Arrived 5 minutes early for our 7pm reservation. We didn't get seated till 7:30pm
I don’t have enough good things to say about the Reston branch of Morton’s. I’ve dined here more times that I can count, and have never had less than a perfect experience. The room is clubby and comfortable, and the staff treats me like family. The wine list is quite reasonable priced for the area and contains an impressive selection, especially by the glass.
I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Please, forget the other steakhouse chains in the area and let Maura and her outstanding team take care of you.
Excellent steak, perfectly cooked and came hot! The restaurant is kind of smallish, and fairly noisy, but the waitress was great and the service the same. I'd come again anytime.
Morton's of Reston has become one our "go to" locations for special occasions. It is too pricey to be an option for routine dining but it is the perfect place if one wants to make sure to have a first class meal with first class service to honor an anniversary, birthday or Mother's Day. Everything from the salads, to the appetizers to the over-the-top Morton's Sunday is first rate. And of course, there is the outstanding selection of Morton's signature steaks to choose from. You will leave with a dent in your wallet, but it is well worth it.
The restaurant and food were good however, it is WAY too loud. The tables are very close together so your seats get bumped quite often which is a nuisance.
Great. Thank you.
Very poor handling of an allergy-related request - very rigid kitchen policy "Absolutely NO substitutions" enforced by management with no solution offered. Could easily have been handled much more tactfully.
Also, 1 of 4 meals was delivered to table significantly later than first 3.
I was prepared for the high prices ($9 for a cup of coffee); I was surprised at the very customer-unfriendly attitude.
Overall, not at all what I expected from Morton's; perhaps this is why I was able to get a last-minute reservation on a busy day?
Great place to have a romantic dinner. We celebrated our anniversary here and the restaurant printed our names on the menu with our anniversary date and the host took our picture and printed it with all the staff's signatures. Very thoughtful and celebratory. Great drinks, especially the lemon drop martini.
Another great night out with the fine people at Mortons. Amazing food and amazimg people!
Excellent dinner and absolutely the best waiter I’ve ever had!!
Restaurant was quiet, poor service. Waited 30 minutes for water, waiter forgot our order. Extremely over priced for what you get. Will not recommend this restaurant or return!
I have been to this Morton several times; bringing family, clients, and hospital staff. Unfortunately, I will not be returning or recommending after our experience this weekend. The food was horrible and upon our complaint it seemed more like the manager wanted to argue about it rather than make it right. Not to mention it took her over 20 minutes to even come to our table when we asked for a manager. Disappointed by how the situation was handled, and the experience overall.
Great food - we ordered steaks medium - one came out a little under medium, but juicy. The other came out a bit over medium, more like medium well. Not as tender or juicy. In all fairness these steaks were about 2 inches thick -
Great place for a casual friends night out!
Food was good, but service was not up to par for an upscale steakhouse. Service still lacking far behind Capital Grill. Plus the tomahawk steak was a big joke. They said it was way more than for two adults. My son, who’s only 15 and I finish the steak within 15 min and was still hungry. Morton needs to compare their $110 tomahawk steak to the size at Capital Grill. Morton would be embarrassed and may even take their tomahawk steak off the menu. Overall it was a very disappointing dinner. Probably the last time I will go to Morton’s. Such a shame because it’s a beautiful restaurant.
We had Easter meal. Food and service was excellent. I had the seafood mixed grill special, chopped salad and horseradish mashed potatoes which were all excellent. Oth r had the halibut, shrimp scampi and rack of lamb and also loved their meals. One person has the prime rib and he said it was fine, not exceptional. I had two complaints. They did not have any options for my daughter. We’ve sones before and she had items from the bar menu but this was
Not offered today. It’s too much to expect a child to order a $50 steak. She ended up ordering an appetizer but that was very limited. The second complaint was the music, loud jazz. No everyone likes jazz. It was so loud and disruptive to conversation. There are speakers all
Around so a different table would have not helped. We requested they turn it down but they did not. I really hated the ambiance due to the music.
We went for my husband's birthday dinner. I didn't request or expect anything special, but the staff went out of their way to make it feel like a special night for him. The food was outstanding, but the personal service put the night right over the top. There was nothing pretentious or snooty about the entire experience - it was perfect!!
Service was great! Staff went out of their way to make Birthday a very special occasion!!
The quality of the beef (Ribeye steak) has gone down and the price has gone up. Compares unfavorably to Ruth Chris or Palm. Best if your on an expense account.
We really enjoyed our ribeye steak, it was so juicy and delicious... wasn’t crazy about the soups. Service was very good, little pricey, but wirth it if you want to have a good steak...
Always a spectacular meal!!! We come here for all of our family special occasions. They never disappoint!
Great as always!
The kitchen was moving very slow last night. They had an oven break down which delayed our food considerably.
Tonight's was the worst service we've ever had at a Morton's. It too a very long time for our waiter to even come by our table. During the meal, there were plenty of service staff, but they were all polishing glassware at other tables while we were out of drinks. When I pay this much for a meal, I expect more.
Absolutely amazing experience. I made a note that it was my boyfriend's Birthday and every staff member said Happy Birthday! We even received menus that said Happy Birthday on the top! Then we received a free dessert, a complimentary picture in a card signed by the staff, and the Birthday Menus rolled up to save!
worst service I have ever received at this location of Mortons. The food was spectacular as always, the help was just not up to par like it normally is and I had to eat at that location one day prior as a party of one and had phenomenal service
Service was great. Food was good but pricey but then again it is Morton’s Place closes down early - 11pm on a Saturday night?!
Outstanding service and food.
As always excellent beef. Aged, cooked properly and served hot. Sides are suitable for two.
Victoria was awesome
Ate here for Valentine’s dinner. If it’s a holiday such as this, do make reservations. Great restaurant. 👍🏽👍🏽
Terrific steaks. Great service.
We had the filet and lobster tail special and it did not disappoint. I love those specials!! How about a prime rib special??
Took my younger brother for his birthday. They did some really cool stuff for us. Took a group photo and printed it on a birthday card, etc.
Good experience. Good food.
Birthday celebration, great place, great service!
Sat at a table in the bar area. The bar staff was amazing!
We had a great meal with fast service and a good experience. My husband loved that our waiter was making an effort to make jokes even on a busy Saturday night. We will definitely come back.
We went here for restaurant week. Our server was clearly not happy about that choice. Salad was awful - soggy iceberg lettuce and blue cheese with no flavor. Entrees and sides were delicious. Service was marginal, but the worst aspect was the very delayed delivery of second glasses of wine - they were ordered when we finished our appetizers and arrived mid-way through the main course. Neither of us were quick enough to say that we'd rather not have them at that point, but we should have.
Have been several times before and always had a positive experience. Would I go again - probably for a business dinner if a client really wanted to, but otherwise no.
The service was excellent, but I have had better steak in other restaurants. The restaurant was very loud and it was difficult to have a conversation with my husband.
