Morton's The Steakhouse - Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I made reservations here to celebrate 10 years dating on New Years day. Our experience was quite disappointing for what we paid and will certainly not go back. Our server (Cassidy) took very long just to come by initially and we waited 30 mins just to get drinks when it really wasn't even busy. He also seemed irritated when asking him questions and moreso over us wanting to split the 24oz porterhouse. I don't know about most, but a 48oz porterhouse for 2 seems way too much especially when a 24oz is around 1900 calories. He was really trying to sell us on getting the bigger cut and decided not to which may have ticked him off somemore. We still spent the same if not more with the extra salad and seafood platter on top of the 2 sides so don't see why it should of. Once we got the smaller porterhouse we were quite relieved we didn't order the bigger one as we'd have taken most of it home. He took very long to come back and check on us in the beginning, though he did do good pours of wine for the wife. We also didn't get any bread nor were offered any. He even asked us if it was our first time dining there which we told him it had been. I had to mention this to the people at the front on my way out as I was leaving quite displeased. I really only asked them about the bread and mentioned the length of time it took to get the first drinks. I just feel that coming to a place like this one should expect and get reasonable service. He tried to chat us up a bit towards the end as he probably noticed we were peed off but by then it was too late. He mentioned how busy it was the night before for New Years Eve and why a little burnt out but don't take it out on your customers. I would have loved to save myself a lot of money and had a much better experience elsewhere. I still tipped him around 15% as I got friends in the service industry and don't really prefer to stiff anyone in the business.
I was disappointed in the atmosphere. My wife and I had are 19th wedding anniversary dinner at Morton's in Scottsdale. We were seated at the back of the restaurant near a corporate dinner where the doors were almost always open and then a table of four women celebrating a birthday that were almost as loud as the whole backroom. They burned the top of the steak making it inedible with out cutting off the chared top. They did not cook it to the correct temperature, it was medium next to the bone and well done everywhere else. The staff was so concerned with the back room that the rest of the restaurant lacked the same kind of attenrion to detail that we become used to having at Morton's. This is our first time at this location having moved to Phoenix recently, sadly it was a disappointment.
The food tastes ok but it wasn't great. For the prices, they should get the steak right. Both steak orders were wrong. And the server was not good. We were never offered bread though everyone around us was. And she did not offer any recommendations about food even though we told her it was our first time there. If we asked a question she seemed annoyed. She seemed eager to get rid of us. For $100/plate, the food and service should be better.
This is the 4th visit to Mortons. Every time the food was delicious and the service was exceptional. My only complaint on this visit was the prices. It appears as though Mortons has raised their prices on everything. We usually eat there during the summer months. This time it was mid November. Maybe this had something to do with the prices?? Next time we will try another prime steakhouse such as Donovans or Eddie V's.
I have been going to Morton's for my Birthday for many years now. We have our favorite servers, Jane and Eric!, but all the staff is friendly and helpful. This is a great place for a Steak, but also love the crab crabs and the Lobster Mac & Cheese. You can never go wrong with anyone of their soufflés to order. Also fun to just sit in the bar area and have an amazing cheeseburger and fries with a Martini
In comparison to the other high end steak houses...this was just mediocre. Filet was good but nothing special. Brussel sprouts were some of the worst I've ever had. Chopped salad was good but again, not a stand out. For the price...there are much better steak places to dine at.
Go for the steaks, not the sides. My dad and I both had the Cajun rib-eye. Delicious. May want to stay away from the mashed potatoes, they leave something to be desired. Steaks get a 5 start rating, the salads and sides a 3. Since we went for the steaks, all good.
We are returning customers. The food is top of the line. They made this night extremely special as my son is deciding on ASU and it was a special son/mom night. The service was exquised, if you want the best steak and lobster come here. The Brussel sprouts are mouth watering. They spared not expense at making this an experience we won't forget and will be back! Well done Mortens 👌🏻.
The environment was wonderful and the staff were great. We went there for our anniversary dinner and the evening was perfect. A picture taken of us was given to us from the staff for the special day which was a very delightful touch. The Bar staff opened our wine and ventured our way in the restaurant to make sure our glasses were filled throughout the course of our meal. That was very nice. The server Regina (Gina) was very delightful and we enjoyed the smile she carried along with the conversations. She really made our first time at Morton's a very memorable occasion. The meals were delicious and cooked to perfection. We started off with appetizers, entrees and ended the meal with scrumptious desserts. Thanks to her and the staff, this was a wonderful night to remember and we definitely will be back for the experience and the food.
Went there to try it out for Resturant Week. Once we asked for the resturant week menu, we were treated like second class citizens. We also noted another server roll her eyes when the table across from us asked for the resturant week menu. Service was ehh, had to remind server to bring out the bread. Dim lighting, reminds me of the old Las Vegas dining feel. Not Likely to go back.
This was our 43rd anniversary and we could have gone to The Four Seasons Hotel BUT Morton's standards are always high and 5 Star...I hate if when we go to some where else with high ratings only to be let down.....so go with what you know and YES great evening...Thanks Scottsdale Morton's!!!!
We were celebrating my husband's birthday. Those limp Dardens' caesars with stale cheddar croutons miss the mark even with extra dressing. Our cajun ribeyes were only very lightly seasoned. Our waitress wasn't having a particularly happy time. We expect more for a $215 meal. Great molten chocolate cakes, though.
I indicated it was our 23rd wedding anniversary and the staff did not recognize. The table next to us got a card and dessert. I felt a little let down. The dinner was a surprise for my husband. We flew there from Albuquerque just for your restaurant. Oh well.
