Unfortunately we didn't have the best experience! I guess because we went on restaurant week, we were treated like second class citizens by the waiter. Our potatoes were cold & there was a hair on our table! It's a shame because we always liked Mortons and they used to have exceptional service !
The food was excellent and the service was excellent. All of the staff were extremely friendly and professional.
Our waiter Steven was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! Very knowledgeable & didn't mind explaining in detail what would work for Me! Because I have selective dietary needs! I'm FOREVER grateful! Thanks SOO much & GREAT JOB Steve
I had salmon & I was disappointed & the creamed spinach was just ok.
Morton's Steakhouse was a last second pick for my date and I for restaurant week, but I can definitely say that I will be coming back! The service was wonderful right from the check in desk all the way to the end check. Our waitress was kind and very informative about how our meat would be cooked, and she was perfect about keeping our glasses full of wine and water. The 6oz tenderloin was cooked beautifully at a medium rare for the both of us and I seriously wish I knew the recipe for their mashed potatoes! To conclude, our visit was wonderful and I will definitely be adding this restaurant to my Philadelphia rotation.
Delicious food, perfect service... and a great deal during restaurant week!
Delicious steak dinner!! Glad this restaurant was participating in restaurant week or we would never had tried it
We both enjoyed our meals. Very delicious! The server was extremely nice. We have been there before & will definitely return.
There were no other tables occupied in the 2+ hours we were there. Certainly was quiet!
Good food, dated ambiance. Some silly prices - $9 for San Pellegrino. Bad mood server, who was merely civil. Great receptionist. Very dark stairs to enter - why?
Unfortunately, Morton's shows it's age. I usually dine at another high-end steakhouse in the city, but having a gift card to Morton's, I was interested to see how it has held up. While the service was excellent, the food was so-so. Although both of our steaks were cooked properly, they did not have the flavor, nor texture that a filet and bone-in ribeye should have. The decor was nice and updated, but there were literally only three other tables with diners at 7:00 PM, which I think inherently says something about this restaurant. I think that with so many options in the city to choose from, Morton's probably sticks around due to business meals and those who are used to the same restaurant from other locales. There are much better steakhouses in Philadelphia, and even my friend asked "how could they still be in business?". Oh, and I find it unacceptable that I could hear the kitchen tenderizing steaks from my table; something that has never happened anywhere else. Next time I receive a gift card, I would probably just use it at the bar.
Consistently good. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Staff goes out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. A real hidden gem, and the bar bites are the best kept secret in town
Food and service was second to none. Ribeye oscar style was tremendous. Finished with lava cake that was delicious.
Food was bad, this was my first time at Morton's center city Philadelphia and the food was awful.
Excellent service and food.
Our evening was once again fantastic. Starting with the manager, Steve, who is always great to talk to! The food was done to perfection, including the Pittsburgh char on the steak. My wife's favorite part was the carrot cake that can't be beat anywhere. We highly recommend this spot anytime to escape the summer heat. What a special treat the night was!
The service was great! Wait staff always on top of things. Waited for nothing!
We always enjoy Morton's. My daughter and I went there because we were out of town and she likes it as a "special dinner.". All was excellent. My steak was a bit overdone so they comp'd my meal (which wasn't necessary but they did it anyway). Drinks were great. Manager and employees top notch. I would definitely go back! Highly recommended.
Superb service , wonderful food and pleasant atmosphere . Great place for a special occasion !
It is sad to see this restaurant in decline. Used to be a vibrant busy restaurant. The prices for for have escalated substantially. Steak entrees are outrageous. Prepare to spend with wine $120 or more per person, not including tip.
Wonderful food, great server, excellent experience.
Went for my daughters high school graduation late in the evening. The servers were fantastic - congratulating her, taking her picture, and giving her her favorite dessert, a souffle, for free - all without anyone at our table asking for any of it. Made it that much more special. Great evening thanks to them.
Excellent, service, food and atmosphere, for a business meeting. Job well done
Food was very good. It wasn't a busy night so we had a very good meal. Server was a bit intense but excusable. After visiting Capital Gill, I have to reduce my marks here.
I would have gave 5 stars but I didn't like the bartender. He barely spoke and kept looking at me. Easy as if I didn't belong. He spoke to everyone else but me.
When I was seated, my waiter was awesome!!!!!!! I would recommend the dining room but not the bar. Horrible experience.
Thank you for making my daughter' s dinner with her family in celebration of her graduation with her law degree from Temple University on Thursday evening
Food was delicious. Ambience soft. Lighting perfect. Just beautiful.
Great staff. Food always great. Loved the lobster cheeseburger. Bartender makes the best martini
We had a wonderful time at Morton's. The food was fantastic and the service was very good. My steak was among the best I've had. It was very quiet, but there were not many people there. It might get loud when it is full.
Mediocre filet and lobster. No flavor. Sad that a steakhouse has such poor steak
Great place for steaks and seafood. The atmosphere was even better. Service was good and attentive and felt relaxed since the time we sat down. Would definitely visit Morton's again.
Fabulous food. Great service. Planning to return.
we always love it there . everyone is always so nice. the manager Steve is THE BEST
Very quiet on the Sunday evening before Mother's Day. Service was excellent and all food was prepared as requested. Pricey, but ok for a special occasion when people looking for a good steak.
Other restaurants could not accept a same day request for the time we needed; Morton's did. 30 Due to traffic, we were more than 30 minutes late; Morton's said no problem - they'd seat us when we arrived. We explained our need to finish dining in time to make our show - we didn't feel rushed, yet we able to make the show time. When the steak wasn't tender, they agreed and offered several options to replace it. Our evening wasn't negatively impacted because of our dining experience. I will keep Morton's on my PHL Avenue of the Arts restaurant list
It was for my birthday
My husband and I had a great meal here! Steven, our server, was amazing!! We will definitely come back for a special occasion in the future!
The bartender served us drinks and dinner. He is very charming and competent.
Easter Sunday dinner with family.
