Morton's The Steakhouse - Orlando

It was excellent and we had a great anniversary dinner!
Overall great experience. Great service and food. Our waiter Josh was great. Thank you!!
We had an excellent evening of dining at Morton's in Orlando. This was mainly due to the quality of the food. The lobster bisque had a good amount of lobster, always a good sign. We had the steak and seafood special (with lobster) and it exceeded expectations. The cauliflower mash was excellent. My wife's chocolate lava cake dessert was very good. Our drinks were well-prepared. The waiter was a pleasant fellow who made good suggestions; he did make one mistake in not delivering on a promised switch of salads. I was shorted 11 points toward my reward account, which was disappointing, but did mar the overall experience.
Very good service and food.
21st wedding anniversary
Anniversary dinner success! We truly enjoyed everything about our dinner and reservations, from the booking to the very end of our night there. It was perfect! The restaurant confirmed our online reservation thru a text. Then the day before, we got a call from the hostess to confirm and ask if we were celebrating a special occasion. We were running late bc we had an hour drive to the restaurant so we called and they said no problem! When we arrived, the friendly hostesses greeted us right away and took us to a beautiful table where we got to sit side by side. The waitress, Jonny, was so sweet and friendly and took our drink order right away. She explained the menu and we enjoyed the most delicious bread! The hostess took our picture and brought us a special frame with happy anniversary written on it and a special menu with the same and our names and date! What a special touch! All of the service was exceptional! The food was absolutely the best we've ever had and we enjoyed every thing about our experience! The only thing I would say negative, is there are no prices on the menu. We didn't ask or care because it was a special occasion, but if I were going to eat there next time, I would want to see prices. It is expensive, but we did feel it was worth it because the food and service, ambiance and overall experience was worth it.
We went to Morton's to celebrate my mother's birthday. Since we reserved through Open Table, they had our table ready upon arrival. What made this event special was the fact that the restaurant called the day before to obtain my mother's name to prepare something special for her birthday. They made personalized menus and marked the occasion with a photo plus frame as a personal keepsake. The waiter and sommelier were extremely helpful with the order and provided personable service. The wine they selected was phenomenal and the food was as expected - worth the what we paid for. I would recommend this place for any special occasion. Keep in mind you will need to bring a full wallet! But in the end, this will be an experience you will never forget.
Everything was awesome: food, service, ambiance. Our server was from Boston area (we are New Englanders), so we enjoyed chatting and he was wonderfully friendly. Our steaks & lobster tails were cooked to perfection & we tried a new side item, hash browns...delicious! Highly recommend😊
We were celebrating an engagement and the restaurant went out of the way to make it memorable for us. Morton's has always been a favorite but this time, the things they did were extraordinary and the hostess and wait staff were incredible. Many thanks to the entire restaurant for the wonderful treatment!
Birthday. We love Mortons
We went for Valentines, we expected a wait even with a reservation, however it was so cramped and no where to stand. Finally seated, we waited another 20 mins or so to be greeted, and 30 mins for my cocktail from the bar... our server was not very accommodating and service was slow. The portions were ridiculous for the price & I still feel it was a waste of $. It’s just a bummer how much we expected out of this place.
As always, excellent food and service. Expensive but worth it.
Normally a decent place to eat, we had reservations at 8:00 for Valentine's day. We were sat at 8:10, no problem. The server appeared a few minutes later, but took 45 mins to get a drink (the margarita tasted like a sugary child's drink, not worth $16). I informed the server after we ordered that we will get a bottle of wine before the food arrives. 10 mins later the main course was brought to the table, the server never asked us how the meal was, never checked on us at all actually only came to clear the plates after we ate. It was a 2+ hour ordeal that cost $200 for subpar service, mediocre meal, and a waste of a good night with my soon to be bride. I know that they would be busy on such a holiday, but they were clearly not staffed how they should have been, and the staff they had was subpar.
Not worth the price overall. Service was slow and forgetful.
It was our first visit to Morton's and we were very disappointed. I've heard nothing but good things about this Orlando location, but everything was lacking from the initial greet (gave her our name and reservation time and wasn't told anything, just stepped aside and hoped we'd be seated soon?) to the final words as we were dropped our bill at the end ("I know the service sucked, hope the food was good at least...").
It WAS Valentine's Day, but c'mon.
I'll walk you through the meal:
-Received drinks one by one (sparkling water came, no lime, my drink came, not my boyfriends, etc.)
-No bread (it looked heavenly but after asking twice I decided not to bother again...)
