Morton's The Steakhouse - Rosemont Ratings and Reviews
We had a great experience at Morton’s for my Birthday. My filet mignon was delicious and I believe everyone else enjoyed their food as well. They took and gave us our group photo and gave me a special dessert. Expect to pay good money for your food and drinks. I will definitely be back for another filet.
Food and service are good, ambience is not. Restaurant is in a dark, office building basement and outdated. If you need an elevator, you have to check in and then walk outside down the block, get someone to open the locked office building door, and walk thru dingy office hallways lined with random chairs. On the way out there are no directional exit signs and we ended up in two different banquet rooms trying to find our way out. Once we got mostly out, we hit another locked door and had to go back and find someone to let us out. There are also big TVs in the dining room. Not what I want during a nice dinner. This location just isn't premium.
We went to Morton's for a birthday dinner and the staff could not have made us feel more special! The host, and all staff shared birthday wishes, they printed a custom birthday menu, and took a birthday photo, that they printed and provided complete with a Morton's photo sleeve! They also offered a free dessert, which we took them up on and it was wonderful!
The staff was helpful and attentive - but not bothersome, and knowledgeable about the food and wine menus. A great experience for a special night out!
We went there for New Years and it was a great New Years place. The food was really good and our server was great. A little slow on main entree getting served . A few of us split and the portions where great for that. The filet was tender and the cauliflower mash was amazing! It is pricey but great for special events .
My family and I went here for Christmas dinner. Everything was delicious per usual. The steak tacos were tasty, bone in ribeye juicy and flavorful, spinach and potatoes excellent. My family got the sea bass, porterhouse and seafood platter, all were amazing!! Service was superior!
Morton's in Rosemont really delivers. The service from start to finish was exceptional. Every member of the staff made us feel as if we were the only customers in the restaurant. As we were taken through the menu our waitress, Martina did an excellent job of describing some particulars new to the menu as well as providing some recommendations. The pace of the meal was perfect, neither rushed or lagging. The food was superb. Steaks and seafood cooked to perfections. The scallop appetizer was delicious.
Great wine list with several selections that you just don't see in other establishments.
The ambiance was great. The décor beautiful and the food was as good as any I have had. The personnel at this establishment are fantastic from the greeters to the wait staff. All have a great demeanor and really try to make the customer feel important. A great dining experience.
The food was decent and service was great but I think it’s primary competition, Gibsons, is a better experience across the board. It just didn’t feel like a $250 meal in my opinion. I’ve had similar quality food for 25-50% less. The place was almost completely dead on a Saturday night at 7:00 pm which didn’t make for much of an atmosphere either.
This restaurant has a great reputation and I have visited other locations. My husband enjoyed his 6oz steak, but everything else we had was tasteless. Starting with the bread served, it made me think they needed a new baker. I had cold seafood appetizer for my main meal and a Caesar salad, which was honestly the most tasteless salad in any restaurant I have been too. The seafood lacked good flavor. My husband’s seafood and lobster bisque were not up to par for a great restaurant. We had chocolate soufflé which was not chocolates in flavor.
The service was excellent and the staff very attentive.
I will not be returning.
My first steak was overcooked and burnt on the outside. My second steak was cooked properly, medium rare, but had no salt or flavor. I didn't say anything about the second one b/c I could tell they didn't think the first steak was as burnt as I thought it was. My wife and I would taste the burnt flavor in every bite.
The wedge salad is always amazing, especially for something so simple. Cocktail was done right.
Usually Morton's is terrific, but didn't feel it on this visit.
Probably going to a different Morton's next time.
We ordered the wrapped scallops and bacon steak apps. Both were great. My wife was not very hungry. She ordered the beet / goat cheese salad and really liked it. I ordered the bone in ribeye. The steak was very good and cooked perfectly. We also ordered the mashed cauliflower and truffle fries sides. Both tasted soooo good. Also, I had two drinks with dinner. The salzman (If i remember the name correctly?) It is a burbon drink and i thought it was good. Second was an old fashioned. I really like a good old fashioned and im sad to say I thought theirs was terrible. Our waiter was very polite and attentive. Overall experience- If you haven't been there it's worth a try but personally I feel like you can get food that is as good at other restaurants at a better price point. With Morton's or Gibson's you are paying for the name.
Celebrating birthday with the girls. When restaurant called to reconfirm reservations they asked for birthday girl’s first name. Her name was printed on our menus - How nice! But there was more - Manager took our picture and presented each of us with a copy. The food and service were excellent (as always).
The food was just OK. The wine was good. The house red blend was $68 for the bottle. A fair value.
$330 with tip for two people for a business dinner is kinda crazy. I (like most others) make equally good steaks at home. Could go to many many other places for really tasty food at half the price in the future.
The service was excellent.
Mortons, Chicago Chop House, Maestro, Kinzie Chop House, Gibsons... I put all of them in the same catagory. I've had really good streaks at Keefer's and ....believe it or not ....HARRY CARAY's!
