell of smokers present. The other issue is there was no air conditioning. I was sweating profusely while dinning at this location and did ask them to turn on the AC as soon as we sat down. Nothing changed with temperature over the course of the meal. I had to get up and walk out of the restaurant 3 times to step outside to cool off.
I would avoid this location unless you are visiting the casino. I feel that even though the service was excellent this location does not live up to the Morton's quality I have come to expect over the years. Non-Smoking and AC/proper temperature is a must when dining.
It was in a casino, which we should have done our research but we were not from the area. It smelled like cigarettes and was so dark we could hardly see. We started with lobster bisque soup and a salad. The starters were so awful we asked for our check and left. Would not go back. The server was very sweet and respectful — only great thing about Morton’s.
Went to Morton's for Christmas dinner with my family that flew in. This was a super special dinner as this is my first Christmas since I moved from my home town. The service was amazing and big cuddle to waitress she was super cool and very professional. The food on the other hand was very dissatisfying. I don't normally go out to eat as I'm used to cooking at home but two of us prefer the lobster bisque and filet with lobster tail. The lobster bisque was by far way two salty like over the top salty. The steak was cooked good and tender but no flavor at all. I did ask about it to our waitress and she had said all they do is put salt and pepper. I fully understand the salt pepper for some seasoning but it was just bland. I would think if I'm paying top dollar for a fancy dinner that there should be more flavor or seasoning.
Overall this was a wonderful experience for dinning it was just the food to be honest was not worth the $400+ bill.
If you read this review please don't be discouraged to try them out just know for the Filet there is not really any flavor. Better off staying home and cooking your own if your going for the food not the experience.
Excellent service with an established menu. Great option for Christmas Dinner away from home!
Christmas with family
Bacon steak was delicious and highly recommended. Great place to enjoy a special dinner.
The food and the service was outstanding. The atmosphere in the dining room was outstanding. So Ii would tell anybody that if you want a good dining experience go to MORTON.
The evening started off a little slow, we made reservations, however when we arrived (on time) It took 15 minutes for them to set our table. They took our drink order, but it took a while to get it. Waiter seemed to very busy so we can't fault him, but everything seemed to slow motion. Food was very good with the exception of my wife's dinner. She ordered Sea Bass, she received Salmon. They said they would "drop an order of Sea Bass", but by then the rest of us had nearly finished our dinner's. Compared to the Morton's Steakhouse (now closed) in Clayton, MO. Our dining experience was not even close to the old Morton's exceptional dining experience.
Definitely went to this restaurant with extremely high expectations. Steaks were over cooked and cold, not to mention we waited roughly 1 1/2 hours to even receive our meal. 1st time trying and my last time going. But the water came on time.
This was our first visit to Morton’s. The service was exceptional, our waiter snd his waitress trainee were appropriately attentive, our food was delicious and cooked to perfection.
Always a special place. Love the Morton’s team here in St. Louis. Great food, service and ambiance! Highly recommend!
Food was really good. We ordered the sautéed spinach w/mushrooms;lobster Mac twin lobster tails;Caesar salad and steak/lobster. Couple of drinks. Bill was $200 plus tax and tip for 2 people. Everyone in restaurant seemed to be enjoying their meal. Loved the ambience. Room was a little dark. Faint odor of smoke from casino across the hall.
The special thanksgiving meal was excellent. Best turkey we’ve ever had!
Everything was as expected-wonderful. The smoke smell from the casino.
Great food, but not an ideal location in the casino. There was terrible smell at the hostess desk, hopefully just a one off deal that’s been resolved. Service and food were top notch.
A bit overpriced for some of the menu items, drinks and steaks were great. If you’re looking for a great steakhouse I would recommend but not for anything else.
Wonderful Food! Waiter was attentive! Lobster Bisque was the best I have ever had!
Lovely I love everything about this place !!
Morton’s St Louis never disappoints! The atmosphere is great, the food awesome. Really enjoyed the lobster and new corn casserole. The entire team from Ryan the GM to each employee excel in customer service. This restaurant knows how to take care of its customers. Special shout out to Fiona our VIP server and Sondra who makes sure our cocktails are made and served with a smile and a hug! Eric understands good wines and goes above and beyond to make our dining experience wonderful.
