Great evening out for my husbands birthday.
Since we couldn’t get into Mastro’s, we made a reservation for my wife’s birthday at Morton’s. We were excited to go to Morton’s since it has been a few years since the last we’ve been there. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst experiences we have had in a very long time. Morton’s has really gone downhill. The last time we had a meal at Morton’s, it felt like a high end steakhouse. I would compare it to an Outback Steakhouse or Black Angus but Mastro’s prices. We had a party of seven so we had a nice, round table. Unfortunately, it was so loud we couldn’t hear each other across the table. Our waiter had to shout the specials, etc. to us. The waiter did a nice job overall but it felt like he really wanted to upsell everything on the menu. I felt like I was at a used cal lot. For starters, our cocktails were very average. The Cosmo’s and the Old Fashion wasn’t anything to brag about. The wine list was nice and we ordered a bottle of Trefethen and Cakebread. Both were very delicious. Our appetizer bacon wrapped scallops and mozzarella wrapped prosciutto were okay. I ordered my bone in rib eye “Pittsburgh style”. It came out charred but medium well. Not happy with it I sent it back and it came back season-less charred medium. I couldn’t eat it and didn’t want to send it back again. My wife ordered the 12oz. Filet Mignon. It came out charred and burnt tasting. She sent hers back and it came back also with no seasoning. She didn’t much of it. They took both of the bill which was very nice of them. Since we didn’t end up eating it. Our sides were also not very good. The asparagus and sautéed spinach were both over cooked. The au gratin potatoes tasted like potatoes with cheddar cheese on top of it. The plain baked potato was good. The Brussel Sprouts were also overcooked and had no flavor.
The deserts were good. We had the lava cake and key lime pie. Our waiter sold us the Landry’s Card and said Mastro’s was a part of it but I just found out it is not.

Took my wife for her birthday to our favorite Morton’s in SoCal. Top notch service, great cocktails and wine list. But you come here for the steaks and seafood. Always cooked to perfection and prime cuts. The sides are excellent as well.
Started with some oysters (fresh), wedge salads and French Onion soup. Then the ladies had the Filet Mignon and Lobster Tails, the guys the Chilean Sea Bass and a New York Strip. Accompanied by some mushroom caps and spinach and some Gouda Scalloped Potatoes.
Desert was a sinful Molten Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream. Oh and a bottle of Rex Hill Pinot Noir. Bravo Morton’s
We've been to this Morton's before. The staff is very cordial and welcoming. The service was exemplary. The steak's that we both had were a bit chewy and not very tender. The complimentary bread was very doughy and surprisingly uncut. The baked oysters were very small and the breading on top of them was a greater quantity than the oysters themselves.
Great space. Ordered the January dinner special for 2. Had our salads, filet came and no sides. Half way through(couldn't locate our server) found the manager and requested our sides. He apologized, placed the order again and they finally came as we were finishing our steak. I went to the restroom, during the interim, and found the men's room to be much like a gas station restroom....not very pleasant. I shared with the the manager who indicated it would be taken care of. They graciously comped one of the extra desserts we had ordered for our wives. I believe as a Morton's VIP they should've comped the entire meal. Very disappointing!
The whole event was superior, including service, Alexandria was at the table at the right time, always. It's as if she could read your mind. If I was thinking about an additional product she was there, ready to take the order. The food was served at the right temperature and ready to eat. The food was of the highest quality. You should make a reservation there, you won' t disapointed
Birthdays great value on the specials.
We went on a Tuesday night and requested to be seated outdoors. We had the entire seating area to ourselves and the manager graciously opened one of the plastic windows for additional air flow. The cold is definitely preferable during a pandemic. However, space heaters are not available for outdoor seating. The service was on point, as well as the timing and quality of the food! Probably, the best service I have experienced at Morton's!
Left without my lobster, manager said he would credit my card and never did. Steaks were not good. Appetizers were good. Was rushed out at the end. I think that’s how they forgot the lobster. Nice setting though.

We love Mortons but I was very disappointed with the service this time. Our reservations were 5:30pm. we were seated at 5:25. they took the order promptly and the food was served about 1 hour and 45 minutes later. they did serve the drinks timely.
the sad part is that there were 2 tables across from us that arrived after we did and they were served promptly (no wait) and their food was similar to ours, steaks and seafood.
Maybe these people are regulars and they will put their orders ahead of customers who only come once a month.
Great service. However steak was over done, sent back and New one came undercooked, but good overall.
Our server was very rushed throughout the meal- Started taking appetizer orders before our drinks even came out or before everyone was even at the table. Never even asked what temperature I wanted my steak cooked and brought it out incorrectly.
Super good food, great service. Y date and I were there on s Tuesday night, not fully crowded.

