Morton's The Steakhouse - Reston
Book your next event with us
Arrived 5 minutes early for our 7pm reservation. We didn't get seated till 7:30pm
Amazing food amazing place love it here 65.00 for our steak a little high price but still amazing
Food is good with traditional steak house (high) prices for steak and sides. Crab meat cocktail was excellent. Atmosphere drags the rating down. Tables are too close together, waiters continually bump into you as they pass by and servers could use some more training (reach in front of diners to fill water glasses or provide utensils).
Waiter was new and hard to understand. Surrounded by people in clothing more suited for playing baseball or gardening. Awful for the money we paid
Three of our steaks were undercooked and we’re delivered back after most of the food had been eaten. Just got I’m sorry and that’s it. Plates were not cleared in a timely fashion.
Our Capital Grill experiences have been excellent when this has happened with our steaks. Should have gone there.
freezing cold in the restaurant. people actually kept their winter coats on during dinner.
Birthday, special menu. Service was great
What happened to Morton's Reston. Food is still good though pricey.
Service is horrible. There was a near mutiny all around us this past Saturday night. The people around us were outraged about the poor to non-existent service.
Our waiter was clueless. His usual answer to any question was "I don't know". Huh? Hint: Go ask!
So they screwed up my partners dinner and it made her sick. The manager apologized and comped her dinner but it still wasn't worth it.
We're going back to Eddie Merlot's.
Our experience it was great, good food as always!
Our friends loved the experience.
2 of our 4 steaks were undercooked so we ended up eating in shifts which is not ideal for such a pricey meal.
Our waitress was adequate but not up to par...we’ve eaten here many times and It definitely detracts from the meal when the service is “eh.”
Food was delicious though and we always come back for that reason. So despite this outing being off, we will definitely be back again.
Ugh...so disappointed. Had the first reservation of the night at 5 pm . We were the first people to order and 2/3 steaks were still raw when served . They were sent back but you know it goes , steaks cooked again now overcooked and our sides were cold as we waited for our entrees. Special occasion dinner... not so special.
Our server (never had her before) did not give us the the restaurant week menu. She was MIA a lot. I have never experienced this before at this location. When the bill cam, she did not give me the bill just what I needed to sign. After waiting for her about 10 mins, I just had to leave. I will definitely request specific servers next time.
Service was a little off but the food was excellent.
Diego is the best! Outstanding service!
Music too loud and waiter not always engaged with us
As always, the service and food was outstanding.
We always LOVE coming to Mortons. The food and service are always outstanding!!!
reservation at 6:30, main entree not served until after 8. food of the quality expected for a steakhouse but not exceptional and priced ridiculously high for what get. dinner for two = $260, two salads, one share potato dish, two servings lamb, 2 gin tonics, 1 glass of wine, one cappuccino and one free dessert for birthday. waiter quite personable. expected more for that amount of $.
We celebrated a special occasion at this Morton's on a Sunday evening and had an excellent experience. Reminded us a lot of the, as we have read, closed downtown Seattle Morton's. For many years that restaurant and its General Manager, Michael, were our favorites - the Reston Morton's is now the favorite.
Service was spotty. Glasses were not filled. Portions were delivered incorrectly (i.e. my wife's salad came out with my shared appetizer, but they forgot to bring my salad). Just not the level we have experienced at other Morton's in Baltimore, Houston, Huntsville, etc.
Wonderful food& service!
New Years Eve
Our "first time guests" loved every thing about Morton's.
All was good. Service was a bit slow. Never got asked if we wanted more drinks as we sat there with empty glasses for 30 minutes during our meal. Food was good however so it worked out.
We were seated immediately. They have a coat check which you don't see often. Be prepared to tip when you pick up your coat. We were seated in a cozy spot but if was near the food prep area of the kitchen so it was noisy. I'd stay away from that seat unless you want to be entertained by the kitchen. The wait staff had personality, had a sense of humor and was very helpful with our questions. The food was excellent. We had the filet mignon and the rib eye. The waiter suggested medium plus when we wanted our beef well done. It was perfect.I wish I had the option of single size sides.
Great service, food quality has gone down quite a bit. I dine at Morton’s often and they need to focus on the food and get it right. My last 4 dining experiences the steak was under cooked or over cooked.
Bad service in a nutshell. Doing away with the food presentation makes them just another steakhouse! Steak was mediocre.
The service was just par yesterday. We go there often and even pick up carry out often. Some of the sides were forgotten and my sons got their French fries and baked potato after they finished their steaks.
I was expecting the food to be a lot better than it was. My steak was overdone, I had to send it back. The lobster oscar was tough, with little taste. My glass of wine was good. For $200, it was poor value. Frankly, I expected a better performance from Morton's.
Their main area is one big room. You'll be seated in the middle (too tightly packed for a nice restaurant) and have to request then to be moved to a both. People kept 'migrating'.
Service was just bad. Forgot the appetizer, told me that he'll bring me beer B because they are out of beer A, never took the menus away, ...
Steak was ok, but not like my last visit a few weeks earlier. So, if you want to impress a client, this place is probably too risky. Lucky for them they are the only high-end steak house west of Tysons ...
Celebrated our daughter’s 20th birthday. Great food, great atmosphere, friendly staff and great service. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
You just don’t get a steak better than Morton’s. I know—I’ve tried. Yes, the price is about 50% higher than other excellent steakhouse chain restaurants. But, your taste buds will tell you that you made a fantastic choice. This is not the place you would eat at every week, but if you have something to celebrate or guests you need to impress and they are fans of a terrific chunk of beef, don’t goof around taking them anywhere else. Morton’s is your place.
Our waiter Eddy was the star of the evening, making everything perfect for us as we enjoyed our Christmas Dinner. When I go back I will always ask to be in his section, or I will wait for an opening!!!!
Went on Christmas night for dinner. Food was just ok. For the price I expected better. Server was pushy and forgetful.
Very disappointing! Not worth the prices.
Morton's continues to be an old reliable restaurant. Open on Christmas and other major Holidays you can count on Morton's for a good meal. Ideal for a business lunch or dinner with excellent private rooms (one large and one smaller). We had a Christmas Party along with a Murder Mystery Dinner for 30 people there and it was very comfortable. As usual the service and food for our large group was impeccable.
We usually love Morton's this year it was just fair, and for the price, not a good value. 3 of us ordered filets, 2 were great, one was terrible, tough and costs $48! My daughter and I ordered a salad we both added shrimp, we were charged $34 dollars for 6 total shrimp (rip off). The service was just fair, we had tons of leftovers and before we knew it they were thrown out, no one asked if we wanted doggie bags. When I asked about it they they gave me some salad but not the leftover 2 sides, probably $50 of food thrown out. Dissapointed.
Restaurant was very busy on Christmas afternoon. Wait staff was very good. However, wait staff did not bring a couple extras as requested by dining companions. Also, while the food was very good, it did take quite a while to be brought out. I guess that was a function of the busy crowd.
We were seated next to a large table who was EXTREMELY NOISY and didn’t care who heard them. We had a 7:15 reservation and waited about a half hour to be seated. The hostess told us she was waiting for booth for us, and the people in the booth we were waiting for had been there SINCE 4PM!!!
I was unhappy w my first drinks flavor, so I sent it back and got a Pavlova which was just ok. I had the peppercorn NY Strip and it was so loaded with pepper on the crust and in the sauce, it was too much. I ate a bit of it, but did not take it home. The best thing was the sour cream mashed potatoes. The service was just ok. We go every Christmas eve as a tradition, but, we will not be returning at all.
Christmas Eve Dinner was amazing! This place never disappoints!