Steaks were delicious and waitress very attentive
I get get downstairs and still had to wait 20 mins to be seated after being on time I was 7 months pregnant in heels and my party and I had to wait then the general manager canceled my sister reservation because we didn’t want to be seated together she just wanted to be there and because we had the same last name he said I had to pay upfront 2000 dollars and this isn’t a damn party so he canceled her reservation anyway which she was still able to make another one but I thought that was low of him it also says there’s a dress code and no street wear and a lot of ppl had sports wear I thought it would be more of an upscale setting but it wasn’t then we had to wait almost 2hrs for our food so yea I won’t be back
I really enjoyed myself for my birthday here, I was really treated great.
We went to Morton’s because we had received a gift card from before the pandemic . Did not realize it was in a casino, thought it was in Clayton. The steak was good, cooked a perfect mid-rare, the side of asparagus and scalloped potatoes were fine . The cheesecake dessert was delicious . It’s just that the smoke from the casino spilled into the restaurant and made the meal less pleasant. If they had glass doors or something at the entrance I think that would have helped .
The overwhelming stench of old cigarette smoke was gross. If I had known that this restaurant was inside the casino that allowed smoking I would have chosen a different restaurant. That being said the wait staff were excellent the food was tasty. The maitre d was accommodating
Our experience was phenomenal and definitely a moment to remember from the food to the outstanding service we got and very humorous as well which we love people with flare and personality, would we come there again? ABSOLUTELY!!
Thank y’all for a great time and we will be back St.Louis with are daughters so get the extinguisher cause they may burn the mother down lol
My wife and I are in town on a business trip and decided to book a reservation at Morton’s. The staff and service level here is incredible. Our waiter, Peter, absolutely qualifies as a fine dining service professional as did the Maitre d. The food was very good.
The location left a lot to be desired. When we booked through OpenTable we didn’t realize this location is inside a casino. It is accordingly loud and reeks of cigarette smoke. I have to imagine it’s to cover the cigarette odor, the interior of Morton’s is heavily perfumed. The staff was very gracious and tried to move our table to reduce the smell but it isn’t really something in their control.
I would love to dine with the wonderful staff here again but we don’t have any desire to enter the building again.
Morton's in St Louis is as always a fine place to meet, drink, and dine. Excellent ambiance, excellent bartender. All food courses are well made and served at appropriate temps and very timely. Will certainly return.
Extremely slow service, our server was super busy.
Great dinner. Great service.
Morton's The Steakhouse - St. Louis was an excellent choice for dinner. The ambiance was excellent and our server was amazing! Food and Drink were on point!!
Great food and service. First class restaurant.
Restaurant is within casino and smells very smokey. We sat down and the staff was excellent, attentive and offered to move us. The smell and ambiance was not good. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all and I can understand why. This was not what we expected from a Morton’s.
Not what I expected from Morton’s Steakhouse or any fancy steakhouse. I have been to a few others in different states. $18 margarita with cheap tequila. Wine recommendation was not a good choice. Brought the wrong drink to begin and only asked if we wanted to change it. Just overall a place I wouldn’t recommend for the price especially for a special occasion like a birthday.
Felt pretty bad for taking my wife to this steakhouse for her birthday. We usually celebrate birthdays and anniversaries at Steakhouse and definitely at the bottom of all the places we’ve been.
Just absolute fantastic meal! Can’t say enough good things about the whole experience!
The night started with a drink being spilled on my guest of honor. We were charged for a drink we did not consume, then charged for a rewards membership that they did not register. This was horrible! I do not have the energy to explain what all is wrong here, but over all it is just a casino eatery, people were in jeans and t shirts, not the experience you would expect from their website.
Although the steak was perfect. The rest was junk. The service lacked. I was constantly chasing the servers for something I will personally never recommend this Morton’s to anyone. And actually hope this review will help deter one from going to.
Completely understaffed not the wait staffs fault
Outstanding food and service. I love the atmosphere. Nice wine displays. Great time.