This location / experience was horrible. Long wait + bad service.
Starting off with hostess who was dressed very unprofessionally open toed shoes and large denim jacket over her clothes - when there is a sign at hostess desk stating "Proper attire required". Not a big deal but set tone.
Waitress was at best very uninformed and at worst just rude and did not provide good customer service. I'm sorry, but when paying the prices at Morton's, you expect good customer service.
Waitress was unaware of Landry's January special (which was on the Morton's website, we are Landry's members). We had to suggest that she ask the manager to confirm as her solution was "I haven't heard of it".
Ordered the Island Bessie drink (which, usually comes in a souvenir cow) and received it in a normal glass - asked waitress and she indifferently just said "I don't know about that". Not sure if waitress was trying to be funny but it wasn't and she was not helpful at all.
Did not clean the crumbs from table (as the staff usually does since the bread leaves crumbs) and we were brushing it off with our hands.
Arrived at 6:20 pm and did not receive our order until 8:00 pm - side dishes were cool temperature, obviously had been sitting out, even the dishes were cool to the touch.
Prime ribeye (a 70 dollar steak) ordered Med. rare and came out completely charred, taking a bite was like eating charcoal. Cajun Ribeye came out and was bloody rare (ordered med. Rare).
Bathroom had cocktail napkins instead of regular paper towels!
Manager (Brandon) was helpful and offered to replace the food (we only sent back the sides because they weren't hot) and ate part of the steak to not cause a scene. Offered a free dessert which they forgot to bring, we had to ask for it.
Overall for $100+ a person meal this was a disaster and I couldn't be more disappointed.
Our server/waitress was the sweetest. She handled 10 tables all by herself on NYE. morton’s definitely needed more staff on NYE.
Great New Years dinner. Massive prawns, delicious steak. Lobster bisque has giant delicious chunks of lobster. Love this restaurant.
Great service and food. Sad that they no longer have the chocolate souffle due to COVID. Servers were excellent, but the manager/host seemed to be gruff with us at check in. Screwed up my name with no apologies.
Nes year dinner was fantastic!

We've been to Morton's before, but the first time to this venue. Food was top notch as usual and hosting was phenomenal. Out waiter could have checked on us a little more, but overall, the service was still great. They were very good and serious about being safe with Plexiglas in between each booth. I would definitely recommend to everyone.
Holiday get together and birthday. Special touch with personalized menus “loved it”. 1st time experience for one of our guests and he was impressed with the great service & excellent food! Keep up the good work, see you again soon!
We had a group of 10 ppl everyone's food was cold and not cold and not cook as ordered. The baked potatos were cold and under done. Not a good Christmas experience
Best Christmas dinner. Will be coming back to celebrate Christmas again. Steak was absolutely perfectly cooked. Best lobster bisque I’ve ever had. Chocolate lava cake was to die for. Definitely recommend.
We had a lovely and romantic Christmas dinner. The service was great and everyone took COVID 19 precautions. Would recommend ❤️
My family and I have been to Morton's numerous times throughout the years and I see that even Morton's is not immune to staffing issues. Though service was great, there was clearly a problem in the kitchen. I thought it was just us, but I could clearly see frustrated faces as I looked around the room. The following is what we experienced with a 5:15 reservation.
- Bread took 30+ minutes to arrive
- Initial Coffee order was old and very strong tasting. The second cup was fine. The 3rd refill was ICE COLD.
- From the appetizer to the main course arriving there was a 45+ minute wait.
- 2 of our 3 steaks that were ordered "Medium" were actually served below RARE borderline raw. This is the first time I ever had to send steaks back at a place such as Morton's. We were disappointed to wait so long for the meal and have it not prepared the way it was ordered.
- Having 2 steaks re-cooked threw off the timing of our entire meal. The side dishes were cold by the time we got our steaks back.
I will say the Salmon was cooked perfect and was the highlight of our dinner, not the steaks unfortunately.
Our server did her best and offered some fresh mash potatoes for our re-cooked steaks. We appreciate the gesture and tipped like we had no issues, as it was not the servers fault.
Having been to Morton's numerous times, I know this was not a normal experience. We made the best of it and held our Christmas spirit high, but we clearly did not have an experience worthy of Morton's.
We celebrated our family Christmas. Everything was above average. We were greeted immediately. We wanted to have a cocktail in the bar first, the hostess told how to transition to the dining room -when we are ready. The waitstaff helped us with wine and entrée decisions. The food was delicious. The sundae exceeded our expectations. One of our steaks was “under”. - rare instead of medium rare but we didn’t ask for a correction AND ate the whole delicious meal. We left very happy!
Multiple service issues….
We always do Christmas dinner here and our enjoyment this time was the same as every other Christmas dinner. Excellent food, the Server, Kayla, was delightful, professional and very attentive to our needs. Thanks Morton’s for a wonderful evening. See ya next year!!

Would like to thank Morton's for being open on all major holidays. Our go to dinner spot. As always, the food and service were terrific.
We got the filet mignon and lobster tail, as well as a bottle of red wine. Everything was delicious, but our server, Paige, was exceptional. She made the entire experience worthwhile! We will be returning!
