Great service and good atmosphere
Service was excellent
Food was great
The best steak I have had in years, and the sides and dessert were excellent too!
Insanely overpriced!!!! Paying a third more than you would pay in NYC for good, not great, food. The ambiance is tired, and the food was nothing special for the prices charged. We should have know something was off when the place was almost empty on a Friday night.
Food was terrible, but our waitress was so nice. It wasn’t her fault the food was tasteless and dull. Will not be going back. So many other places to eat with a much lower price tag.
Seamless service - the Gold Standard!
Excellent food and service as always! We ordered the bone in filet which just melted in your mouth and the twice backed au gratin potatoes. The manager came to say hello and followed up to ensure our meal was everything we needed!.
Great night! Very good good. Little bit pricy but it’s a steak house, so it’s often a little bit expensive.
It had been years since we had eaten at Morton's. When it had moved to its current location from its prior site across from the Academy of Natural Science, the overall atmosphere declined. The large tables in the middle of the room take away from the "feel" and "look" of the facility. If they want to accommodate large parties, they need private rooms as Seasons 52 at the Cherry Hill Mall in NJ or Catelli Duo in Echelon, NJ.
When we returned, we recognized why we hadn't eaten at Morton's in years. The signature "live" menu on the cart was removed when Landry's acquired Morton's. That's a big mistake. This feature was one of Morton's "trademarks"- similar to the choice of steak knives at Barclay Prime. Because it was a Friday in Lent, I had the crab cakes. They were below par. The only redeeming value was the waiter, Steve, who was excellent. I'd like to return to try out a steak once again. But, in all likelihood, I won't go back. It's a shame. Morton's used to be a great steakhouse, but it appears that Landry's acquisition of it ruined it.
Overall a very good dinner, though the side dishes were slightly underwhelming. The ambience was a bit more "chain restaurant" than some other steakhouses we've been to. We were seated quickly and the staff was very attentive and friendly.
We had an excellent experience at Mortons. Our server, Michael, was terrific, and everyone with whom we came in contact kindly acknowledged that we were celebrating a birthday. The main room at Mortons is very nice and comfortable, with a relaxed, but upscale, atmosphere. As for the food, our meals (including ribeye and lobster tail, with sides and a fantastic starter, the bacon steak), were delicious. We had a fun and memorable time, and we're already looking forward to a return visit. Our thanks to the staff at Mortons for a great evening!
Between the food and the location of Morton's, we always have a wonderful time there. And the chocolate lava cake is worth EVERY CALORIE!
I have been to Morton’s in Philadelphia a number of times. Unfortunately, this past reservation was canceled by Martin’s because they had a power outage. I received a call about five minutes before my reservation time. Apparently, the outage had been going on for several hours, so it would have been better if I had been informed of the problem earlier. Luckily, I was able to go to Estia And meet my friend there for a very enjoyable dinner.
Seven of us went to Morton's, since we had always had good luck at other locations of this fine chain. Everyone ordered steak, of varying kinds and degrees of "doneness". All reports were positive. This was the third steakhouse we tried in Philadelphia and all agreed it was the best in terms of quality of meat. Service, although competent and helpful, was not as sharp at some of the other steak restaurants. Wine prices, as in most Philly restaurants, was very high compared to many other cities.
Everything was perfect!! Had a wonderful evening!
Everything was perfect!
The grilled oysters are amazing.
service was good, disappointed in the food. just okay, not bad , but for the money
i will go to delfriscos to get a steak next time
Amazing dinner, service was excellent, food was even better! Highly recommend!
Totally awesome place to go. Everything is perfect from the decor to the food and service. My server,Erin, was fantastic
Amazing waiter, very funny, tentative.
Ambience was very light and noise was low, nice music playing.
The food was amazing. One would think that it would not be enough but in the end it becomes even more than you may be able to handle.
Always an amazing time....the food is always cooked to perfection, drinks perfect and timing impeccable.
The best filet, servers, management & ambiance in Philly!
BEAUTIFUL ROOM! OUR WAITER WAS GREAT AS WAS THE FOOD.
Our server, Anwar, was outstanding!!! He made our evening incredibly special with his wonderful personality, food suggestions, and attention to every detail. Would you kindly recognize him for his "above and beyond" customer service.
Thank you very much.
Great, as usual.
Went for my wife's birthday on a Thursday early in the evening. Patronage was light but busy and teh decor was a little dated, but the food food was amazing and the staff was very attentive, especially our server Steven. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and will definitely be going back.
Crab cake was average at best, the filet underdone, and waiter was great. Overall it was a bit disappointing for $250.
Our first visit to this particular Mortons Steakhouse. Our server, Mike was extremely friendly, courteous and respectful. Unfortunately this is where our meal began to go downhill. My lobster bisque had 2 pieces of shell/skin in it which almost choked my fiancee who sampled it. Then the lobster topped on my filet had 2 pieces of hard shell in it which caused a slight pain when I bit down on it. The manager, Mison was informed and dealt w these issues the best she could, but our appetite had dwindled as each issue came about. Our server Mike was extremely forgiving, but it wasn't something he could control. We've had great experiences at other Mortons. We visit many high end steakhouses all over the area and when traveling. I hope we can get ourselves to return for a second visit, but unsure at this point.
When we arrived for Valentine’s Day, we were greeted promptly and sat right away. The noise level was appropriate to be able to carry on a conversation and it wasn’t very busy. Our server seemed very distracted. Forgot to bring out a couple of items throughout the meal but in the end we were comped for those. So, that was nice. The food was okay, definitely more of a traditional, standard steakhouse. After dinner, we wanted to grab another drink at the bar. We asked the bartender if he was still serving at the bar since there wasn’t anyone seated and he didn’t seem be very interested, tossed up his hands and never provided a verbal answer to us but continued on about his business. So, we left. We had heard nice things about the establishment and left feeling very disappointed and that it was extremely overpriced for the experience.
The restaurant was on the pricy side, but the food and service were truly exceptional. I recommend for special occasions.
Ordered my steak with no added salt or seasoning of any kind since I limit salt in my diet due to heart conditions. Never a problem at any Morton's throughout the country. But, when I eat at teh orton's in my hometown, they never get it right.
The presentation of dinner was not there. Other Morton steakhouses bring out the meat for you to choose from. This one did not you ordered straight from the menu. Also when I went to pay they took my money from my Landry’s card without asking me and then they were able to put it back on except for $25 of which I asked if I could have on a gift card and they said no. Won’t be going back to this place again.
Treated like a King !
We are "regulars" but we continue to be impressed with the overall quality of the food and service. They often have weekly "events" during various parts of the year. We like the regular menu, but like to try some of these specials from time to time. Steaks are cooked perfectly.
Great time, food and service was excellent.
Food and service was awesome!
It was my first time there We had a very good experience. I would go back.
Always the best filet mignon & exemplary service!
