The service could not have been worse. Our waiter had two tables. It was towards the end of the night. We saw him twice the first 45 minutes.
Food was great.
Our server that day didn't bother encountering with us me and wife waited about 8 minutes just to get ice tea refills. The steaks were good but our lyonaise potatoes were not what he described I can easily tell they were not cut up bake potatoes just simply fried potatoes with sauteed onions with bacon fat. Being a high end steakhouse you automatically get bread service. Well I had to ask for my bread. I'm sorry but ive gotten better service at texas roadhouse. I use to be sous chef at perrys so i know what to expect in service and food quality from a steakhouse and im sorry but the service was poorly executed i hardly saw any managers on the dining room totally not worth it if the service is poor coming from a culinary background I can understand that holidays can be rough and tiring but at the end of the day we choose to be in those positions
Service was slow. We have had better service at the Morton’s in Honolulu. There were no Birthday decorations on the table.
Our food was very good. Our service was prompt, friendly, and very attentive even on valentines day when the restaurant was obviously very busy.
Our waiter was great- but our food was underwhelming. I have been to Morton’s a few times and this was the lowest quality of food. The Caesar salad was one of the worst I have ever eaten- and the dessert was not cooked correctly.
Poor service - no acknowledgement of special occasion. Had to be reminded we were waiting for our reservations. Will not return.
Very disappointed.
Overall a very good experience, only a couple of blips kept it from being 5-star for us. The bread, though tasty, was burnt. The Caesar salad was just ok. At these prices we expect near perfection. On the other hand the two appetizers, shrimp bisque and escargot, were delicious. As was the entree my wife and I enjoyed, filet mignon and lobster tail. My wife particularly enjoyed the lobster. And our waiter, Stephen (?), was delightful. He was very efficient, accommodating and friendly.
Celebrated our 18th anniversary. 19 years ago, the night we got engaged, we ate at the Morton’s in Houston. A great evening.
Excellent well know steakhouse. We ate there during Culinaria, which was a real bargain. Morton's also has a happy hour with good values at their bar and nearby tables. The steaks were perfect and sides were generous. Their wines are somewhat pricier than many places with few wines under $60 and most in 3 figures. This represented a 3-4X markup over retail, which is too much. Service was very good. Just noisy enough to be "vibrant" rather than too loud to talk easily.
Even though we went for discounted Restaurant week seemed a little pricey as most good restaurants are these days. The wait staff was excellent as well as the food. Just be prepared for a bill that adds up quick.
Great value for restaurant week. The food was very nice quality, service was spot on, and can't beat 3 courses for $35/person. The bottle of wine was the same cost as the food. $6 valet made parking super simple.
Had an early dinner celebrating a wedding anniversary and the service was great. The food was well prepared and delicious. I will be going back to try different items on The menu. It’s nice to see managers coming to your table and asking if everything was alright and offering to help with something if needed.
Waiter was so kind and personable. Sat us next to a couple large groups so the noise level was beyond my liking. Food was great
Everything was very good. My only negative comment is that we were a bit rushed. Second and third courses arrived before we finished eating the course we were on. The entrees were dropped before the waiter returned to order our wine.
Love Morton’s! One of our favorites. The food service and atmosphere is always top notch
Excellent service. Our drink order was promptly delivered.
We informed the staff that we wanted an unused dining experience. They service our courses of meal right at our tempo. Great.
Once you dine there you will understand why they capitolize the The in Morton's The Steakhouse. The steaks are tender, the service is on point and the atmosphere isn't intimidating. All the right touches.
Table wasn’t ready when we arrived and had to wait for a few minutes. Enjoyed their Restaurant Week menu. Found an awesome value wine on their special menu ($99 instead of $150).
It was great
The Chilled Sampler for appetizer was truly a sampler and we didn't feel like $29 per person for 1 shrimp, a sliver of King Crab, and a quarter size piece of Lobster and Crab was worth the price. However the Veal and Ribeye with Bone Marrow was good. Sides are sharable-- we got the brussels sprouts and baked potato. The service was amazing. Our favorite part was the dessert: Chocolate Souffle. Definitely will reserve for special occasions since for 2 people it came out to about $280. Note--Definitely use the Valet! It is only $6. We parked across the street --it is $20
Very professional overall. Order needed adjustment , and another server was able to get the change made; I accidentally left my credit card behind at the table , and there hostess ran out in the street to catch me—saved me a bunch of worry/hassle!
Food was good. Filets were well flavored but a bit grissly. The onion soup was a bit salty. Bread was not good at all. The hot chocolate cake was the highlight ! (One of the best desserts I’ve ever had)
New staff not very friendly, our waiter didn't offer any specials , no wine Stuart available.. it was my birthday and offer of any kind was offered until I asked... it's a great place just disappointed... it was worest my last visit!!!
