Morton's The Steakhouse - Reston Ratings and Reviews
Busy night but Diego our server was excellent and we never felt rushed but always had what we needed. If you've been to Morton's you know what to expect but they have stepped it up on the specials and the ones we tried were excellent. The portions are huge so we had steak and eggs the next morning. Reston Town Center looks beautiful during the holidays and its a nice stroll after dinner.
My family went to Morton's for a birthday dinner. We love coming here because it is always a wonderful dining experience. The staff from start to finish were cordial and attentive without being smothering. The food is consistently and delicious. The ambience is great. The restaurant is clean and tasteful decorated. These are the reason why we go to Morton's for special occasions.
Morton's is always top notch and it always made for a perfect place to take clients.
I previously was at Morton's of Reston every week. But now that the town center has the stupid parking application requirement I only take a customer when I have to. If it weren't for the parking application, the castle if getting a code, and the annoyance of interrupting a business meeting to work 9ut getting the code for parking... I would gladly be at Morton's weekly.
The Reston town center is now the last place on my list to take customers.
- Bread brought out late and only upon reminder.
- Wrong drinks served, one reminded and other let go.
- Filet mignon medium well was well done to over cooked/charred.
- Manager offered one free dessert for over cooked filet when dessert was already free for wedding anniversary reservation--pointless fix.
- Waited a long time to get our credit card back.
- Restaurant wasn't that busy so service should have been way better.
- Been coming for 10 years for our wedding anniversary and this will be the last--very disappointed with the overall service when paying such high dollars for steaks.
Used to be a frequent patron of Morton's but haven't been back in a long time, for no particular reason. I was disappointed when I sat down to a paper menu vs the rolling menu cart from years past. Service was EXCELLENT!! It was our anniversary and the staff made a big deal about it and made us feel very special. That was so nice. Food was just as good as we remembered. We would highly recommend Morton's at Reston.
Mortons has lost a lot of appeal. Not keeping up with the times. Maybe they do more business
meeting meals during the week. Friday night it was empty and the food was so-so. Some of the food on my plate was cool and some as it should be. Not impressed especially for the price.
Pretty much a disaster from start to finish. My wife's steak arrived cold and way overcooked. It was sent back. Backed potato came after I was done eating. They remade my wife's steak but by the time we got it, the dinning experience was ruined. Coffee came after we were done with dessert. Service was inattentive. This place is hit or miss. This was a big miss.
We Were dining with a Landry Club discount so the waiter knew we would not be his high spending customers for the evening. However, you would never know it by the way we were treated. We had great service. The food of course was great, as it always is at Mortons. Mortons also has a number of very good wines. However, the mark up on their wines is much higher than many other high end restaurants.
Our waiter was not very attentive.
He took the order and then stopped back once as we were finishing. When he offered me a glass of wine it would have been nice to make mention that happy hour was over and so for the increased charge of $12 a glass I could have sampled something not on the limited happy hour menu. My guest commented that the waiter was nowhere to be seen. We flagged down another staff member when we were brought the wrong food.
We visited Mortons to partake in the bar bites Happy Hour which seemed to state 6:30-9:30 but we misread it and arrived at 6:40 and asked for the bar bites menu.
We ended up spending $65 for 4 apps.
The server should have explained that it was over.
We would have ordered entrees
The meal itself was excellent. Steak prepared perfectly. However, the service was terrible. We were dining because Morton's offered a special three course meal for a good value. It seemed obvious that as soon as our waiter knew we were there for the special he was no longer interested in serving us. Every course was served after only considerable delay. Even our drinks and wine seemed to be a who cares after thought with us. He spent the majority of his time schmoozing with two tables that were obviously past clients --- and worse those tables were directly across from us made it all the more irritating. If Morton's doesn't was want to serve the special, it should not offer it. The poor service ruined what should be a nice experience.
This was the first time I had a bad expierence at Mortons. Our server was less than attentive and our food was over cooked. We waited to send it back but our server was no where to be found so we managed to get through it. I will be back we are letting it go as an off night.
