Cajun Ribeye Steak
Five Peppercorn Rubbed Prime Strip Steak
Took over two hours to receive our food. The waitress did apologize and said there were two large tables in the back rooms that ordered before us so the meant our tickets were after theirs. Husband's bone in ribeye was very good and tender but my filet mignon was tough and ver sub par. Sides were okay but not spectacular. Didn't end up ordering dessert since it took so long for our food to come.
Enjoyed a nice Mother's Day meal at a busy Morton's. Service was attentive but not hovering. The miso poached sea bass was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Some texture contrast in the presentation would have made it even better. The bacon wrapping the scallop appetizer should have been crisper, and the filet was a bit overcooked, but understandable considering the crowd. The lobster mac n cheese is an indulgence that you won't regret.
Very dissappointed in the quality of the lobster tail--extremely small and tough. The rest of our order was satisfactory---service very slow
Mother's day dinner, restaurants was operated. Service poor and food was moderate.
They overbooked for mothers day so it took 2 hours to get our food. They did give us free dessert though
This was our first time here and initially I was impressed with the decor and the hostess seated me immediately. However, it took 20 minutes before I was offered any water or given a menu. Then another 20 minutes before she came back to take my drink order. The food took forever, and both of our steaks were overcooked and sent back. The food was okay, but not at all worth the $260.00 we spent. We are foodies and are always willing to pay for great food and an awesome experience, but I didn't get that here. In all fairness, it was Mother's day and it was busy, so I may try Morton's again... maybe.
The Morton's team provided a great experience for a Mother's Day lunch in the City. The venue has a sense of formality that my elderly mother appreciated. The private booths and seating arrangements allowed us to chat effortlessly. The portions were just right and the staff took care to make sure it was to our liking.
The wait staff was great! And kept us informed but we waited over 2 hours for our entrees because of a party of 15 ahead of us.
The apps and salads were very good but my wife’s filet was over cooked and my ribeye was raw but deeply charred on the outside which was the only thing that made any of it edible. Both steaks were ordered medium rare but both missed. We were seated in a back room obviously converted to make space for distancing but it was still noisy though this really wasn’t a big deal. The doneness of my steak ruined it for me and it was too late to send it back so I didn’t eat at least half of it.
our steaks were undercooked then cooked again to be rubbery
We had a wonderful time. Dinner was outstanding. Our server was Chris. I would highly recommend asking for him. He was the perfect server!
We were warned that the kitchen was backed up when we got there, BUT it did take longer than expected tho. our reservation was at 815 we didn’t leave until 11. No big deal, no like they could help that. We also did wait a while
for one of our peoples. My steak was cooked to perfection (rare) others complained there was over cooked but they got it medium well so that’s on them TBH. Overall it was good. Would try again.
Also JR waiter etc
Is the BEST
so is Bill bartender
Frim lisa and Erik Zettelmayer
Please pass this along to the Resturant !
Waited 2 hour before we got our food. Our server was nice and the food was good but 2 hours is insane, wasn’t worth the wait. Unfortunately due to that probably won’t rush back there.
At the beginning of our dining experience, we were getting really good service. However, as our experience went on, our service declined. We were checked on less frequently, we waited a while with empty cups, and there was some confusion on who was suppose to present us the bill (our waitress or her helper) which caused us to sit there a little while longer.
In addition, the restrooms were a mess. In the females, there were two stalls without toilet paper, paper towels on the ground, and an overall messy appearance. According to my father, the males bathroom had a trashcan that was overflowing.
Amazing experience from start to finish, delicious food!
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Morton’s. We have been to the other upscale steak houses but not Morton’s. It was just as good, if not better, as the others. I had the Cajun ribeye and my husband had the bone-in filet. They were both delicious but the Cajun ribeye was my favorite!! The service was top notch and it was just great getting out. It was the first time in over a year when we went to a nice restaurant.
We were there almost 2 hours. Our server could of sped things up a bit. Tables that came way after us left before us!!! Then there was an extra $30 charged to our bill for an appetizer and drink that we did not order. It was not a pleasant experience.
