Great food. If multiple people can be expensive but worth it. Won’t be disappointed with the choice
Took my mom to Morton’s SF for Mother’s Day dinner with the family. The food was well prepared, service was outstanding. Everyone was in a great mood! Last but not least, the acoustics were fantastic. It wasn’t loud and irritating; and it was a full restaurant. Loved the dining experience. Can’t wait to go back!
The food was amazing and the server was out of this world. Starting my birthday on the right foot
Fabulous service and quality of food
Felt welcomed right when we walked in. Treated us amazing!! Food was amazing!!!
A bad Mortons Location, Well under the Mortons Benchmark
I’ve noticed a few places throughout SF, bar can’t prepare a bourbon maple? Ur restaurant, Scala’s, Original Joe’s ? Only E and O, and Nopa can produce my drink of choice. It’s easy, bourbon, maple bitters, NOT MAPLE SYRUP and fresh orange segment.
Food and service was good but they sat us next to the kitchen. It was kind of noisy. It was our anniversary. Celebrating it in San Francisco. Restaurant was not full when we cane in. Our reservation was 6:30 and it was a Thursday. I don’t know why she sat us on the corner next to the kitchen. I was disappointed.
Food was great perfectly cooked and presented. We had an amazing server Rashad, who was extremely knowledgeable and kind and friendly who made the entire visit worth it.
Service was slow; waitress was not particularly knowledgeable
Steak was good
Food was incredible. Service was extremely excellent. Our server, Emmy was fantastic. Very attentive. It was our anniversary and could not have had better food and service..
My son proposed to his fiancé last Friday night. They had their first date here and he wanted to surprise her. Hannah helped me get all the details together and even assisted me in finding a photographer to capture the moment. Everything was perfect, they were treated so well and they tell me their food was impeccable including the celebration dessert- lemon soufflé! They were given a commemorative menu imprinted with their names, so sweet. Thank you again, Hannah!!!!
El servicio muy malo, nos toco un mesero bastante complicado.
We always enjoy our visit to this place thanks to the various dining specials they offer. Very professional staff from the hostess to the waiters serving you. The chefs cook your dishes to perfection and they have an extensive wine list.
Chocolate soufflé was terrible and a waste of money.
Food and service was really good.
We’ve been to Morton’s many times. It was my wife’s birthday.
We arrived early. We had a couple cocktails while waiting for our table. We tried to order a couple appetizers on the bar menu, were told 15 min later we couldn’t, we have done this for years.
Manager came by said they’re make exception, 45 min later no appetizers. We left will never go back, bad experience ruined my wife’s birthday to SF. Treated like we were at a low end corporate greedy restaurant. Too bad really, we like the food.
Outstanding. Getting on pricey side but a good package cost. Service was a 10!
My rare steak was blue rare and cold. Steak, wine and asparagus for one was $120.
Overpriced and mediocre.
Our server Tori was excellent. We had to send our steaks back twice to get them cooked right. (They were raw in the middle!). She was very apologetic and wanted to make things right for us. She brought fresh potatoes since we had to wait for the steaks to get cooked more, and ours had gone cold. Tori spoke to the manager and they comped one of our meals and gave us a free dessert. Unfortunately my steak (supposed to be medium) was overcooked on the last go-around, so it was dry. We have had good experiences at Morton's before, so I am sure this was just an off-night (it was not crowded though--Sunday night on the early side). The menu is pricey so I would expect the food to be exceptional--and it was not. We will give it another chance sometime, I'm sure!
I had dinner with my parents and aunt. At sixty, I was the youngest in the group. The lighting was much too dim. I’m sure they felt it lent an intimate ambience to the dining experience, but for us it was just dark. We had to use the flashlights on our cell phones to read the menus. I noticed patrons at another table, also older people, doing the same. The service was very good. The wait staff was prompt and courteous. The food was quite good, except for one thing. My father did not finish the pork chop he ordered because it was very large (a two bone cut). We took the rest home. The next day, I noticed that the meat was undercooked to the point of being close to raw at the center. This was not visible in the dim lighting of the restaurant. So, while we enjoyed the meal overall, I am just relieved my father couldn’t finish his meal and only ate the outer, more thoroughly cooked portion of the meat. This would not keep me from eating at the restaurant again, although it would probably constrain what I might choose from their menu. However, the dim lighting will very likely keep me from returning. A lot of us older folks just don’t see well in the dark.
