Morton's The Steakhouse - Rosemont Ratings and Reviews
My first steak was overcooked and burnt on the outside. My second steak was cooked properly, medium rare, but had no salt or flavor. I didn't say anything about the second one b/c I could tell they didn't think the first steak was as burnt as I thought it was. My wife and I would taste the burnt flavor in every bite.
The wedge salad is always amazing, especially for something so simple. Cocktail was done right.
Usually Morton's is terrific, but didn't feel it on this visit.
Probably going to a different Morton's next time.
We ordered the wrapped scallops and bacon steak apps. Both were great. My wife was not very hungry. She ordered the beet / goat cheese salad and really liked it. I ordered the bone in ribeye. The steak was very good and cooked perfectly. We also ordered the mashed cauliflower and truffle fries sides. Both tasted soooo good. Also, I had two drinks with dinner. The salzman (If i remember the name correctly?) It is a burbon drink and i thought it was good. Second was an old fashioned. I really like a good old fashioned and im sad to say I thought theirs was terrible. Our waiter was very polite and attentive. Overall experience- If you haven't been there it's worth a try but personally I feel like you can get food that is as good at other restaurants at a better price point. With Morton's or Gibson's you are paying for the name.
Celebrating birthday with the girls. When restaurant called to reconfirm reservations they asked for birthday girl’s first name. Her name was printed on our menus - How nice! But there was more - Manager took our picture and presented each of us with a copy. The food and service were excellent (as always).
The food was just OK. The wine was good. The house red blend was $68 for the bottle. A fair value.
$330 with tip for two people for a business dinner is kinda crazy. I (like most others) make equally good steaks at home. Could go to many many other places for really tasty food at half the price in the future.
The service was excellent.
Mortons, Chicago Chop House, Maestro, Kinzie Chop House, Gibsons... I put all of them in the same catagory. I've had really good streaks at Keefer's and ....believe it or not ....HARRY CARAY's!
Food was delicious and service was great! I had the Filet Oscar style, and my husband had the Cajun Ribeye - both were cooked to perfection and mouthwatering delicious. Our daughter ate every last bite of the Shrimp Alexander, and no visit to Morton's is ever complete without the molten chocolate cake! It is amazing and not to be missed! This is hands down my favorite steak place. Nothing else quite compares! We have been celebrating special occasions here for years and will continue to come back time and time again. Thank you Morton's!!
The appetizer of sea scallops wrapped in bacon just melted in your mouth.
The bone in rib eye steak was tender, juicy and cooked to perfection.
My friends had the Mixed with filet, shrimp, and sea scallops wrapped in bacon all were so tasty that there were no sharing from him. We shared the grilled balsamic vinger asparagus.
For dessert we had carrot cake and key lime pie was yummmy. All I can add is doggie bag please!
I love Morton's, we did wait longer than usual for our server, but he was great afterward. I ordered a Cosmopolitan and received a "classic" cosmo that was not to my liking. The server did take it back and provided the "correct" cocktail and adjusted our bill accordingly. The food is always phenomenal. We ordered the Carrot Cake dessert to share and OMG it was incredible. My Husband swears it is the best dessert he has ever eaten. We love Morton's.
An amazing experience. Probably my favorite steakhouse now. Personal touches and experiences make you feel like a longtime customer (such as a free picture and lemon souffle for my birthday!)
Already looking for an excuse to go back.
Cocktails were excellent.
Whiskey flight was good
Steak was one of a kind
Sides were so well made I'm mad I didn't have room to finish them all
Went for dinner with my husband. The food was ridiculously good! The service was even better than the food which is seriously saying something. Our waiter knew exactly how often to check on us so that we felt tended to but also had privacy to enjoy our meal and each other. We can't wait to go back!
Manager/host of the dining room was away from his station when we arrived which required a rather awkward wait until he returned to seat us. Our server Hank was great, attentive, and highly knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered oysters on the half shell to start, delightfully large and meaty. Each of us had a martini, superbly mixed and very cold. We also each had a Wagyu filet. Mine was overcooked to brown as opposed to the pink center. Sides of au gratin potatoes and sautéed spinach with mushrooms were meh. Ambience very nice. Over-priced for the quality.
We had a 6pm reservation which I consider early for Saturday night. The dining room was relatively empty. We were seated without menu's, our waitress greeted us, asked for our drink drink order and if we wanted an appetizer?? No menu's. The drinks took quite some time. Once we ordered the food took quite some time to arrive. I had the sea bass and it was quite fishy, which is unusual. Overall we have always had good luck with Morton's but I can say we will not return to the Rosemont location.
It took 20 minutes before they took our order. It then took an hour to get the main course. The filet Diane was disappointing, and the halibut was tasteless. The hostess was very understanding and offered us free dessert. In the past week we have been to Joe's and Wildfire. Morton's comes in below third. For the prices that you are charging, at least the service should be top notch. Desserts were good, as were the brussel sprouts.
We were in the Chicago area for one night, and felt that Morton's was the place to go. I ordered the petite fillet mignon with black truffle butter. It was sublime. If you want a great steak dinner, this is the place to go! It was crowded on a Saturday night, and there weren't sufficient wait staff, but we weren't in a hurry, so that was fine.