We've dined at Morton's many times through the years, and always found it to be spectacular. This visit for our wedding anniversary felt unremarkable. The lack of valet service was understandable in the midst of a pandemic, but I wished we'd known that there'd be no valet when we booked the reservation. That made for some stress as we had to find a local garage in which to park and wound up late for our reservation as a result. Service otherwise was very good. But we were disappointed in the menu. The available appetizers and side dishes were not as varied or creative as we've experienced in the past. And the beefsteak tomato and onion salad, long a staple of the Morton's menu and a personal favorite of mine, was gone. Our server did tell us that the kitchen could still prepare the salad for me, but the dressing was different, and it did not live up to my expectations. My wife and I both ordered steak, which was terrific. But of the three sides we ordered -- parmesan and truffle-oil matchstick fries, asparagus, and street corn -- only the street corn had any real flavor. The fries were bland, and the asparagus, beyond the drizzled balsamic dressing, was bitter. Lastly, the chocolate lava cake we had for dessert seemed a real step down from the chocolate souffle that used to be the highlight of a trip to Morton's; it was no better, honestly, than the chocolate lava cake and ice cream one might get from any of a hundred chain restaurants. Lastly, in terms of ambiance, Morton's used to feel more intimate. There were always other diners there, but you felt almost like you were experiencing private dining. This night, despite a light crowd due to the pandemic, it didn't feel like an intimate dining experience at all. I don't know if that's because of the renovations that have been done through the years at this location or if it's something else, but the sense of intimacy was missing. None of this is to say it was an overall bad experience; it just wasn't special.
We sat at the bar and had a great meal. Our waitress was great, she had great conversation with us and was very attentive. Very convenient as it was right across the street from the hotel we were staying at.
Definitely would come again the food was amazing the only hiccup was that our food took extremely long to come out due to the fact they overcooked our steak and had to remake it. Our sever informed us of the hiccup and offer to by us dessert. When our food arrived it was extremely good! So far the best steakhouse we been to.
Everything was awesome. Service and the food was on point.
What a nice place to celebrate birthdays !! They were fantastic and the free dessert was fantastic:). They really made our night special. Oh and the complimentary photo was a AWESOME BONUS! !! 5 STARS for sure! Ty!
It was a nice experience to take your wife to for her birthday
Fantastic. Food, service, atmosphere, promptness, friendly, professional. I love coming here.
David, our server made the experience truly special . From the well explained choices to consummate professional courtesy and an attentive eye to details Davis will be a requested server by us in the future . Management added an extra birthday touch for my wife which totally put the entire event over the top!
fantastic server and bartender and hostess---would definitely go again for a special treat
Always a pleasure to spend time at Mortons in Pittsburgh! Stephen was especially great last night and the food was amazing as always! Can’t wait to go back next week.
I’ve been to Morton’s a number of times over the years. The food was great as expected, but the service experience was surprisingly the worst I ever had. To start, our waiter did not acknowledge or greet us with menus until about 10-15 minutes after we were seated. When we asked for appetizer recommendations, we received a rushed one-word response from our waiter. After dinner, our waiter asked if we would like him to box our leftovers for us, or if we’d rather do it ourselves. When we asked him to box them for us (I’ve never even been asked this in the past - I thought this was part of the normal dining experience at Morton’s), he had a look of frustration and disgust. When he brought back our to-go bag, he did not even acknowledge or look at us. I still tipped him as customary since I do not know if he had something personal going on in his life that was impacting him at work, but I felt compelled to leave a review here since a large part of the experience that you pay a premium for at a place like Morton’s is the first class service experience that you come to expect.
Great service great food great vibe! Will definitely come back soon!!
The best steak in Pittsburgh! Made to perfection! Our waitress was a delight! Highly recommend!
I had the sea bass, and my wife had the filet. Both were good, but neither knocked us off our feet. For $200+ (without a bottle of wine), I expect a meal to be outstanding. This one just wasn't, at least not in our opinion.
Service was excellent, by the way.
Our meal was wonderful. JR was great. Can not wait to visit again💞
Everything was great and the only issue we had was being seated in front of the kitchen so we heard every word the chefs said. It was quite loud.
Excellent food excellent service! Will definitely visit again!
The food was spectacular. The raw seafood was fresh and exquisite. The filet mignon steak was cooked to perfection. The wine suggestion was perfect. The server was professional, friendly and fun. The sommelier was entertaining and wonderful. I decided to take my new girlfriend and she absolutely loved it. Thank you, Morton's! It was a great experience. We'll be back again soon!
Great experience and amazing food. Looking forward to our next visit.
Service was outstanding and made us feel very welcome. Looking forward to going back!
It was a little louder than I would have liked, but it wasn't too bad. The food and service were outstanding, and the ambience was terrific. We were there for our anniversary and they took a picture of us and gave it to us as a gift, along with complimentary dessert!
Pretty pricey, but worth it for a special occassion.
Service was excellent as well as the lemon drop martinis!!!