-Appetizer was great (scallops), arrived promptly and was actually cleared before the salad course (!!!)
-My salad arrived, boyfriend's soup did not (never asked about it, it seemed futile)
-Entree's arrived while I was eating my salad (not a huge deal) so I pushed my salad plate aside, it was never cleared so I had the pleasure of staring at it as I ate my $75 entree
-Last round of drinks never arrived
-Really wanted dessert but by that point we had dirty plates sitting on the table for 20+ mins (including that salad plate, still) and just wanted to get out of there. Had a milkshake on the way home to cap off our "special night out" before our baby arrives in two months.
All in all, super bummed and we'll never be back :(
Valentines! Somehow we were bumped in when our order was put in. When it finally came - my steak was over done and they graciously saw and took it back but I ate alone... I felt that we received poor service because we were a family and not a couple or they knew we were Open Table?!?
Even our drinks were slow and we ended up one short.. The manager came by to apologize and did comp my steak!
Too expensive! Other Steakhouses are just as good and not that expensive.
Found it to be very noisy, meat was over cooked and very little flavor. Service was lacking and poor compared to comparable restaurants.
Great place Miko and staff are the best....
This was my first time at the Orlando location. My husband and I went to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, and coul not have been better taken care of.
Thanks to all the staff for making our celebration extra special.
Mili and Frank
Another wonderful meal! Had a great birthday celebration! Debbie is the best server - definitely request her!
The staff went above and beyond in making me feel extra special as I was celebrating my birthday. I greatly appreciate the added efforts.
My wife and I have been coming to Morton's for at least 20 years and have yet to be disappointed! This past Saturday was no exception. We were seated promptly and greeted by Stephanie, WHO ALREADY KNEW OUR DRINK ORDER! That's what I call paying attention. The service was perfect, and the dinner (Steaks of course) was great.
Everyone at Morton's...(Stephanie of course, Phil and Diane in the bar, and all the folks who bring bread, water and whatever you need)... are as pleasant and accommodating as is humanly possible.
That's just a fact.
In the immortal words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, "I'll be back."
Food was fair on this winter special.
Morton’s is one of my most favorite restaurants. Food the service and the cleanness is always above average. Happy hour is always great. Looking for something to do early I recommend Morton’s.
Our server Phil was outstanding!! Food was fabulous!
Many special requests all met with a smile! Great steaks, large lobster and great wines
Mortons has definitely gone down hill over the years, the ambiance and the general feel have gone from a privately owned, fine dining restaurant, that you feel like darn I just spent $300 dollars but man is that a meal I'll never forget, into a robotic chain, short cut, chain like version of every other chain restaurant in the area. Real Candles have been replaced by cheap led lights, the lobster bisque has gone from magnificent to with large bites of lobster in every spoon full, to cream and flour with a hint of seafood flavor and not a single bite of lobster. The beautiful presentation of fine meat on a tray has been replaced with bumbling immature wait staff, and vacumed packaged meat near the grill area (visible to the public) The bumbling wait staff is more like what you would expect from TJI Friday's I've eaten a lot of fine steak house, and I have eaten at a lot of chain restaurants and Mortons is now a close second to Long Horn Steak house, the main difference I'd expect such an experience at Longhorn. Been to this Morton's twice now with a duplicate experience, with subtle various levels of poor quality. I believe a major chain conglamorate bought Mortons several years ago....which really explains the move in direction of mass produced short cut, dining all around.
Freezing cold inside. Food was over-priced. Wait staff were boring and very bland. They knew we had a Gluten intolerance and served the mushrooms with bread.
Excellent Food as usual but this time the service was terrible. I think they have to train the new waiters a little better. Even if the guy worked his best, you can really tell that this waiter was lacking the experience needed for this level of a restaurant. We were having dinner around 7:30pm and the waiter had informed us that they had run out of bread for the table, not a big deal but definitely something you never expect from a Morton’s restaurant. Overall since the food was so good, it was a pleasant experience.
We had Debbie take care of us and she was great! Knowledgeable about the menu, specials and the wine. This was New Year's Eve in a resort area and she kept apologizing that she did not devote enough time to us. We had the evening special - 8oz filet topped with lobster. Outstanding! Looking forward to our return on a more quiet evening.
New Year’s Eve. Food and service were really good!
Over priced drinks, steak and sea food. Happy hour is ok. Service in main dining area is slow. All areas are very noisy, and not suitable for conversation.
Great Service - fantastisc Food like always
It was a good experience with Morton’s steak house. They really had a very delicious escargot.
