I love Morton’s and eat at a Morton’s when ever I can.
This one was not in the usual top league I normally expect.
My table was cold and drafty with a busy corridor behind me.

Steak was good, but not as hot as I expect, a bit raw and only average.
Service was ok, but not as good as all the other Morton’s I have eaten at.
I have another reservation for this Friday that I may cancel.
I expect only the best at Morton’s

Yikes. I can't believe I am about to give Morton's, the flagship American Steakhouse a mediocre review. But.... I am.

Freely admit I have very high expectations for a trip to Morton's. I know going in that I am about to pay a handsome sum for a single meal but I do so excited as Morton's should deliver at every level. But alas...

First, the service. Our server was very cordial and friendly. She simply lacked the level of professionalism I expect from a meal of this expense. The apps came out and we had to request sharing plates. Then we had to wait for drinks to arrive. Timing throughout the meal was clunky at best.

Apps and salad were beautiful but my wedge had no salt and the heirloom tomatoes were out of season and too bland to be served. We had crabcakes that were wonderful. Nothing but good things to say there. The ahi tuna was a fun recipe but a cheap cut of ahi. It lacked the deep rich taste of good ahi and the kitchen was heavy handed with the sesame oil.

Skipping to the side, the creamed spinach was good, not special but just fine.

Now the steak: wow... just Wow. As always, Morton's delivered a wonderful steak cooked perfectly to order. The problem is that I expect Morton's to have a heavenly steak ( As they did ).

Cap all of that with a messy bathroom that had towels across the floor and we simply had a mediocre meal to the tune of 400 big ones. Did they do anything specifically wrong or egregious, no. Was our server friendly, welcoming, and did our food arrive as requested, yes. I can get all of that at the "Roadhouse" place.

This is Morton's of Chicago. It should be a lock, a bullet proof choice for a memorable fine dining experience. Management at this location is simply not training staff well enough nor monitoring the quality of ingredients closely enough to justify the price nor the reputation. Not my first trip to Morton's and may not be my last, but I will not be returning to this location. Sorry Sacramento, this was a fail.

Menu selection for the food was great, food was decent, service was horrible. Felt like the waiter could care less if we were there or not and certainly was also how we were treated. Reservation was a at 5pm so it was not even busy. Drinks took a while to get, the steak was under cooked, ordered simple deserts and after waiting a long time decided to cancel them through another waiter cause ours was no where to be found. The manager was kind to bring it out to us in a bag so we could take it home. Never even saw our waiter after we ordered our desert. Too bad. Although we may not be a big eaters in food for a big food bill, I am a big tipper and even more so if the service is good and treated kindly and as if we exist as customers there.

My name is Brittany, I had such an amazing experience! I celebrated my 30th bday, and as a first timer it couldn’t have been any better! Our waiter was so amazing. He made sure we were well taken care of. I will definitely be coming back.

Over priced! It’s a lot of places in Sacramento to get great seafood and steak with the same quality and level of service. I can spend $200 at Morton’s or $80 at Station 16.

We go to Mortons to celebrate special life events. Our latest was to celebrate my wifes 50th. Every time we do this they always personalize our visit. The attention to both personal and dining detail makes our experience amazing.

My husband and I ordered the crabcake and lobster bisque to start our meal which were outstanding! We were a little surprised though when only one crabcake showed up on the plate. I had the Wagyu “gold Manhattan” steak and my husband had a ribeye. They were cooked perfectly and extremely tender. Our sides were the Mexican street corn and sour cream mashed potatoes which were very good also. I had ordered the golden pineapple martini which was very flavorful but when it came time to order dessert nothing really stood out to us so we went ahead and skipped it. Overall very pleased with our meal and Randy, our server, was absolutely fantastic and very knowledgeable about the entire menu!

1st timers and everything was elegant! Server was pleasant and the food was amazing. Everything was perfect until the food came and the runner gave our food opposite from how we ordered. Half way thru our steaks we realized we were eating each other’s food. We switched but didn’t expect that! Morton’s gave a dessert on the house to make up for it! Overall, good experience. Might return at later date to try again! The bacon wrapped scallops are to die for!!

We ( 2 couples) went on Thursday before Valentines Day. Had a great dinner. But, the best part was our server Jesus (Adrienne).
Great service, attentive but not pushy or hovering. He made great suggestions and corrected the minor details that were not on point.
Very apparent that he enjoyed his job. Made for a pleasurable experience.
We will ask for Jesus on our next visit.

