The restaurant called to confirm our reservation and asked if it was a special occasion. I informed the hostess it was my father's birthday. They made a special menu with his name on it. It was a low cost, exceptionally special detail that had a huge impact on my father. They made him feel special and that earns customers and loyalty.

The food and service experience was awful.
We had 2 of 4 dinners come out over cooked.
We ordered a soufflé ahead of time...chocolate.
It came out as berry and our waiter tried to tell us there was brown in it.
OMG
It was a special award dinner and it was 2 and half ours of pain to send things back and get the bill settled.

Sadly you can’t redo a special night that goes so wrong in both ends of service and food prep.

Very unlike our past Morton’s dinners.

And, when asking for mint jelly for the lamb, we were told they are our this week but other people have also been asking.
How about someone stops at a Wegmans or Price Chopper to pick it up?
$1.39 for mint jelly for a $45 meat platter...
Good trade off

Jim is a fantastic server. He was extremely knowledgeable regarding the dishes and tuned into exactly what our preferences were. This is the second time that Jim has been our server in the past month. He's phenomenal. The food was top shelf and came out very quickly. Three people in my party of Six had the mixed grill. The variety, value, and quality was very impressive. Not only was the main course outstanding, but the desserts are out of this world. Both of my sons repeated what they ordered last time. A slice of key lime pie and the carrot cake. One bite of either of these, and you're in heaven. I can't wait to come back.

We were in town for a business function and looking for a good meal. Husband had lamb chop and loved it. I had the filet Mignon. We had the colossal crab for an appetizer but feel $22 was a bit pricey for what was served. I wasn’t a fan of the asparagus as it had balsamic vinaigrette drizzled over it. Overall was a good experience and meal. I didn’t realize it was a chain.

Great service and food. Celebrated with a party of 9! Servers were helpful, quick with requests and knowledge about menu and how dishes were prepared. We have someone who had several dietary restrictions and servers were extremely helpful. A very fun night and great atmosphere.

They were out of rib eye, out of key like pie, out of cheesecake and it took our food 1.5 hours to come and we never received our appetizers.

Waited over an hour and 15 mins for a medium well steak, when it finally came 35 minutes after my children received their food it was still bloody. I had to send it back and by ghe time it came back out my kids had finished their meal. I ended up eating alone. I also ordered tenders from the bar bites menu for my 5 year old and they came with spicy buffalo sauce on them, which he wouldn't eat and then I had to send them back, my waitress stated the tenders come like that, the menu did not specify that. Then my daughter ordered the steak tacos but asked for them in a hard shell, the waitress never advised us before the tacos were brought out that it couldn't be done that way. Instead she brought out her tacos on soft shell and said the cook stated the steak pieces were too thick to fit on hard shell. Would have been nice to know before the food was brought out in the event she may have wanted something else. The crab cake patties taste extremely fishy, the menu said crab blts but the patties were just laying on a piece of lettuce, I've had better at less casual dining restaurants. Beside that the onion bread was delish, the cocktail I ordered was really good, but for $13, my small cup could have at least been filled to the top, I got about 3 quarters of a drink. The steak was good once it was finally brought out. Oh yeah, for the amount of money I paid for the nine in rib eye I was expecting sides, I was extremely disappointed none of our meals came with any sides, they all had to be purchased separately. I ordered fries that cost me $14, I had the option btwn reg or parmesan truffle I believe, I ordered reg and they even taste like they had a cajun spice to them. The steak was good but I dint think I'd ever go back just due to the service that was provided and the amount of time I had to wait for a simple steak! Its unacceptable to have to wait almost an hour and a half for a steak point blank period!

Our son’s college graduation. We called ahead to let them know that it was a special occasion. They had a special menu printed with a personalized congratulations message to my son. Soon after, a staff member came by and took our group picture, which he later delivered to our table. The food and service were excellent. Perfectly cooked and very attentive service. They made this a memorable evening.

Extremely disappointed. My meat was undercooked and was eventually removed from the bill after sending it back to kitchen and still failing to get it to proper temperature. Potatoes were room temperature and also were sent back to be reheated. Asked for light dressing on salad...it was drenched in dressing....asked for light ice in drink...it was filled to brim. Final straw for me was server pouring coffee overshot the cup and some coffee pooled in the saucer. Absolutely no offer to bring me a clean saucer or, at a minimum, a cocktail napkin to soak up the spilled coffee. A restaurant of that caliber, charging top dollar, needs to do better than that.

