Cajun Ribeye Steak
Short Rib Steak Tacos
The service was poor. A dish I ordered was delivered after I finished my meal.
Manager very disrespectful and my food was raw and refused to fix or deduct from the bill
To start our evening off with the most personable server, how can any part the evening be bad. Jason, our server was intentive and knowledgeable from the 1st course to the last course!
Food was amazing I was very impressed and will definitely go back again
Awesome food and martinis. The filet cut like butter, and Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes were excellent. Good service also.
I’m sure they get it right most of the time, but when they don’t, they surely don’t care. Disappointing.
Steak and service done to perfection. Au gratin potatoes are to die for!
Great service, great food and a enjoyable experience. Will definitely be back. Floyd
Amazing food and great service
Friendly staff, Great food, perfect ambiance for date night, or just a night on the town
It seems that Morton's food is the same but service declined a bit.
Service was great and the food was amazing!
while visiting San Francisco for the holiday weekend, made my reservation and indicated wife and I were celebrating an anniversary. Reserved a window table in the bar area as it was an option. Upon arrival we were told that they do not accept reservations in the bar that it was first come first serve and offered to seat us in the dining room which based on previous experience we did not prefer. Fortunately a table became available in the bar and we were seated. Next surprise is I am informed that they cannot open the special bottle of wine that I have brought with me due to covid, what? (This was mainly an issue as we had planned to spend the day enjoying the city the following morning before returning back home and due to the hot weather that weekendd this bottle of wine was most certainly going to spoil.) Why wasn't this information available on open table or on their website? Fine we order wine off the list and await our meal. We both ordered the filet mignon which not as good as expected nor was it what we had experienced in the past, lack of flavor to say the least and certainly not worth the cost. Normally we have dined here due to it's flavorful steak and its proximity to Union square but it appears we will need to explore other options.
Good dinner tonight! Food and service were very good. I enjoyed their surf and turf special for the holiday weekend.
The food was delicious. The wine list was long and had great options. Top notch service as well. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly.
Our server should not have been waiting tables. He clearly hadn’t in a high end restaurant before. We would have easily stayed for additional cocktails, but the service was so bad and no cocktails were offered. He brought the check, therefore encouraging us to leave rather than enjoying the evening further.
THE SERVER WAS FRIENDLY AND MADE GOOD SUGGESTIONS. THE STEAK AND VEGETABLES WERE DELICIOUS AND THERE WAS A LARGE CHOICE OF VEGETABLE DISHES.
Everything was perfect. It’s Morton’s, one would never expect any less.
Unfortunately, not unlike Ruth's Chris, Morton's seemed more like a chain restaurant than it did a couple of years ago. It was disappointing that they used Covid 19 as an excuse to not allow us to open the special wine we bought, yet the other three restaurants we dined at in San Francisco maintained their corkage policies. The steak and appetizers were good, the sides were fair. It felt like we were rushed in and out - I certainly understand restaurants are trying to make up for lost revenue from 2020 - but it is disappointing when it seems so obvious.
The service was great! Got seated immediately, distance guidelines were met perfectly. The meat was delicious, super tender and juicy. That being said, the sides were mid. We got the fries, au gratin potatoes and lobster Mac and cheese. Fries were great! The potatoes in the gratin were super thick. The pieces of lobster in the Mac were huge, which was awesome but the sauce was gritty. For the price I was kind of underwhelmed. I’m glad I went once, but I don’t think I’d go back.
Always excellent food and service. Best place for steak in SF
Went on out anniversary. They were great!
Excellent Filet cooked perfectly! Very well run with focus on service. Great place with very attentive staff!
Wonderful restaurant with delicious choices from Appetizers to desserts. We celebrated our daughter college graduation and service was impeccable. All the attention to details: round table for easy conversation, wine glasses kept being full and food was done to perfection! Thank you “Morton” for making this special day stress less.
Family dinner. My sons were visiting and we always go out and have a nice dinner together.
All around legit
The food and service was excellent. The cajin rib eye was the best we have had. Highly recommend. The onion brioche bread was awesome! 😋
The food was great! The restaurant was quite dark would have like a little more lighting. Service was good not great because we requested steak a bone didn’t get a bone. But the boneless steak was tasty.
Muy noventoso. Me atendió una nueva persona, si no era su primer día era el segundo, fuera de su susto, el resto bien. Un lugar muy oscuro, asfixiante, nada atractivo.
Great service, friendly staff. The steaks here are the very best. Highly recommend ahead of Ruth Chris, Perry Lang’s, or any of the high end Steak Restaurants. We will return.
Used to be a great restaurant, (Farallon). The waiter was the rudest I have ever encountered. Mother's Day 2021. One of the first outings due to Covid-19. My card declined. The waiter, annoyed rather than assertively and discretely asking for a solution, decided to announce the situation to the entire restaurant. Having lived in San Francisco for over 35 years, I have never experienced such a lack of professionalism and quite frankly, such racism as demonstrated by this waiter. I will never return and anyone that I know, will never dine at Morton's as long as I can still breath. This was a seasoned waiter who clearly knows better and still, chose to try and embarrass me and my guest. The issue turned out to be a random fraud alert check, which always happens at the most inconvenient times. I am done with any Morton's here or elsewhere.
Waitress was rude, food came out late and cold. Did not receive appetizer waitress stated kitchen lost ticket. Alcoholic drinks were strong and delicious. When food came out it was not how I ordered I asked for peppercorn steak did not receive waitress argued with me saying the steak was peppercorn but I eat at Morton’s at least once a week so I’m familiar with how my steak should have been prepared. I had a 2045 reservation I was seated at 2032 so I was pleased with that but upset about the hour and half wait time for the wrong order and did not receive my appetizer.
I felt the ambiance was lacking- dark and dated. There is no kids cut portion for steak so not family friendly unless you share a steak. The steak does taste good. The lobster bisque had one tiny piece of lobster. Overall overpriced, slow service and it felt like the server was trying to get us to eat a lot more than we needed.
The place was nice, the hostess to the server! The food was excellent had a New York strip, bake potato, creamy spinach and meatballs as the appetizer! It was reasonable , if I would have know that the prices were actually 30 and over I would have been financially prepared! It says 30 and under on opentable! I let the hostess know and she said, she would tell her boss!
They do not season their food at all and the waiters get upset like they are the cooks when you express how you feel about the bland food. I would never recommend any friend or family member of mines to eat here ever. Thank you!
Great experience, our waitress was friendly and accommodating. The food is always amazing. Great lunch for Mother’s Day.
Food was okay at best . Drinks were good, service was average. Won’t be at the top of my list for local steakhouses .
It was Mother’s Day Weekend. Our reservations was for 5:45pm Saturday night. Seevice took awhile. Waiter did not come to our table to see if we needed anything. We always had to look for them or ask another waiter. Manager was there chatting with other customers to see how they were doing with their food. Didn’t bother to cone see us as if we were invisible. Our seafood appetizer plate wasn’t as presentable. Crab was already oeeled foe you and seemed frozen. Ceviche or the tartare didn’t taste fresh. My ribeye seemed to be more med rare than med. My son had the canun ribeye and it was too salty. He usually finishes his ribeye but this was not so good. He ate less than half. Sides were soso nothing to shout about.
unfortunately, the hostess was so unpleasant, it set a bad tone for the evening. Food and service were outstanding
