We always return for the great steak. This time we tried the seasonal steak and lobster with a sauce. The flavors were outstanding and the steak size was perfect.
A must have again before they take it away.
Food was delicious and steaks were just the way we ordered. The service was great and they were very attentive. We went for m my husbands birthday, they gave him a free dessert and even took our picture. We would definitely go back.
at the price point food should have been excellent ordered steak medium rare and it came out close to raw. food was good at the best. asparagus was cold and hard sent it back and it was no better. service was good but, again, at these prices servers should be excellent and more attentive. There are better steakhouses at better prices.
Fabulous as always!
Great food! Mario the bartender was very attentive to our needs. Drako the manager was also very nice and made sure we were happy with everything.
Server MICHEAL was outstanding, explained everything on the menu and made several recommendations which were excellent.
Small, very minor issue regarding appetizers timing, didn’t even notice,he brought to our attention, related he’d speak with the manger... subsequently comped.
Didn’t expected, didn’t even notice it, absolutely no problem on our end at all, I felt it was a nice touch from the restaurant to even make our meal more enjoyable.
Haven’t been a fan of ribeyes for a long time, 3yrs, He talked me into it couldn’t be happier with his recommendation. Big potato side, spinach and mushrooms combination, call excellent and up to Morton’s usual standards
I highly recommend this restaurant
Evening started out fine until the table behind us started dropping F bombs and talking quite loud. The other table along side of us mentioned it to management but they didn’t do anything about it. My steak had to go back because it wasn’t cooked enough. Our waitress would come to our table and then disappear for quite awhile. I had to call the manager over to take my steak back. Bus people set tables next to us putting their fingers inside the glasses and when serving reached across the table rather than walking around. When we went to pay it took forever for our waitress to come back with the receipt. As we left, we were asked how our meal and evening were, so we told them. The manager did take care of our meal and asked if we would return and give them another chance - which we will do.
Their wait staff and bus people need a lot of training. When one is spending this kind of money, the service and food should be equal in value.
For meat lovers only. Expensive but really good. I recommend the bone in ribeye and sautéed mushrooms
The worst meal we have eaten in years! The food was terrible! Will never go back to Morton’s and will never recommend the restaurant to anyone!
Service staff was not attentive . Had to track down a couple of times. Thus is second time I have experienced poor service recently. Service staff appears to be poorly trained.
Ed our waiter was fantastic. Great reception and ambience.
Waiter left us for huge expanses of time including for more than 20 minutes after he first brought us drinks, and he didn’t even make eye contact so I couldn’t get his attention to order some appetizers. He also didn’t bother showing us the cuts of meat and do the usual nice job selling the Morton’s difference. Food was wonderful but I’ll stick with other steak houses with similarly good food but better customer service (the rest of the staff there was good for their part save the manager who I feel should have noticed the long breaks with zero attention being paid as we sat with empty plates and glasses.
The best restaurant ever food is top notch the service was excellent and the atmosphere at Morton’s is great
The food was excellent. Perfectly prepared. The exception to this would be my crem brûlée. Instead of the custard consistency, my dish was completely liquid. It had a wonderful flavor but not what the dish is supposed to be like. Also VERY dark. Several tables of customers were using the flashlights on their phones in order to read menu. Very expensive place to dine. Even though it was wonderful, won’t be dining there again any time soon.
Birthday celebration but i was surprised how incredible loud it was. Could not hear my husband next to me.
Excellent Service and Food and loved our waiter and that he offered and took a picture of the four of us, printed and put in a Morton's card with Happy Birthday Written on the card! This was so nice and a wonderful keepsake of celebrating my husband's and good friend's birthday!
Overpriced and overrated. Also, we attempted to use our Landry Select card which had a $50 Credit on it and the system was down. The manager “manually” fixed the problem after we pleaded. So we got the $50 but did not get points for the $182 meal.
We always enjoy coming. Mario, in the bar, and the staff are always welcoming and wonderful.
Great birthday with personalized menu and personal attention. Great menu choices from special holiday menu too!
We were celebrating a birthday with another couple on a Monday evening. The mixed grill (filet mignon, scallops and shrimp) was superb and just the right portion size. Friends split the 24 oz. porterhouse which was very tasty. The four of us were able to split a salad (that's how large it is) and share the lyonnaise potatoes. Our server was at hand when needed and very pleasant. It's a fantastic restaurant for a special occasion and wonderful food.
