Had a wonderful dinner with my wife and son as a pre-theater night out. Service, food, and ambiance was great. I have already booked reservations to go back. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

There are some things one can count on and Morton's on Post is one! The meal was perfect, our server was attentive and accommodating, and parking at Union Square (as usual) was plentiful. We went to the SF Playhouse to see Born Yesterday and were able to spend a leisurely hour and a half over drinks and dinner never for one moment feeling rushed.

Took my daughter here on Sat for her birthday. So disappointed with steaks. We had the petit filet. It was so petit it looked lost on the plate. I asked for medium and it was charred. Back to Alfred’s for a proper steak dinner next time

I was very disappointed with this visit. As a two top, we were sat at a four top and the extra dishes were not taken away. We ordered drinks and an appetizer to start. The appetizer arrived before the drinks or even water or bread for that matter and the puffs on top of the escargot were burnt and the escargot chewy with very little garlic butter. The cocktails arrived after the appetizer and were wonderful. The waiter was kind, but not especially attentive to our needs. The steak and lobster was delicious, properly cooked to order and the wine we paired with dinner arrived just before the main course and was good, albeit pricey for the product. The sides, hashbrowns and grilled asparagus at $15 a pop should have been wonderful too, but lacked flavor and the asparagus was woody and chewy, so not properly trimmed. The deserts were lovely cheesecake that was brûlée on top and berries with cream. Our Landry club status was not acknowledged at check in and our waiter didn't know about the off menu main special offered to members we wanted to order. Our experience at other Morton's has been much more personalized. Especially when spending $300 for a meal, we want it to be special. I felt this Morton's to have the main dishes down, but all other aspect were lacking.

The hostesses were MIA for almosy 5 minutes anf the manager waljed past us several times without saying a word while we were waiting to check in. The service was poor. Our server Josh needs to be retrained about spacing the food out. Our appetizer was brought out very quickly anf Josh haf a bit of an accident spilling a sauce, which is not a big deal, but he kept doing it throughtout the night without apologizing. It seems he might of been havibg slight withdrawls from something (alcohol or something else) I say this by my wife being an ER Nurse and myself in Law enforcement both for over 15 years, so thibgs like that pop out to me. As i digress, 4 bites into our appetizer the entree came out. That's a big foul in a restaurant like this one. The server told me they had a Raspberry souffle and I asked him if it was chocolate or vanilla, he responds "raspberry" 😒. After repeating the question and recieving the same answer i decided to not waste my time any further. Btw the raspberry souffle was vanilla and had one raspberry on top of it. Haha The server did not offer to pour a refill for the wife's wine once, saw him do it for his other tables just not ours. The saving grace to the night was most of the food and the hostess who came to takr our picture for my wifes birthday was very nice and had a great sense of humor.

We were seated quickly.
Water came out slowly.
Bread came out just before our appetizer.
Jumbo shrimp Alexander was good, crab cake wasn’t.
Caesar salad was good, lobster bisque was terrible. My wife and I both got sick from it during and after dinner.

Steak was no good, tasted bad like no flavor or something. It wasn’t worth the money to be honest. This place sucks.

I would say that the experience was just ok. Service was good, but the gentleman was very robotic. He needed to loosen up a bit. The food was OK, not special and priced too high not to be “special”. I only ate about a third of my $14 salad and my $58 steak was a bit charred which gave the meat a bad flavor. The best food item was the cream corn.

We had a wonderful birthday dinner for our 28 year old son. It started with the Menu being printed with Happy 28th Birthday, January 11, 2018 and confetti that said Happy Birthday on the table. What a special touch! We had our six year old grandson along so he could celebrate with his father too. We ordered the Baked Escargot to start and everyone including the six year old enjoyed it. I ordered the center cut filet Diane and it was delicious. My twenty one year old enjoyed the IPA's and our grandson enjoyed his Shirley Temple. I had a gin Martini and it was excellent. The birthday boy ordered the Prime Ribeye and we are agreed it was the best! Our service was excellent. The grilled asparagus was good and so was the Morton's coffee drink with cinnamon around the glass. I'd did have one small complaint, when we arrived the host requested one of sons to remove his baseball cap but during the dinner we noticed that the gentleman seated next to us was wearing his. So I think in order to be consistent this should be a enforced policy for all patrons not just some.

We were there for a quick pre-theater dinner. Food and service were great. The two servers in the lounge were very courteous and attentive
