We finally went to use our wedding present gift cards and had a very special dinner. The staff recognized our special occasion with a complementary photo and delicious, light, and fluffy shuffle. Will definitely plan to come back. But would be nice if the one is Seattle reopened. We might visit more often.

We were seated at the smallest two top, worst table in whole restauant. Shoved by the doors, hardly enough room for the bread, glasses, menue, etc. Server had no knowledge of the different ciders they offered. Asked me if they taste like wine coolers. Ordered medium rare steak that came out extremely rare. They did comp it and the 2nd one they brought out eventually was better. Finally, they tried charging us for a cider they were never able to bring to us because they were out of it. Not very impressed by visit especially considering what the caliber of this restaurant should be and their price point.

The food is even better than I remember from my last visit many years ago. The service is subtle but thorough without being intrusive. Fantastic experience. Morton’s may have a reputation for being expensive but the prices are comparable to other steakhouses for a better dining experience.

We decided to get some food before a play and we weren’t disappointed. Our Waiter asked if we were going to the play and then timed everything so we could even enjoy desert. The food was delicious and the staff very helpful and courteous.

It was crowded. It took a long time to be served. Be pepared if they are crowded for dinner to take hours. Manager apologized as did the waiter for our wait. They waived the 70 dollar corkage fee due to our wait. They forgot to serve a baked potato and did not charge us once the baked potato did come out. Food was excellent. Liked the Morton’s sundae. Waiter was friendly and informative.

Steak was too done, like mine medium rare, this one has only a small amount of pink, more on the medium range. Only loud because of several large groups. Probably not always this loud. I enjoyed the seafood, it was cooked to perfection.

Maybe offer one desert that is dairy free. This would make the restaurant unique among others.

Although initially forgotten by the wait staff, a waiter noticed us and things picked up. They had been exceptionally busy due to holiday parties and groups, so we weren't put out by the slight. We've eaten here several times and have always found Morton's to provide us with an excellent dining experience. This trip lived up to expectations. Excellent meal, great wine, good dinner atmosphere and good attention to the guests by wait staff and management. We will return...

Appetizers of ahi tuna and crab cake, superb. Salads fantastic. Main courses of steak and lamb to die for. The deserts or key lime pie and creme brule were excellent. The bread pudding was awful. Avoid it. The service top notch and the cocktails, again, fantastic. Stay away from the bread pudding and you're in great shape!

 (Portland)·Dined on November 27, 2017

Food was decent, but compared to the amazing fare you can get in Portland, it wasn't anything to write home about, and certainly not at the prices Morton's commands. The remodeled dining room was nice but perhaps not the most fitting for a steakhouse. It's a cross between Chic and Fine Dining, but it's still just a dining room with a bunch of tables and a few booths in it. Our server was awesome - super friendly and attentive. Portions were small and pricey, with little effort put towards presentation (sides ordered separately). The Brocoli side dish was fantastic. We had an extremely well behaved little one with us, and it would have been nice if they at least had a coloring sheet or crayons. In summary, the food was good however the ambiance feels too much like a chain, and price premiums don't make it a overall value.

Terrible experience.. I will never step foot in that restaurant again!!!
My family and friends had a reservation for 7:30 last night (Thanksgiving)
We were seated at a lovely table and proceeded to place our beverage order. Never came!!
We placed our order, our waiter never placed it with the kitchen. I don't think he even wrote it down. Because while he was taking our order he kept complaining his pen was not working...Fast forward and hour and 15 minutes after asking other staff where our beverages and food was the manager Patrick arrives at the table and says there was a family emergency that our waiter was experiencing. All during this time, mind you our waiter continues to be on the floor not attending to us. Patrick offers to comp beverages and sets us up with another waiter. She then forgets part of our beverage order. After one and half hours of being in disbelief of this debacle we leave without eating. This will be a Thanksgiving not forgotten soon enough. I called Patrick, before writing this review to give him an opportunity to explain and clarify this situation
Which he showed little interest in doing so. There are so many wonderful restaurants in this city, why someone would choose to patronize this poorly run and unprofessional restaurant, baffles me.