This is a great place to celebrate and enjoy 5 star cuisine. I took my dad there for his birthday and mentioned the special occasion on Open Table when making reservations. They printed up "Happy birthday Dad!" on all of our menus AND came to our table to take a photo of our family. They even printed them out and made a copy for everyone. Very nice and personal touch. The wait staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable. The food came out perfect and everyone was very happy. Looking forward to celebrating more in the future.
Another great steak at Morton's The seasonal mushrooms are back and better than ever. The friendliness of the restaurant can not be beat!!!!
The food and service was impeccable. The price for drinks is a bit much.
Service was amazing!!! We had the rack of lamb and porterhouse steak, however, the lamb was very fatty. This was the worst rack of lamb I have ever had. Porterhouse was great...seasoned to perfection. We also had the short rib tacos but they were salty!
Celebrated my wife’s birthday. Suzanne our server was amazing and knowledgeable of the menu and history of the restaurant. She made out night very enjoyable.
The service overall was excellent! Edwin did a fantastic job. The rest of the team was very attentive and even had special anniversary menus made up and took our picture to mark the event. It was our anniversary and I stated this on the Open Table reservation. They even provided a free desert for us (lava chocolate cake, excellent!) Very nice and impressive.
The food was very good, though I've had just as good at less expensive restaurants. My wife had the petite fillet and I had the bone in ribeye. Hers was cooked as ordered, mine was a bit picker than I'd like, thus making it a bit tougher, especially the closer I got to the bone. The brussel sprouts we very good. The Tuna appetizer was good, though again, I've had better at lesser restaurants,
What did bother me was the wine we purchased. Now, I understand the mark up for liquor overall in the industry, but I've noticed many nice restaurants getting more in line with pricing, maybe 200-300% mark up max, many less. This night I chose a bottle of cab sav that was $95 thinking maybe we're getting a $35-40 bottle of wine. Come to find out, this bottle can be bought at Binney's for $16.99. That's a 559% mark up. And it was just OK. My suggestion here is to bring your own bottle and pay the corking fee. Even if $40, this would have cost us less than $60 instead of $95. Just thought that markup was way out of line compared to what I've experienced lately, though most restaurants I've been to in last year are more $$ and not $$. So take this for what it's worth.
The last issues I had here is ambiance. It is not for the romantic. Very loud overall and the restaurant was only half full (Sat night 8 pm reservation). Could not get over it. Wouldn't recommend for a romantic dinner out at all. Ruth's Chris much more cosy and quiet as one comparison.
Anyway, not the worst, but not the best. Do not plan to be back as we'll keep searching for a nice, romantic tier 1 steakhouse in the burbs.
We tried the grilled oysters and they were fabulous. We've been there before and my wife remembered having a cocktail that was no longer on the cocktail menu but the bartender made it for her anyway. Everything is big so either bring a big appetite or plan on splitting some of the dishes. My wife and I split the spinach salad and the baked potato side. It's expensive but we've never walked away with a bad experience.
Steaks were great as always. Our favorite restaurant in the suburbs.
A pleasant surprise! Terrific service by all, friendly, caring, professional staff. Outstanding food, the best food weve had in a long time. Top notch! Ask to sit in Mark's section.
My wife and I went there to celebrate our anniversary. The experience turned out to be a big disappointment. It started out with a watered down drink having to ask for another. Then next my wife had the baked onion soup that was so full of bread there was hardly any broth to it. On the main course we both had the Halibut fish special which was extremely dry.
Service was good but a very overpriced poor meal.
Morton's is one of our favorites. Good food, service and atmosphere.
VERY NICE PLACE BUT VERY EXPENSIVE I CAN'T BELIEVE 6 JUMBO SHRIMPS FOR $ 44.00. IF ITS GOING 2 BE THAT PRICEY MAKE SURE ITS ENOUGH ON THE PLATE. OVERALL NICE & ELEGANT PLACE. STAFF WAS VERY PLEASANT & OUR SERVER WAS SO NICE.
Server could of been more attentive. Brought check and wanted to order after dinner drinks
the steak was cut into pieces without consulting with us first. the meat was still good, but after going there for years, not sure it's still worth the higher price compared to the alternatives.
Another wonderful evening wine was great good was outstanding and the service was prefect. Why go anywhere else!
Always great at this location!
The food was good but the charring on my waygu steak ruined the steak flavor. When I finally got a taste of the steak that did not have the charred flesh, it was beyond delicious.
Always great, always consistent. Excellent, friendly service.
We love Mortons! It’s one of our special occasion “go to” restaurants. Food is delicious and service is impeccable.