I’ve had better steaks for less money. But for a chain restaurant in a hotel...it’s probably the best you’re going to find in Rochester. The fancy level is through the roof...from the valet parking to the linen tablecloths. The service is impeccable. All in all it was a great experience, and the steaks were really good. A perfect out of town celebratory meal for a 12 year only who just hit some home runs.

If you didn’t ask I would have never complained. We were so excited to go but we were disappointed with the steaks. The salmon and sea bass were delicious. We had to wait for our drinks and to have our plates to be removed. The manager came by and asked how things were and left the table before we could respond. We go out often and all three couples felt the same way. We would not comeback.

Our server was prompt but seemed forgetful. We had to ask for bread. At this price point, one would think the service would be completely outstanding. The two of us, with drinks, came to $215. The lobster bisque was short on lobster and very watery. The steak was phenomenal. Restaurant on a Friday night wasn’t busy at all.

The service in the bar was very god, as were the drinks. However.....our waiter at first seemed very knowledgeable, but things went down hill. We had a drink at the bar, but he did not ask if we'd like another. Took our order, apps were good, nice presentation, salads were also good. Dinner was served. No presentation at all! Very surprised at that! Two of the filets were ok. My husbands ribeye was cooked properly, but was full of grizzle. My filet however.....was well done, no where near medium that I asked for. The waiter said he would have the kitchen put another one on asap. He returned with a second one and cutting into it, it was raw!! I refused to have it cooked more and he took it away. Then shortly after,a manager came over with a third filet! At that time everyone else was done eating. I didn't ask for a third, she offered to bag it up to take home and I said that I came there to eat it, not take it home. When the check came, I asked the waiter if they served bread with the meal, his answer was yes! When i said we didn't get any, he said his busser should have brought it out. My response was that he was the waiter and should have noticed it was not there! Also refilling water glasses. No attention to detail what so ever! Unfortunately, I will not be returning to Morton's. For the high end prices, it should be next to perfect.

Ordered a martini and bartender took out a measuring beaker for the gin. Very tacky for an upscale restaurant. For a Cosmo, bartender asked if we wanted Cointreau instead of triple sec. we did and he proceeded to lightly splash the Cosmo with the Cointreau. The bill showed a $3 up charge for the Cointreau. Again very tacky for an upscale restaurant. Better steak restaurants in the area for much better value.

We were seated immediately, then started the wait. Two groups were seated after us, both received their bread, ordered and received their food before us. The restaurant appeared to be at half capacity.

The food was fantastic. Great presentation, delicious favors and ample serving sizes. The server was pleasant, knowledgeable and engaging.

The evening was a mixed bag of quality. The pleasant aspects of our dinner edge out the wait.

Nice steakhouse with pleasant and sophisticated ambience. Not the best steak I’ve ever had but far above any other chain restaurant. Service was great. They are very professional and make a point to have you feel welcome and provide the best service they can. Went with my boyfriend for his birthday and they took a great picture and provided a hard copy. Special little things like that make it a place worth going to.

We sat at 7:30 and our meal came out at 9:41 and was cold. Bartender was rude. Manager said Kitchen was a smidge behind. Over 2 hours is more than a smidge. Many places in Rochester are significantly better than Morton’s especially service, price and taste. I won’t step foot in there ever again.

Celebrating Valentines Day, 4 couples, first time at Morton’s. first courses took over 30 minutes, salads had very little dressing, lobster bisque was like warm at best. Entrees came out shortly after apps and salads were cleared. All entree sides were Luke warm, 4 of 7 steaks over cooked, order med and medium well and all were very well done.

For the cost average of $250 per couple, you did not exceed our. expectations.

As someone in the business, I was extremely disappointed.

This was our 4th visit to Morton’s for a special occasion and unfortunately it was far from our “best” experience. While the server was very pleasant, she seemed a bit clueless compared with servers in the past. WE had to tell HER about the specials for wine (Stags for $99) and the dinner (Lobster topped filet).as she “just got in and didn’t know”. Wife ordered filet and requested butterflied and med well. It came rare and not butterflied. We were then advised that they don’t butterfly 6 oz (couldn’t tell us before?). Sent it back and it returned charred, microwaved and tasted funny. $50 in the garbage! The tuna appetizer was outstanding. The server assisting with water was excellent as was one of front end personnel that assisted with the wine. Music was unusual, loud and not very relaxing. The Grand Marinier soufflés was excellent but shouldn’t have taken so long to get since we told the server in the beginning of the night we wanted that. We knew from past visits to expect an hour for the fresh made dessert. The meal still lasted 2 hours and the place was not extremely busy. Even with the rewards, the meal still cost over $250 for two people (and a generous tip for less than spectacular service). So many other options in Rochester for a high end meal at that cost.
