Always a great steak at a great location. We always enjoy the experience here. This is our go to restaurant in Santa Ana.
Adam was our server he was exceptional! Great service very helpful & friendly Made our night !
Normally great service here. Our waitress was bad. Apart from service the food is the best
Came to visit family here in SoCal and knew Morton’s wouldn’t let us down. Excellent steaks, appetizers and wine selection.
Our server Celeste was top notch, one of the best we have had. She knew the menu and prep and described the desired adjustments she suggested to the order perfectly. Really attentive and helpful.
Food was just right tonight, portions too. Nice wine selections and our picks were perfect.
It was wonderful. I felt pampered and the food was great.
Came here for our anniversary celebration and ordered the Cajun Ribeye medium rare and Short Rib. The short rib was good but the Cajun Ribeye came out burnt on the outside (con) and medium rare in the inside (pro). We did not complain to the waiter because we did not want to wait for another steak to come out. The bourbon drinks were good but the tequila drinks came out watered down.
Omar is the best waiter. Just ask him if you have any questions about the wines or the menu.
We love the food and the New York ambiance of Morton’s. Our favorite waiters are Bailey and Ben.
We spent almost 200 dollars for a so so meal. Our waiter was very good, but the food was marginal. My lamb chops were almost raw and had to be sent back. the sides were 14 dollars each and just ordinary. For some reason there were a lot of noisy small children running around in the restaurant (not Morton`s fault, but very annoying). All in all we will not return.
Terrific as always
We had a great time celebrating my girls Birthday here. Yes it was pricey, but Oscar was a great waiter. Also they took our picture and printed it on a hand written card.
Something small but very nice.
Food was great, my King Crab & filet mignon was amazing. My girlfriend's 22oz bone in was really delicious. Not the most impressive steak, but darn good.
Ambiance was so nice quiet at 6:30pm. By 7:30 started getting busier.
The food was fantastic and the service was outstanding.
Wonderful as always
My food was okay, I asked for my steak to be medium and it was more well done. A few disappointments about the service and quality of food. I had a Landry select card and it had an amount of $ 25.00 off and told the waiter and he never used my gift card. The waiter wasnt too attentive to us and we had a party of 8. Not to mention our table wasn’t ready for us and we had reservation at 8:15pm.
Not a good experience to start off the New Years.
Food is always exceptional but it seems ports added 2 additional rows of tables to squeeze in more people which cause the servers to work harder than was comfortable for them and caused or noise and caused us to be cramped. I do not think that was a good idea.
Love the sea bass and my husband really enjoyed his as well.
We have eaten at Morton’s several times over the past few years. Normally the steaks are exceptional as is the service. This time the steaks were tougher and the server was not very attentive. We had an okay experience.
I took my daughter for her 18th birthday and not even a complimentary dessert nor a greeting . Sad for her.
We normally go to Ruth’s Chris and Mastros which we should’ve done.
All excellent except service because our table was abandoned by the waiter.
The bathrooms were very dirty. The cigar smoke floated in from the patio. They were out of mashed potatoes, the one item my wife was really looking forward to. You can’t make those?
Berry was not exactly enthusiastic about the presentation and read the specials while I was in the dirty bathroom.
It was our anniversary. Morton’s was my favorite restaurant. I was disappointed.
It was 2:00 in the afternoon so there should have been enough time to make mashed potatoes. No reason at all for the bathroom. The urinals had both overflowed. I am unhappy with my experience.
I have made the reservation and have to wait more than 15 min to get the table. after have sit I have to wait almost over 1 1/2 hour for food in, of course, no time for service, they are very busy. Overbook the table and just want to earn money without any service
We love Morton’s and other Landry restaurants. For dinner my wife wanted a lobster dinner for Christmas so I booked a 5 pm early dinner to ensure she would get what she wanted.
When we were seated the guest to her right was enjoying a whole Morton’s lobster. Besides a salad and appetizer, we ordered 2 lobster dinners. After getting are bread and salad, the waitress informed us that there were no lobsters for dinner today.
Also we ordered escargot for the first time st Morton’s, a favorite dish of my wife. We were expecting to get those escargot served in a shell with a tiny fork and to pull those juicy escargot out of those shells. Instead we got a tiny muffin pan with 6 over banked escargots with a little biscuit on top. We told the waitress that was not what we expected and they were over cooked. She said well than why did you eat all 6? Probably because it was like eating 6 tiny dried raisins similar in size and texture and hoping the next one would be better than the last.
We than ordered baked oysters, 2 pounds of crab legs for my wife and the steak and lobster Oscar and fries for me and all this was over the top good and of Mortons best quality.