Overall a very poor experience. Took a very long time for wait staff to arrive, placed wine order that took a good 15 minutes to show up and then it was the wrong bottle. Had to constantly flag people down to order additional bottles.

Ordered Lobster Bisque as starter, it never arrived. Prime NY strips were supposed to be medium and arrived rare, again had to waive someone down to get attention. Having worked for a beef producer, I know what to expect with Prime and this was borderline, they should have a discussion with their supplier on the overall quality. I would rate this as no more than an upper 1/3 of choice cut and wayyyy over priced.

Go Elsewhere, there are much better choices available. Morton's has slipped, I will go elsewhere in the future.

Food excellent. Service not up to par for price level. Server didn't know menu well and was unable to answer questions. Offered to check on some things but never came back with answers. Didn't inform us of the need to order a souffle when ordering our meal, luckily we knew this ourselves and knew we wanted one so we brought it up ourselves. Overheard this being brought up by other servers during the ordering process at other tables. Timing was still off on dessert. 25 minute wait from our plates being cleared to receiving it. Also didn't receive the drink I ordered to go with dessert when the table was cleared of dinner plates until after we had finished eating dessert. Pretty sure the server forgot to put in both the dessert and the drink. During this 25 minutes she didn't follow up with us at all, didn't see her, had to ask someone else to go find her and then she emerged from the kitchen with our dessert. We had 1:45 time window to eat before we had to leave for a show, which should be plenty of time, but due to all this we still ended up running out the door, having to catch a car instead of walk, and run to our seats to not miss the show we attended afterwards. Not the type of service I would expect when paying 100+ pp for food and drink. Have been here a few times before and never had issues with service like this.

This is an wonderful place for a special dinner. Everyone on the staff displayed an attitude that made us feel welcome and displayed a very professional attitude. The food was prepared exactly as we ordered and the taste was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special place for dinner.

We had another outstanding visit to this restaurant. We were with friends and all four of us enjoyed the experience. Our server, Josh, did a great job. We also heard a familiar voice and it turned out to be a waiter we met maybe 25 years ago and followed him to various restaurants. We lost touch but now know where he is working so we can come back and see him (Randy) or Josh!

Food was great, steak was a little charred but still good.
Designer Sunglasses were stolen from cupholder in my car when I called the manager the next day, i was just passed onto the manager of the valet company. When coming to a nice steakhouse I didn’t think I needed to worry about someone taking items from my car. Disappointed.

Celebrated our year Anniversary here at Morton’s, they made is so special, the food was delicious and drinks were strong. I was hoping to have a sommelier because our server seemed a bit green. When I asked for a recommendation based on my tastes he just listed off what felt like a memorized list of pairings, but he was so sweet and very attentive. The food presentation is gorgeous and their crab cakes are to die for! Overall value, you are paying for the ambiance and overall feel of a”fancy restaurant” as well as yummy food. Totally worth it to us! We will be back.

It was my husbands first time at Morton’s so I was excited to share the experience with him. We were seating promptly in a booth, which was great. It was very clean including the floor which is always nice. The lighting was a bit to low, but that is just my personal opinion. We ordered the cold seafood selection, salad, steak and asparagus. It came really quick, which o was hoping it would take a bit longer so I could enjoy my wine, but Again that’s my personal preference.
I felt the cold seafood wasn’t a good value for the price. It came with 1 oyster, a little bit of crab and lobster. I thought there would just be more and wished I had ordered something substantial or had that as an appetizer.
My husbands steak was divine! Perfectly cooked and delicious.
Our waiter brought over some chocolate mousse for dessert which was unexpected and delightful.
I opted to sign up for the Landry’s card as I am a frequent visitor to their restaurants and never took the time to sign up. There was some confusion on when the $25 credit would be applied, which was unfortunate, but just a lesson for our waiter to learn for the future.
Overall everything was great and we will return, especially for the steaks!

I’ve grown up going to Morton’s Steakhouses and this was the worst experience I’ve ever had. My martini was watery. The food was mediocre: our ahi tuna starter was frozen in the middle, our steaks and vegetables were room temperature when they got to our table. The presentation was disappointing on top of it. I also ordered the Inglenook Cabernet and didn’t realize there were two on their extensive, somewhat confusing wine menu. The manager brought the wine, never clarified about which one I wanted and proceeded to pour. When we got the bill, I realized I had been charged for a $175 bottle, when I had ordered a $75 bottle. When I disputed the charge, the manager eventually came over, and rudely informed me that he credited me and told me “next time, double check the bottle” and proceeded to inform me that I “got a good deal”. Very disappointed with this Morton’s. Spent $400 and totally not worth it.
