We had a wonderful experience celebrating our Anniversary!! Great food, service and even a complimentary dessert to celebrate.. loved it!
I had the “lump cake cakes”. Horrific! The escargot our business clients ordered was also horrific. The salmon and steak was very good. It will be a cold day in Hell the next time I return here.
Our server was very nice and experienced. The steaks were good and prepared to specifications, the chopped salad was also good. We asked for no onions in the salad and that request was honored but when the bread came it was onion bread which neither of us would eat. Onion bread is a huge turnoff for us and because there was no other option available we won’t return. It ruins the meal.
Server Mark did a nice job.
This was the first time dining at Morton's; we were not impressed. The steak was flavorless, the sides were nothing special: the asparagus was good but the potatoes were just cubed baked potatoes. The sides and steak were served warm but not hot. The steak had no char on it. Overall the service was good but the food was lacking, did not compare to any of the Maestro steak places.
Best steak ever!
Delicious! Lovely waitress who was attentive. Filet mignon done as requested. Molten chocolate lava cake dessert - nothing better!
Morton's did not disappoint... we split the chopped house salad, plenty to share. We had the salmon and filet mignon. Both good, but definitely recommend the filet. Perfectly cooked! Brussels sprouts very good, again plenty to share. Since the desserts always "take 30 min to prepare", so you order before you've eaten your meal when you're still hungry...we ordered the bread pudding. OMG it was the best we've had! Also, the onion bread and whipped butter to start the meal to die for...soooo good!!! Great food! Great service! Pricey, yes! I would give 5 stars for ambiance, but we were seated at the table on the edge, just before the kitchen.
The wait staff at Mortons does an outstanding job....They go out of their way to make sure everything is just " Right"...This is my Favorite place to eat...The food is outstanding...Nothing compares to it....The steaks are always perfect and tender..the seafood cooked just right and the booths are so much fun...Nice and big and comfy....We absolutely love it here and come often
Debbie & Mark
We went to Morton's for belated Valentine's Day date. We went a little early to sit at the bar and have a couple of cocktails. They came to get us when the table was ready. We had bacon wrapped scallops to start and then we each ordered steak...of course as it is a steak house. The food and service was excellent. We do not usually go out so high end but it was a really nice treat. Definitely recommend to anyone.
Jane was a great server! The food never disappoints.
I love Mortons, always have. My boyfriend & I went here for this past Valentines Day & like always, the food was AMAZING! HOWEVER, I asked our waitress if they still did the special occasion cards (basically, they take your photo, print it out right away and stick in a cute little black card with a bunch of "staff members" signatures on it really the hostess just gets creative and signs everyones name with a different font but the concept is still cute & unique) & I was she said yes they do. So naturally, I was really looking forward to getting one of those cheesy photos & we didn't! Even AFTER I mentioned it!!! Also, I'm not sure if its just me having not been there in a while, or maybe it just happened to be 'off' that night, but I swear they changed their creamed corn which was one of my favorite items on their menu :(. Other than that, the waitress was very attentive and friendly and the food was phenomenal (as I mentioned before). I will always go back to Morton's time and time again. The timeless style and reputation of Morton's outplays the newer competition (like Dominick's, yuck!) every time in my opinion.
The food was excellent. But everything on the menu is overpriced compared to nearby restaurants of equal quality. For example, the same center cut filet mignon is $10 more at Mortion's than at Eddie V's. A glass of wine for $15 is excessive, I can buy a bottle of good German Riesling for $15. I enjoyed my food but the pricing makes the whole meal feel like a ripoff. I will not be back anytime soon.
Valentines Dinner. Food was prepared just right and we weren’t rushed! Great evening.
All around excellent experience. Pricey, but that is to be expected, and worth it. Moderate noise level makes it possible to carry on a conversation. Nothing cute or trendy about this classic steakhouse, which was fine because we were not looking for cute and trendy. Great place for two adults to have dinner. Also, it was Valentines Day, and we never felt rushed.
My husbands birthday!
Decided to try Morton's for the 1st time with their V-day filet and lobster tail special for $59. For the $300 bill including tip and bottle of wine, I expected WAAAY better value. Food was average but not worth $300, service was slow. Waitress was nonexistent for 20 mins while waiting to pay tab, restaurant was half empty so she wasn't busy with too many tables. As stated, 1st time here, and did value was not worth the tab.
A couple of the steaks were too cooked and not tender at all. For the price we expected much more.
The steak was way too tough. We should've sent it back. Tried the leftovers in a sandwich the next day and it was unedible. The shrimp scampi was good, as were the martinis. Other than that, it was way too overpriced for the quality of food.
Ok, but nothing special. Typical steakhouse. Sides were so so. Steak was good but for $55 you would expect that. However services was good.
