Filet Mignon Trio
Our waitress was amazing. She did an lovely job. Our steak was ordered med, came out cooked well. Had to send back twice. I never send back food anywhere, but a steak restaurant should know how to cook a steak. Brussel sprouts were underwhelming.
Fifth wedding anniversary. Extremely hot but very lovely
Graduated with my Doctorate Degree a friend took me to dinner.
Everything was very good and prepared well. However both of the steaks I ordered were very pink like rare as I ordered medium to medium rare. King crab legs and the drinks were amazing. Not somewhere to take someone for a birthday dinner or anniversary.. didn’t have the atmosphere. Definitely will be coming back soon
Excellent dinner tonight! Enjoyed their twin lobster tail special. Finished with their delicious chocolate lava cake. Superior selection of wines by the glass. Good service. Pleasant evening outside.
Birthday. A magnificent display of service and food!!!
Great as always. Great severs and even better food. Will be back for sure.
Steak probably had 6 ounces or more of gristle in addition to the bone. Not the best quality steak
Four people at our table and steaks were all overcooked. Two of us sent our steaks back. STILL not medium. Did not complain again. Very surprised this happened at a "steakhouse". I had higher expectations.
We were celebrating a birthday and the staff really created a special moment for the person being celebrated by acknowledging the day with a special menu. The food was spectacular which paired well with the re-invented classic cocktails and nice selection of wines.
It was really nice to be able to enjoy a meal outside.
The majority of the issue was the outdoor dining because of COVID-19.
Awesome service and food
Great dinner tonight! Enjoyed the steak and seafood special, a couple filet Mignon and lobster tails. Mashed potatoes were very good and the chocolate lava cake didn't disappoint. Great value! Their smaller individual portions of their signature bread was quite good. Excellent selection of wines by the glass, as usual. Service was very good.
The service was amazingly good. Our server was perfect.
But spending a lot of money in an uncomfortable setting was not worth food. Food was ok.
It just the setting of eating in downtown San Jose leaves something to be desired. People running around and screaming foul language is not ideal.
Chairs uncomfortable. Airplanes over head too noisy.
Then it got cold. While they have heaters they didn’t work. No propane, we were freezing.
No propane!?!? Poor management. Not the same experience as before which is understandable but not even close . Again our server was amazing!
We had a fabulous meal and service was wonderful.
Fast and friendly service, social distancing done correctly.
Very good dinner this evening. The patio is open and social distancing protocols followed. They were running a lobster dinner special this weekend. My wife and her mother enjoyed that, while I enjoyed a delicious filet Mignon. Delightful chocolate lava cake to finish the dinner. Service was good. As usual, nice selection of wines by the glass.
Best lunch ever! Delicious and absolutely perfect! Get the wedge salad and petite filet.
Great service and food. A little noisy but we were outside because of covid.
This is our favorite restaurant and every time we go, we always get fantastic service.
We went for my husband's birthday. Seating was nice and at a safe distance from the other tables. Staff were very conscious of keeping things clean. And food was delicious.
Excellent quality food and great drinks...will go back
Everything was great per usual. My wife was a tiny bit disappointed that some of the normal side items weren't available, but everything we ordered was excellent. Thank you!
Bread service was not offered. We requested bread and received 2 style rolls. Salads were very good. NY strip was weak, baked potato was on the hard side and the butter was ice cold, straight out of the refrigerator. We are fans of The Grill and wanted to give Morton’s a try. We were very disappointed.
Horrible service and severely undercooked steaks
It was good. Server Trisha was very attentive.
First time dining out for 3 months. Patio dining - the staff did a great job to make the experience a wonderful one - the food was awesome and it was pretty good value.
Morton’s had a great COVID system. There were 7 tables outside, all over 6’ apart. The servers were great and touched items as little as possible with gloves. I felt very safe and the food and staff were amazing.
Wonderful evening, we always enjoy Morton’s. Great service and quality of food is consistently outstanding. Thank you for a great evening.
We love Morton's so took advantage of the patio opening up and our first dining out experience since Mid-March covid-19 shelter at home requirement.
It was great to get out!
Service was exceptional; food and martini's were great.
It was windy that evening, so bring a jacket or heavy sweater for the patio. One of the staff did turn on the outdoor heater and that helped a lot.
Downside (not Morton's fault) is the excessive noise caused by people nearby... on the plaza. Not real romantic..can't wait for inside seating to be allowed again. We'd rather be inside and experience a more intimate atmosphere.
But 5 Stars for all of the staff at this Morton's for exceptional service in doing their best to make this a welcoming experience.
With restaurant dining opening up for outdoor seating following the Coronovirus, the staff at Morton's did a fabulous job. My husband and I were seated promptly and provided with paper menus. We started with a round of Lemon Drops and the Bacon-wrapped Scallops. The drinks were delicious and our scallops cooked perfectly. The wedge salad that followed was also prepared quite well (I do balk a bit at the price considering it's an iceberg wedge but that's a personal choice). And, as it's steakhouse, we shared the cajun-spiced Prime cut steak along with a loaded baked potato. While the steak and potato were delivered together, we were missing our toppings. My only suggestion would be to ask for assistance when delivering the main course so it arrives hot and ready to be slathered in butter! When they arrived, I had to cut the butter into my potato. Otherwise, it was a nice experience for being able to dine out again. Our waiter, Tom, was attentive and the manager, Treyvon, helped out where needed. And, the Frank Sinatra music in the background was perfect. We would definitely dine there again.
Love the new dining room atmosphere. Much more inviting and warm than the previous location. The staff was wonderful. Great bartender and wait staff. The food was excellent as always.
Our Filet Mignon and all the side dishes were very good, prepared the way we like it. Servers were very friendly. We would definitely recommend this Steakhouse to a friend.
Food was good, we were a little cramped in our table with 4 large adults. It was a birthday dinner and the birthday guy had his name printed on the menu with "Happy Birthday". That was a very nice touch!
If you want a good steak experience, this is the place to go. It's pricey but you expect that from a place like this. I think it could have used a bit better service as we got our salad before we got our before-dinner cocktail that we had ordered before the salad. But the staff was very friendly from the maitre'd to the server. They have a Gouda potatoes Au Gratin on their menu that is absolutely OUTSTANDING. And they made a delicious, cold gin martini in a tall glass with a blue cheese stuffed olive. If you haven't tried Morton's, check it out for a special occasion soon!
We got to the restaurant 15 minutes early. They gave us a heads up that they were running a little behind but still managed to get us seated in a cute corner at our scheduled time. Once seated we were forgotten! The buss boy ended up finally giving us water and bread. After 1 hour of WAITING for a server to even say hi to us I asked the hostess who our server was. She went and talked to the manager who then sent our server over to us. Afterwards everything was fine. The waitress apologized several times saying there was a mishap with communication with the hostess. She ended up giving us our appetizer and dessert free. So other then the ensnare wait time everything was delicious.
Pedro was very good but stuck doing everything for our table
As a result, service was very slow.
Other tables around us taken care of but there were multiple people helping
Eventually it was better but timing off; again because he was serving, bussing; you name it
The oysters, ribeye, and wine was great. I sides were just ok. Service was ok. Relatively expensive compared to similar restaurants.