We were seated fairly promptly. Our server was very nice and attentive. However the kitchen was extremely slow and we waited quite a long time for our food which came barely warm. I had a rib eye which was tough and not very flavorful. My husband had the filet Oscar and the lobster had obviously been cooked quite a while before the steak was served and was cold and chewy. The crab cakes were good. The creamed spinach and mashed potatoes were also good. But what should have been the highlight of the meal, the stakes, were not up to standard for Morton's. It was busy because it was Christmas but a restaurant of this caliber should plan for sufficient staff and kitchen help on a busy holiday so that the dining experience is excellent. They had run out of onion rings by 4 p.m. and we had to substitute a different item rather than get the onion rings which we had wanted.
It was a bummer to get stuck out in a black room clearly added for the holiday. Felt like the kids table. Disappointed.
Everything started out well with a very friendly helpful waitress. After we finished with the appetizers she cleared the table and said she would be back in 1 minute with our entrées. 20 minutes later I had to summon a supervisor and Inquire what happened our waitress and more specifically our entrées. She never returned to the table to explain that are entrées were going to be delayed. They were brought by another Waiter not our waitress. Later she appeared and when asked By one of the guests where she had been she responded, well you were in the bathroom.
I personally had ordered the Porter house steak and found it inedible due to the amount of fat. The Rib eye was considered terrific by another. I have been to this restaurant several times previously twice on Christmas day and never had the service been so bad. Previously I had no complaints and rated this restaurant outstanding. The delay in receiving the entrées and not being informed by our waitress what was happening was totally unnecessary and inappropriate
We wanted a luxury dining experience and Morton’s delivered with atmosphere, service and amazing food.
Meh. This will be my last visit. Waited 30 min for our reservation. Waited one hour for our main course to arrive. Steaks and sides were both over cooked. What a shame.
4 steaks were not cooked properly, either too rare or too well done. Service started out great but became very slow. They were very understaffed which is crazy because it was Christmas Eve. I went with a party of 6 and it took 2 hours and 40 minutes from start to finish. Also soup was luke warm and my steak was luke warm. They didnt have enough staff to run out our food on time.
My wife ordered her steak MR came out MW. Ladies and men’s room were dirty. Not worth the money!
Made a reservation for Christmas Eve for me, my husband and his parents. Asked to be seated at a table near an outlet just in case my mother-in-law's O2 machine battery failed. They accommodated that request even though we never needed the outlet. They had a chair removed from the table before we arrived so we were able to wheel my mother-in-law's wheelchair right into place. She asked me after dinner if we were in heaven because she was sure that food was what we would be served in heaven. She has never given such high praise of restaurant food. The restaurant was terribly noisy which is hard with the elderly/hearing impaired but the service by Oscar was wonderful and my in-laws both raved about the food so we were thrilled.
Service was lacking due to being short staffed. Had to wait 30 minutes when we had reservations. Food was ok. Mastro’s is much better quality and better service for the same price point.
Had reservations there for our anniversary and we got comped a lemon souffle. We ordered lobster bisque and salad and our server split these starters for us. Service and food here never disappoints.
Our server, Joseph, was the best waiter! He was attentive, personable and engaging. Morton's is fortunate to have him!!
The food was very good and the menu had a great selection. It was a little too noisy because of the holiday crowd but otherwise it was a nice place to celebrate an anniversary.
Came here midweek for lunch with my work team. Great food as always! Service was a little slow. Overall, it took about 2 hours for the 6 of us to be served lunch. It was a celebratory occasion, so we weren't in a huge rush. However, I would not come here if I needed to be out in an hour.
Morton’s food and service always hits the bullseye! Our waitress always smiled and was very helpful and the food... excellent! Thank you Morton’s for making our anniversary special!
For being a steakhouse, my filet was over cooked and overpriced. The bread was awesome as was the capellini.
We had a confirmed reservation Saturday Dec 15 for 7:45 pm at the Morton’s Steakhouse in Santa Ana, California. We arrived on time and checked in with the hostess. The restaurant was very busy, and the hostess asked us to wait in the bar for our table, which we did.
The service in the bar was ineffective--it took over 1/2 hour for our drinks to arrive--other tables that arrived 15-20 minutes after us received their drink orders before us. After bringing these issues to their attention, and after waiting over 40 minutes after the reservation time—still with no restaurant table available—we elected to dine elsewhere.
Despite Morton’s failure to provide timely service, and their failure to timely honor a reservation made through Open Table, the restaurant had the audacity to mark our reservation as an Open Table "No Show" after we left. If anything, it’s the restaurant who failed to honor our reservation, not our failure to appear timely.
Normally we have an excellent experience at this restaurant and have gone there many times for special occasions.
The service was severely lacking. Our waiter rarely came by the table to see what we needed. He had a bad attitude and seemed as though he'd rather have been anywhere else.
One steak was ordered medium rare but was delivered well done. The waiter should have seen this before it hit the table. Two of our party ordered steak and lobster and the lobster was very chewy. We sent it back.
There were 2 birthdays in our group. The waiter was aware of this as he delivered birthday menus. They have always provided birthday desserts but nothing was offered or done for the birthdays. Overall, it was the worst experience we've had there. Since we usually enjoy it so much we will go back and hope this was an anomaly.