We celebrated Thanksgiving and chose Mortons for an excellent dining experience. We were not disappointed...We immediately noticed the fine decor, subdued lighting, and upscale nature of the interior. It reflects what one expects from a major city fine restaurant and it's patrons.
The meal was perfectly cooked and each mouthful was relished (Rack of Lamb,Steak and seafood combination). The pre dining cocktails were generous. The server was most pleasant, helpful and always available. We particularly enjoyed the whole loaf served with delicious butter before the meal.
All in all we decided it was one of the best 'Evening out' dining experiences we'd ever had. We plan to return for Valentine's Day in 2018.

For all the holiday meals we have eaten out, this Thanksgiving dinner (no "traditional" Thanksgiving fare was available) was by far the most enjoyable. We did not ever feel rushed. The wait staff was calm and very attentive, and didn't have any kind of superior attitude like they were doing us a favor. It did not have a food factory feel to it at all. A bit expensive, yes, but well worth the price.

The food, especially the steak was as good as ever, however, we had to wait quite a long time to even get our first course and then even longer for our main entre. And, when we did get our steak, we had to wait for our side vegetable dish which was excellent, but should have come to the table at the same time as our steak. We didn't mind the wait initially as we were enjoying each other's company, but surprised at this lack of detail to service. Our server kept coming over and checking on us. She reassured us that we would get our food shortly, but it was still not what we expected from Morton's. Also, we noticed that since the renovation, the noise level is higher than it used to be. We always sat in the booths which no longer exist and they were more intimate and quieter. We would love to return, but hope these issues can be resolved, so that our experience is as good as the steak that is served. We are willing to give the restaurant another chance.

Very disappointed in the experience. Have dined at several Morton's Steakhouses in past and looked forward to having dinner here. The food was mediocre, the steaks were bland and the salad did not have enough dressing to even coat the greens. The interior was dated and worn. The best items were the house special Pinot Noir and the souffle.

My friend and I were in Portland for the night and excited to try a Morton's for the first time. We were seated in a room, that wasn't part of the main dining area, against a wall. In this area there was a group of 8 and it was obvious this group was much more important than my friend and I. After our bread was served the waiter came and did a half-hearted attempt to brush the bread crumbs off the table leaving most still there. Then our waiter brought our bottle of red wine out and set it on a counter behind us (still corked), left and came back 15 minutes later to open it and serve it to us in white wine glasses... I ordered my steak medium and it came out well, however, the second attempt was perfect and very tasty. My friend was pleased with her steak as well. We found the waiter to be semi-sleazy and inattentive. We were very disappointed in the overall experience and won't go back or recommend it.

It was disappointing. Shrimp cocktail was god awful. We were forgotten at check in (15 min early for the reservation so they sent us to the bar... 45 min later we had to go back and check and they were like - oh we thought you would come see us... after they said they would come get us). Server was a nice guy but it felt like a chain restaurant that charged crazy prices for basically nothing. The baked potato was just that. A baked potato. You could add butter or sour cream but the potato was $13. The steak was Amazing and the bottle of wine we brought was great.... overall sad and disappointing experience. We went there bc my husband hasn't been able to taste for over 2 yrs... he just got his taste back and all he wanted was a good steak house. :( bummed.

I haven’t been to Morton’s in quite awhile and was very impressed with just about everything. First of all, they have done away with bringing over to tables a platter of various cuts of meat! Instead the waiters are able and do an excellent job of describing various food items, etc. The only thing I didn’t particularly care for was the blue cheese dressing on the tomato salad. Too much and overwhelmed the vinegarette dressing. The rack of lamb was great and the baked potatoe was perfectfully baked and served with all the goodies, including actual bacon rather than so-called bacon bits. Chocolate mousse was a delicious ending to a meal. I couldn’t eat everything so they packaged everything I wanted to take home in separate containers which awaited me after the show at the Keller. I had an excellent waiter, John, and when I return si will see ifI can request him as my waiter. All in all a wonderful dinner at Morton’s!
