View Private Dining DetailsThe worst steak house I’ve ever eaten at. Steak was literally burned and the sides and salad were horrible and under cooked. Lettuce in salad tasted old and warm.
Everyone treated us like royalty. It was our Anniversary. They took a photo and gave it to us in a frame, made a special dessert, gave a our own copy of the menu with Anniversary on it. It was a wonderful evening. The food was outstanding.
It was horrible. I ordered my steak medium well but it came out well done and charred. Sent it back and I decided to order my steak medium instead. Got it back medium well and still charred. Bill had to get corrected but instead, server charged another steak. Good thing I checked it. If not, I would’ve paid for two steaks that I didn’t eat let alone one steak that I enjoyed. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN. I much prefer Ruth’s Chris, TBH.
We had our son’s birthday dinner, it was awesome.
A consistently good steak house. Waiter tried hard to please but hovered around us too much . Steak ordered med rare was more medium. Sides , bread, and desert soufflé were great. Room is lovely and drinks excellent.
Birthday Celebration
Service was excellent, great attention to our needs.
Wonderful and delicious!!!! Our waiter was outstanding
As noted above, all was very satisfactory and Robert, our waiter, took especially good care of us including the complementary birthday dessert and recommendations for ordering.
Great birthday dinner. Cajun Ribeye very favorable. Only place to get a real soufflé in downtown San Diego. Delicious! Staff is attentive and go above and beyond. Menus had a personalized happy birthday message.
It was fabulous! We were there for my bday. The server was fantastic! Food was ridiculous and the wine suggestions were perfect!
Excellent service. Tip: Don't order the Morton Salad. Everything else we had tasted great.
The service was exceptional.
Our waiter and his support personnel were very attentive and genuine in their service..
Made us feel very glad we chose Morton's for this occasion.
Nice but loud and slow.
My girlfriends steak was not prepared to her liking and our server was horrific!
very good meal. Only downside was inconsistency in the steaks. Majority were over cooked
This was our first visit to this particular Morton's. The food was outstanding as was the service. The prices are very high so this is a restaurant for special occasions or business dinners. The dining room is elegant if a bit dark. It is not large and the tables are pretty close together but we were there on a quiet evening and it was fine.
Service was wonderful and the food delicious and portions just right.
Restaurant is very dimly lit. You need your cellphone light to read the menu. Noise so loud I could not have a conversation with my husband most of the time.
Server Robert Laffoon was outstanding. He really helped us sort out the menu.
Always meets every expectation!
Reservation was made for 8:00 PM, checked in with hostess and was told that someone would seat us. We waited at least 10 more minutes until someone came to seat us.
Very friendly people. Got our pick of tables.
Very good!!
Service was slow and distracted. Steak not prepared to order. With so many other steakhouse options near by, don’t waste your money here.
Excellent. Wonderful Service
As usual the food was awesome. The steaks, salad and seafood were all great. The staff is phenomenal. It seemed that all of the regular staff we know were there and EVERYBODY made it a point to stop by and say hello and talk with us. Its great to feel like you are part of the restaurant!
Great service. Great space. Little disappointed when I went for the Wagu beef over the regular filet. Usually know wagu to be a better meat but it’s was tougher than my wife’s filet.
Even though my steak was overcooked, they replaced with new steak that was perpare nicely
The food was amazing, and our server, Nathan, was wonderfully attentive. We had a wonderful birthday celebration.
We felt rushed when we first got there. Servers were speaking extremely fast and we had to have them repeat themselves a lot. They came almost immediately to take our drink orders and when we said we weren't ready yet and started with water, they then took almost 15 minutes to come back around. Both were very nice, the food was fantastic, and as the meal went on they weren't quite so rushed. However, that first 20 minutes in the restaurant was not the usual Morton's experience we've encountered in the past. The lemon soufflé was amazing!
Overall, the experience was somewhat underwhelming. Likely won’t go back.
Valentine’s Day Morton’s was very nice.
They did a nice job.
Every table was in use.
It’s pretty loud inside for a fine dining experience. Our potatoes were really bland. I expected the steak to taste like a$50 steak instead of something I could have made at home. I’m personally underwhelmed and will see myself doing Donovan’s or Ruth Chris over Morton’s.
Great only if you can afford it. This was Valentine's day so worth every dollar
We, celebrated our 25th. Anniv. Food, service and ambience were fantastic.
Out of town on business and decide to have dinner on Valentine’s Day
Our server was amazing in her thorough knowledge of all foods and their preparation and ingredients. Her familiarity with special items like the 10oz New York, which I ordered was to her credit. Only the baked potato, which I and a guest shared seemed to be a bit dry.
Food here is always excellent one of our favorite steak places to eat. Our server Barry is quite tenacious and tentative. He made our dinner more vivacious.
I went with a couple of friends for a birthday celebration. Unfortunately, the service was poor. We had to remind the waiter we were supposed to get bread at the table, twice we had to remind him we ordered Pellegrino water, and the manager had to clear the appetizer plates from the table because they sat there so long. It's not like they were super busy, either.
The consensus was the food was decent, but not great. For the price, we expected better. My escargot appetizer was only fair; I've had better, I've had worse. The 6 oz filet was cooked just as requested. The bacon-wrapped scallops were delicious. Gordon Ramsay would say they were overcooked, but I like them that way. The birthday boy received very tasty dessert. Since we didn't order it, we were surprised it showed up on the bill.
Overall, the experience was nice, but could have used better service.
The food was delicious! But food took a while to get to the table. Service was good but not supreme like at the grove but the food was amazing!