Long wait for drink service, and when one of us asked to substitute a couple shrimp for scallops in a mixed grill the manager said it couldn’t be done. Unimpressive experience
My husband and I were looking forward to a nice dinner and evening at Morton's in scottsdale. Didn't happen. Our server (forgot her name) was terrible. it was clear she didn't listen. we asked for our cocktails in tall glasses, they came in short glasses. however we didn't say anything at that point. she spoke way too fast with the specials etc even after we asked her to slow down. she asked us if we wanted bread. umm usually nice restaurants just bring the bread out without asking if you want it. very weird. my husband's plate was put down in front of him and was 'scalding hot', like it had actually been in the oven, and he burned his finger. he wasn't warned that the plate was hot (which is normally what a good server will do). we ordered a medium steak and it came well over done. they offered to make us another one, but at that point we were so done, we just wanted to get out of there. the crab cakes were not good either. no flavour at all. it was a terrible dinner and terrible experience. now I know why there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. the manager did come over and said they would take the steak off our bill, but overall, we were so disappointed with the service, food and overall experience. we will not go back there or recommend to anyone.
I clicked on Make a Reservation from the Restaurant Week menu and was taken to Open Table. When we arrived at the restaurant I was told that Restaurant Week was over. The click from the Restaurant Week menu should have said something so we had to pay Morton's regular prices. The dishes are so large it was easy to share so that was fine bit the steak was not worth the price paid.
The food, service and atmosphere were good. Compared to other top end restaurants it was just average- not a bad experience but not a memorable experience either.
This visit to Morton's was very disappointing. I ordered the 6 oz filet Dianne and I ordered it medium rare. It came rare. It was tender and very tasty, but rare, and the mushrooms were tough as cardboard. First time ever that I've seen served mushrooms that were hard to chew. I ordered a shrimp cocktail, which was superb. But at $25, it had better be superb. I also ordered a Caesar salad with tomatoes and a glass of house Merlot. The house Merlot was $17. The tomatoes never came. In fact, the Caesar salad never came. My bill, witha 20% tip, came to $112. For a shrimp cocktail, 6-oz filet and a glass of house wine (with NO sides) that was, in my humble opinion, an outrageous price. Service, obviously, was nothing special. For $112, everything should be special. I will not be returning. There was no value here.
Good steak, tuna and salad. Baked potato was a little on the cool side. Prices are getting a little too high for us.
Consistant good food and service. Frequent dining location
We were a party of 4. 2 of us ate steak. The filet mignon was very good. The marinated sirloin was tough and over cooked for my liking of medium. I was too hungry at the time to complain
My wife and I made reservations here to celebrate 10 years dating on New Years day. Our experience was quite disappointing for what we paid and will certainly not go back. Our server (Cassidy) took very long just to come by initially and we waited 30 mins just to get drinks when it really wasn't even busy. He also seemed irritated when asking him questions and moreso over us wanting to split the 24oz porterhouse. I don't know about most, but a 48oz porterhouse for 2 seems way too much especially when a 24oz is around 1900 calories. He was really trying to sell us on getting the bigger cut and decided not to which may have ticked him off somemore. We still spent the same if not more with the extra salad and seafood platter on top of the 2 sides so don't see why it should of. Once we got the smaller porterhouse we were quite relieved we didn't order the bigger one as we'd have taken most of it home. He took very long to come back and check on us in the beginning, though he did do good pours of wine for the wife. We also didn't get any bread nor were offered any. He even asked us if it was our first time dining there which we told him it had been. I had to mention this to the people at the front on my way out as I was leaving quite displeased. I really only asked them about the bread and mentioned the length of time it took to get the first drinks. I just feel that coming to a place like this one should expect and get reasonable service. He tried to chat us up a bit towards the end as he probably noticed we were peed off but by then it was too late. He mentioned how busy it was the night before for New Years Eve and why a little burnt out but don't take it out on your customers. I would have loved to save myself a lot of money and had a much better experience elsewhere. I still tipped him around 15% as I got friends in the service industry and don't really prefer to stiff anyone in the business.
Very nice complimentary individual soufflé for our anniversary to top off our outstanding meal.
Delicious food and great service! Did special anniversary table service and free dessert for our special event.
Are server was not great. Had to ask several times for simple things. The one steak we ordered medium well was sent out almost rare and when it was taken back it came back the same way. My wife just left it.
We were there christmas eve for dinner. We were seated in a bad spot , the service was good , the food was just ok but it was a holiday so perhaps that was the problem. We were disappointed.
I was disappointed in the atmosphere. My wife and I had are 19th wedding anniversary dinner at Morton's in Scottsdale. We were seated at the back of the restaurant near a corporate dinner where the doors were almost always open and then a table of four women celebrating a birthday that were almost as loud as the whole backroom. They burned the top of the steak making it inedible with out cutting off the chared top. They did not cook it to the correct temperature, it was medium next to the bone and well done everywhere else. The staff was so concerned with the back room that the rest of the restaurant lacked the same kind of attenrion to detail that we become used to having at Morton's. This is our first time at this location having moved to Phoenix recently, sadly it was a disappointment.
The service and food were amazing! This was our first time visiting a Mortons, but will not be our last!!
Food was good, except I felt that my ribeye steak was not as tender as Imhave had in the past. Very pricey, but knew this prior to reservation. My wife liked the crab cakes.
