You can tell poor management
Good food and excellent service!!!
The filet that my wife ordered was sensational! My ribeye was a bit sinewy, but tasty. The sides and desserts were tremendous!
Excellent as always!
We have dined at many of the finest restaurant in Pittsburgh. Having said that, we believe that Morton's is the best restaurant in Pittsburgh. We live about 45 minutes north of the city. So we usually book a hotel room for the night and go to Morton's.
Dinner was delicious!
Fantastic food. Good service. Sat in a booth directly in front of kitchen, and could hear the cook complaining along with noise of plates, orders up and chit chat. All in all really good, and would surely return, just wouldn't sit in front of the kitchen.
Had never eaten there. Like a lot of upscale restaurants, everything was ala cart. However, portions were enough to share. Staff went out of their way to accommodate grandkids desire for a cheeseburger.
The best NY Strip in Pittsburgh!!! Lisa and Steven are the best hosts I know of and they are always attentive to all!
We were going to theater after dinner and the show was fabulous!!
As always, the food was outstanding and the service impeccable. Highly recommended before stage shows, plays etc in the cultural district.
Really overpriced for what it was. Better off going to Capital Grill, Ruth's Chris, or Eddie V's.
Kind of disappointed.
Great experience on Balentines day. We were the largest part with 6 people and ended up in a private room.
Very nice touch, and special for our group who don't each out as such nice places very often.
People were great.
We go to Mortons a lot. We love the servers and food. Very special place to eat
I ordered the 14oz special and about 4 oz of it was a huge chunk of fat. Our sides came a half hour after our meals. The Brussel sprouts were not even cooked hard as a rock. The potatoes were under cooked and very starchy tasting. The worst part, no one stopped by said where sorry your food came out late or anything. Let me not forget the old man behind us coughing amd spitting into a napkin our entire meal.
This was my first trip to Morton’s and it was excellent from the service to the food. Our waitress went over the menu and called out the most popular dishes. We ended up going to two of her recommendations. My steak was cooked perfectly. We also got the cheesecake which was the some of the best cheesecake I have ever eaten.
We went for dinner and to watch the Super Bowl. Had a hoot, food and service were great and the Puppy Bowl was enjoyable! We'll be back.
Steaks are amazing, which goes without saying at Morton's. Sides and salads are equally good.
Cocktails, not so good. The bartender clearly didn't know how to make an old fashioned. The only fruit was an orange slice, and it wasn't even muddled. Didn't taste like there was any simple syrup or sugar, and very little bitters. Pretty much bourbon on the rocks with a slice of orange in the bottom.
Waitress was adequate, but when giving her my Landry Select member number, she picked up my unlocked smartphone and took it into the back room with her!
Steak tacos were amazing.. great as always
Visit here 2-3 times a year for special occasions. Have always had an excellent meal. Our waiter, Stephen, did not just give great service, he gave LEGENDARY service. Having a Landry's card was a real plus and the celebration photograph is a wonderful touch. We will be back. The only negative that I had was the $20.00 charge for a single glass of Pino Grigio, and I had two glasses.
Very nice. Been awhile since I was there
Morton’s used to be our #1 place. We were there before seeing Wicked and were put in the backroom in front of a mirror that badly needed Windex. Our tuna app was great. Then came the soggy salad, then my over-done filet. Lastly, our waitress was very curt when we said we needed to get to the Wicked show so she brought us an ice cold soufflé. For $250, we expected a much better experience. Sadly disappointed.
Starting with a seasonal cocktail, Gingersnap. Delicious
The evening was off to a great start! Charred oysters were just a delicious as the ones we had in New Orleans.
Dinner was also delicious. Loved the new menu item.
We tried the Cauliflower mash!! Very tasty!
The staff at Morton’s always do an exceptional job!
Our first visit celebrating our 43rd anniversary. We had a wonderful evening dining on exquisite food. The entire atmosphere of dining at Morton's was memorable.
Restaurant with contemporary decor and romantic ambiance for a date night at the theater!! The food was expensive though very delicious and worth the price for the steak dinners!! Plan on going again on my Anniversary!!
Excellent as always.
I like to take friends to places they have never been before and experience culture that they previously never had the pleasure of enjoying, and they all made comments to me that Morton's was by far their favorite of all the ones we have visited so far. I would agree. My desire has been to take them on a dining "tour" of the finest restaurants in Pittsburgh (we live almost 2 hours away), but at this point, I am leaning toward returning to Morton's on our next trip rather than moving on to the next stop on our tour, even though there are several others that we would like to try. I would have no objections from my group. I highly recommend Morton's in every aspect.
Sat in the bar and enjoyed the service and the double cut pork chops.
Lisa (our hostess) and Rich (our server) were excellent! Lisa is wonderful and Rich has been our server on previous occasions! The food was magnificent and the place was very energetic the evening that we were there! We have never had a bad meal at Morton's/Pittsburgh and recommend it to our friends!
Our waitress was wonderful, she was attentive yet scarce enough she wasn't bothersome. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and will be back again.
Great service and always a great meal.Cant go wrong here if want a nice atmosphere and dinner
Very good food and service; however, our table was right near the entrance to the kitchen so it was a very loud atmosphere with yelling and dishes clanking the whole time.
Our waiter was amazing! Food was excellent and just enough portions. Atmosphere was a little dark but was just enough light to make a great ambiance.
There were four of us for dinner for Pittsburgh Restaurant week and the experience was wonderful. Some times when you go to an event like Restaurant Week, you have a fear that you will not be treated well, but that certainly was not the case. The meals were excellent. Two of us had the filet and two had the double cut pork chop. Our server, Diane, was experienced and friendly. You can always count on Morton's for a great meal
Out with some life long friends.
Food was average at a way above average price. Server felt overwhelmed and too busy. We weren’t given the dessert menu until it was really too late to order hot dessert. The mushrooms were too salty and the cauliflower was only moderately warm. Definitely not top steakhouse choice in Pgh - Hyde Park was better. Lobster Bisque seemed greasy. Overall disappointed with this visit.
Anyone who believes that Morton's is priced out of reach for most should consider the superb meal my wife and I enjoyed at the marvelous Downtown Pittsburgh location on Thursday, 11 January 2018. For $40, my promotional meal included a more than ample complete dinner: large loaf of fresh, warm onion bread and whipped butter, caesar salad, cajun pork chop, a full, large order of mashed potatoes, and key lime pie. Everything was delicious. My recent $250 gift card purchase entitled me to a $50 bonus certificate and the Morton's Select Club membership provides further value and perks. Of course, Morton's wonderful ambience and fine service are a part of every feast. We left the table glowing! Bravo!
This was our second time at Morton’s and we couldn’t have enjoyed our meal more. The staff was really great and the GM Lisa was a pleasure to chat with. If they have the Wagyu filet special when you go, it’s a must have. Not sure I’ve ever had a nicer piece of meat. Overall fantastic experience! It’s a no doubt 5 star experience
