Morton's The Steakhouse - Sacramento Ratings and Reviews
When ever we want to have a special dinner we always choose Morton’s. They know how to treat their customers and they always make your feel welcome. Delaney, Asst manager was very accommodating and gives above and beyond service. And the food was exceptional as always.
Decided to take my mother here for our birthday. We do something special each year. Perhaps set my expectations too high from the experiences of other patrons.....but have had better engagement and exceptional food at other Sacramento/Folsom steakhouses at a lower capital investment. When I'm looking for a great steak I'll head to Sutter Street in Folsom.
We had an okay experience. However being Morton’s I would have expected more. The servers were not the best. We could barely under stand our person he spoke to fast. Our salads the leaves were huge and we were not provided knives. We had to wait until we could flag someone as they were not attending our table properly. They spilled my clients coffee while serving and did not attempt to clean it my client had to. The steaks were good however the chocolate soufflé we waited 25 min for was not worth the wait. It was basically mush when served. We took our clients there to impress and instead we left with okay experience with a hefty bill.
Fantastic meal as usual, we visit Mortons Steakhouse twice a year which seems to be the right amount. The special was the steak and lobster for $55 and we both ordered the special. Everything was cooked to perfection and the sides were delicious!!! Great place to celebrate a special occasion.
The food was fantastic....so many choices on the menu and not just steaks! The service was incredible. I ordered the soufflé for dessert and because there was a problem with the first one, they brought me a piece of the key lime pie and chocolate cake. Which both of them were delicious but the soufflé was worth waiting for. The chocolate cake was huge and so moist.
It was an all around great meal with the friendliest of staff....looking forward to our next visit.
Everything was exactly as we wanted. When we told our server that we wanted to take our time between courses, they left us alone, long enough but not too long. My only criticism--if it is one--is that the entrees were too big. For instance, my salad entrée could have been a main course by itself. Everything was wonderful--the service, the food, the wine (oh, the wine!). I'll remember my time there always.
For our 5th Anniversary the whole experience and attention we received from the first step inside to our last as we left was fantastic. Our server Jose and his trainer (name forgotten) were impeccable and made the evening fun. Thank you, see you again soon!
My party of 4 thoroughly enjoyed the evening spent at Morton's. It was delightful. Had been released from a lengthy hospitalization for major heart surgery and was very happy to be sharing time with my wife and neighbors. The waiter, Johnny, was excellent and the myriad of other waiters and waitresses fawned over us like royalty. I think I smiled the entire time I was there. The only downside to the wonderful night was the fact my wife ordered her bone-in NY steak medium rare and it was served between medium-well and well. She only ate a few bites. She was very disappointed in that fact but still, in totality, she had a very good evening.
It was a dining experience. Service took 2.5 hours. While we are not the type to complain nor to write a yelp review, nor complain to managennt, we did experience a wrong order. The order was sent back and re delivered 15 minutes later with no thought to compensation. Our waiter was training someone else and some how wrote the order wrong. We are frequent guests at Ruth Chris and due to our experience will probably return there due to value and service.
It use to have a old steakhouse feel when they would roll out a cart with your steaks you could choose from. I miss that. I have a gluten allergy and made that clear when ordering. They must NOT have either made it clear to the kitchen or not bothered to say anything because after dinner I became very sick. So much for a happy anniversary.
Very enjoyable evening of casual dining. Brandon did a great job of slow processing (as requested by us) for a leisure and enjoyable dining experience. We enjoyed his humor with little attention until we needed it. The food, as expected from Morton's, quite good.
Let me begin with service was good in that all servers were attentive. Took a good 2o minutes to get bread & butter because the kitchen did not have any ready. Dinner service when the kitchen isn't prepped for dinner, I just do not understand. Ordered the dry aged strip. Good flavor but not worth the $79.00 price tag. I've had better at much better prices. Creamed spinach side was good, scalloped potatoes went back to the kitchen. I ate at the Morton's in Arlington, Virginia in June of this year and the potatoes were so good you did not want to stop eating them. All in all, I would not recommend the Sacramento Morton's. Past years an absolute yes; now — an absolute no.
I am something of a regular at Morton's in Sacramento for good reason: I know exactly what I will get, and that is excellence. My experience with this restaurant is that I get an excellent ambience, food, and service every time. I highly, highly recommend this restaurant for those who love steaks and potatoes and fine wines. The bar is great too.
We are big Morton's fans and eat at them regularly. This was our first trip to Sacramento location. The ambiance was nice. The server was terrific. The drinks were great. The meal was sub par. The center cut filet was great. Perfectly cooked. We had the two lobster tail special and they were soggy and one was a bit fishy. the creamed spinach was served cold. Not what I have come to expect at Morton's. I hope this was just a bad night at Morton's Sacramento.