Morton's has been a reliable restaurant for the family for a couple of years now. This was the first time we received subpar service. I normally enjoy to to three glasses of wine with my meal, but were not checked on once our meal was served despite an empty wine glass for the last half of my meal. I will chalk this up as one bad experience and hope this isn't a trend.
I've come to expect much more from Morton's.
No more free valet. Oh well.
Hostess typical youngster with little poise or class. Didn't offer to take my hat. Yes, I know old school, but who is Mortons' audience?
Waiter, OMG. Totally incompetent and distracted by larger party. Typical millennial response of "no problem" just puts me off. Asked about a glass of wine with dinner "Do I *need* to bring the wine list?". IDK, figure it out...
Steak ubdercooked, even for medium rare. No big.
Taters cold, and the mgr actually challenged me on that, citing his close eye on the line. Really? How bout you stick you thumb in them.
It will be a long time before we give Morton's another go.
BTW, was supposed to be anniversary celebration. Good thing I had a great date.
We were treated exceptionally well during our dinner celebrating my fiance's birthday. I truly appreciated the care and consideration we received while we dined with them. This is a perfect spot for a romantic celebration.
We ordered a Probecca (Nebbiolo) for $70 or $71 on the menu. Waiter came back and I pointed the wine to him. Host or another waiter came out and brought out another bottle a Barolo. I was not paying the attention as I should have and did not notice it was not the bottle I had requested. Later found out when reviewing the bill that they had brought me a $230 bottle, which I had not requested. Did not make any protest since I blamed myself for not being as attentive as I am normally, but when we asked for the Nebbiolo at $70 dollars twice and we were brought a $230 Barolo-It seemed a little strange that this had occurred. I frequent Morton's at least once or twice a year over the past 10 to 15 years.
We eat at a lot of top restaurants and considered this one. That is before the last visit which was about 3 years ago. We were celebrating a special occasion and started off with the $26.95 chilled seafood plate. What a waste of money. This was overpriced by 2. Then we ordered a 10oz filet mignon along with food grab, and bone marrow. All three are the worst quality I've ever had. The fois gras was flat and dried up. The filet was the lowest quality of meat you can get. I've had choice beef that was much better. And the bone marrow what a joke. They give you a bone with marrow, and no seasoning. Horrible experience! Will never dine at another Morton restaurant again. Period
This was an anniversary dinner and a first time visit to Mortons and apparently a bad night for them. Almost 2 hours for food delivery and a manager lost it and cried at our table. It was definitely an experience but I don't think we will be back.
It was great!!
onion soup was the best. scalloped potatoes, very poor quality. corn was the very best. ribeye was great. veal chop was great. lobster mac and cheese ok until we tried to warm it up next day, then it tasted like bad fish. bread was very good. bread pudding was very low quality, dry with no flavor. drinks were great. i had one, my wife had one. check was 255.20 very expensive very. i called asst manger the next day and spoke to him about all of the above. he said he couldnot do any think about any of this problem i had with the food. i said any thing you can do for me would work for me. he said when i return he would make a note and make sure everything was good. isaid i will never be back to mortons.. asst mgr name was rodger. he has no stroke. i tipped 46.80 bad night in san antonio

Fin de año
We came to eat here for New Years. We were running about 5 minutes late for a 9:30 reservation due to downtown S.A. traffic being unbelievable. I tried to call and change it to a later time and the young lady that answered was not as nice as I would have expected for "Morton's" frontline. Upon arriving 6 minutes late the 2 ladies at the "Welcome" desk were a solid 2-3 on a scale of smiles and welcoming. We were of course dressed nicely for our evening dinner so not sure how we didn't at least warrant a "Hello and Welcome to Morton's" salutation. Nevertheless we didn't let the 2 encounters both phone call and welcoming crew deter us from having a great dinner and rest of the evening. A smile goes a long way and costs NOTHING. I'm a Landry's Select member and have been for just about 6 years now and was skipped asking if I was a member, no big deal and gosh darn it I had my card on me, I'll take half the blame for that one. I can inquire about my points with my receipt just extra work for me. My dining experience was really good and my server Alex L. was very attentive. The 12 and 6 oz. Filet my date and I ordered were cooked just the way we wanted. I'd rate my experience as a good 7-8 overal with a perfect 10 falling from the phone call and registration desk up front. I remember a younger lady and who appeared to be a manager with longer blonde hair, these 2 were upfront at 9:36 p.m. Dec 31st at the downtown Rivercenter location if this helps. Would have loved giving y'all a 10!!!
Roger and Jodi in management are superb. A real New Year’s Eve treat!
New Year’s Eve!
New Years Eve celebrations!
Very disappointed. Paid $400 for 4 people. Meal was probably worth less than half this price. Would not recommend. Felt completely ripped off.
Good for a special occasion. Very pricey but worth it
I had the filet, Oscar style, with lobster. The steak was good, perfectly cooked, lobster was a bit fishy. Our server was very good. Price was what it should have been. Altogether a good, but not great dining experience.
