Terrible food. The "prime" steak was what seemed like a giant piece of gristle. The au gratin potatoes had so much cheese that any potato was indistinguishable. It looked more like Mac and cheese from a low budget buffet. I'm not even attempting to be comical here. It was actually really sad because I always knew Morton's to serve top quality products. Expensive, yes. But overall value was there. This time, however, it was shocking. I can't get over how tough and terrible a cut the meat was.

We asked to box half of our delicious ribeye steak that we couldn’t finish but we found out when we got home, our server only boxed the side dishes :(

We weren’t seated until 25 minutes after the reservation time. Not sure if the restaurant was overbooked, but service was extremely slow - we ordered drinks as soon as we sat down and didn’t get them until after the 2nd course of the meal was served. Water cups were not refilled and finally had to ask another server to bring water. 20% gratuity added automatically due to size of party but that level of service was not provided. If the issues were outside of the control of the server, the management should have at least offered to comp our drinks.

We just got to dinner. 10 Minutes early. Went to the bar to get a drink while our table was being prepared. Ended up waiting total 20 minutes for a table. My boyfriend and i walked up to the left side of the bar and the service bartender said “ are you guys waiting for a table”. I was like “yeahhh” and he goes “you’re gonna have to wait until you are sat, in order to get a drink”. I was like whaaaaa… he goes yeah we are doing it in waves.I work in the service industry as well and it’s appalling to treat someone with so little respect. I saw three other bartenders behind the bar and wasn’t acknowledged. I understand that it’s thanksgiving. But when I’m spending $400 for a dinner for two i expect to be respected… treat me like you would want to be treated.

The service was UBER rushed. As soon as the salads went down - the server IMMEDIATELY followed up by rushing the main course down without even giving us a chance to finish our salads first. If you are into being in a "cram it, jam atmosphere" for any holiday meal while dining at the San Francisco Morton's Steakhouse, this is the place for you; but for us, we would order from them online and have the food delivered and eat it in an home setting. Morton's SF only cares about a high rate of turnover, as opposed to providing a upscale, professional dining experience. I would advise NOT dining in at the SF Morton's Steakhouse location during the holiday season - unless you enjoy being rushed back out the door as soon as you have been seated.

Two out of three steaks were cooked incorrectly. The two medium steaks came out rare. We sent one back and it came back rare again. The Old Fashioned cocktail tastes like straight simple syrup, terrible. I have been to many steakhouses and other Morton’s locations that are far better than this. In spite of the poor cook and poor mixology, we were charged an automatic surcharge. As if doing business in San Francisco, with poor service to boot, should be a customer responsibility. I won’t be back.

Everything was great, although I would have expected a better-quality bread in such an expensive restaurant. I liked the fact that if you order wine by the glass, you get the amount you chose: either 6oz or 9oz. And the sides are large enough to be shared by two people. Overall, it was a nice experience for a special occasion.

It was very busy, due to the conference that was in town. Compassion from the host stand was terrible towards people who were upset that their reservations were running 30+ minutes behind.

We had a reservation for 7.45. We were seated 8.35. The restaurant was overbooked and they made no apologies for the overbooking. Avoid this restaurant- the experience was despicable

Great food. Our server was distracted and ghosted us several times. Our dinner became a 2+ hour affair. Hoping this was a 1 off experience. The steaks and wedge salad were amazing. Also the scallops.

No doubt that the food is great and delicious and a lovely ambience. My major issue is that I had a note in OpenTable to split the cost of the dinner between our table. I even told the young hostess to make sure this happened when I arrived to check in. I was told this would be no problem. When the waiter brought the check I only saw one bill and asked if it was split. He shrugged and essentially implied no one told him. I was so angry and said I had notes on the OpenTable and told the hostess when I arrived. He was going to revise it then my friends said they would just pay which is not what I wanted. I stopped the hostess and said, I specifically asked you to split the bill so what happened? She said she had it on the tag so not sure why it did not happen and apologized then walked away quickly. This may seem trivial but it really ruins the end of the meal as my friends paid in order to avoid the correction. I won’t be back as I would expect the caliber of service and communication to be better for the price we paid.

After we checked in for our anniversary dinner, The lady sat us next to a waiter station after we asked if it was going to be quiet and/or private and she assured us the waiters would not be congregated at the station and that was the not the case. She sprinkled anniversary decorations on the table and walked away. We moved to another table on our own - no anniversary decorations were relocated to us at the new table that was a nice large booth.

My husband and I went for our anniversary and were not disappointed. The Cajun ribeye and the 8 oz filet mignon (we requested cajun seasoning added to the filet) was DELICIOUS. Also, the lobster ravioli appetizer was divine - would have ordered more if we didn’t have so much food. The guava sidecars was our drink of choice and they were so good. Service was amazing and they made us feel special. We frequent this Morton’s for special occasions and they never disappoint!

Steak was good. The service was poor. The noise level was high and hard to talk a cross the table. The clothing dress code allowed tee shirts and flip flops. The class of service catered to boisterous poorly dressed clients.