It was my birthday they made me feel at home when I walked in by telling me happy birthday & menus that said happy birthday to me which I loved and I got a picture that was in a card that told me happy birthday from the staff Also , my server was nice and cater to my every need make sure I had everything made me comfortable and she had good conversation not my first time there enjoy my time every time I go also had the game on in bar a plus like I said I enjoy Mortons every time I go there they are my favorite.
One of my favorite Mortons! Great location and we had an awesome waitress. Food was great as always!
The food, service, and atmposphere were all excellent.
The food and ambiance was great, hopefully our server will have a day off if you go. Unfortunately the server had a bad attitude. He was pushy and rude And even discouraged us from ordering a baked potato saying we ordered enough food. When it came time to leave, we asked for our leftovers to be wrapped but he never brought them to us.
Had a great experience, as I do always, best steakhouse in sf.
Great birthday dinner! Food and service were awesome!
Incredibly expensive but absolutely delicious
Food is good, especially the ribeye, so juicy and tasty, 16oz is a little too big for me, however I finished the whole plate very very full. Bad feeling on requiring to wait at front until all parties are arrived before we getting a table. We have a partit if 4, 2 of us went in, 2 were out for parking the car.
I’ve dined at Morton’s since the days when they brought the cart around to show you examples of the different meat cuts that they offer (as well as a live lobster). There were two in my party during my last visit. We both ordered the 6 oz filet with twice baked au gratin potatoes and steamed asparagus for the table. The filet had a great flavor, yet was barely warm when it arrived. The outside was hard & dry. The potatoes were scalding hot. We got our meal about 10-15 minutes after we ordered, so pretty sure the filet was not freshly grilled. We had chocolate souffle for dessert and it was just so-so. The best part of the meal was the wine. We were in and out in just under an hour, which felt really quick for fine dining. I was very underwhelmed and will look for a different restaurant for my next dining out experience.
Was disappointed as I have been to other Morton’s. The staff and ambiance was great but food was very mediocre, side of asparagus had way to much balsamic on it, Brussels spouts we so so, gratin of potato was very heavy and oily. We all had different cuts of steaks and we all just said meh had better. The Caesar salad was good.
The food was amazing, the service was great, the best steak I’ve ever had, and the drinks were divine
Dinner and a show for my wife’s birthday. We enjoyed our dinner and the service was great.
It was great as usual!
A restaurant with a guaranteed good steak. - in my opinion a liitle bit too expensive. One thing you have to know is the noise of the restaurant
This was great me and my girl went while on vacation for our 5 year anniversary was so cool when we got there the menus said happy 5 year anniversary on it and we got to keep them good was great service was great and only took about hour 20 from start to finish !
Morton’s excels at steaks without a doubt. Our drinks were strong and good. Serving oysters without a small fork is a little strange, and when my wife asked for a lemon slice it came from the bar in a plastic cup with a skew in it. Ok. I was not finished with delightful iceberg wedge when the entrees came which was obviously a timing issue. Medium rare meant more rare on this evening, my wife had to send her filet back for a quick flash, it came back rare. My son and I had the 16oz NY steak both cooked a little more rare than medium rare. They were delicious. Too bad they have those skinny fries instead of the steak fries. The baked potato and creamed spinach were delicious, they say you can share them, the creamed spinach yes, baked potato no. For desserts, skip them they were dreadful. Again a timing issue. The chocolate lava cake had no lava because it was over cooked and sat on the plate like hockey puck, the chocolate soufflé was so overdone there was nothing inside but crust around large ramekin it was served in, they are very expensive, I would avoid them at all costs. They also gave me a complimentary soufflé because it was my birthday, it also was inedible. Funny thing, on the menu they wished me a happy birthday and had the wrong date on it! It was a nice touch but come on, the wrong date?
Wipnderful service and attention to detail. Amazing meal. Thanks for a wonderful birthday celebration!
they rock alway do it right !!
great location great people
