Morton's The Steakhouse - Nashville
Filet Mignon Trio
Broiled Sea Scallops
Started the dinner as being only two in the room. Our waitress was the only one without a mask on which was odd but later put one on. App was the shrimp, disgusting slimy and was not divined properly ate one and was done. Next was a house salad, not a fan of warm lettuce not sure if its suppose to be or not but it was warm; lettuce, egg, and tomatoes nothing else in the salad, i like more in my salad. steak was decent for me, two others found theirs to be very fatty as with every ribeye is but this one was 75%. Drinks were okay not special. nice wine selection. this is my 7 Mortons in different cities and by far the worst. being in Nashville they go up against Bob's, Jeff Rubys, and many other places that just blow this place away. Doubtful very much will be back. bread was edible and that's being nice.
No parking, no valet (due to covid). I get seated in the bar area and it was 20 minutes before being waited on. When I asked the wait staff about parking and said I was worried about my truck, I was going to go check on it, he demanded I leave my wallet or phone at the table.
I talked to the manager on my way out about the poor service he couldve cared less.
We had an amazing dinner for our anniversary. They are doing a great job on keeping tables social distanced and cleaning nonstop. Can't wait to go back!
For the amount of money we spent, I felt like I could have prepared a better meal myself.
Steaks are market price and a bit high that is my only complaint. Food and service was A1! We will be back!
Loved our experience!!! Everything was wonderful.
Absolutely the best dining experience in Nashville, hands down. Would recommend to anyone looking for a classy steakhouse.
We put on the reservation that it was our anniversary and the waitress did not even acknowledge it. We also had a waitress that had no personality and barely acknowledged us. We even told her it was our first time to Morton’s. She didn’t even try to impress us to come back. She didn’t offer pepper on the food. She didn’t even offer me anything to drink other than water. She didn’t offer anything at the end of the meal like coffee or anything.
We always do find dining each year on our anniversary and we will not be back to Morton’s. Food was good. Sea bass tasted great. Steak was not worth 59.00. It was only a step above a Logan’s steak. Very disappointed
My wife and was there in 2016 celebrating our 20th Anniversary and everything was PERFECT,so this past Wednesday 6/25/2020 we decided to go back to Moerons for our 25th and because of the pandemic it made everything totally different, the vibe was not the same, it was just a cold vibe there and like the life was sucked out of our celebration, VERY DISAPPOINTING!
The food was awesome and the service was great
We are here from Chicago
Very good meal even while dealing with COVID restrictions!
Service was a little slow. Not sure why since it was only 3 tables being served. Overall the food was good and it was nice to get out so we are happy. Parking is awful since there is no valet. Overall it was a good day.
Thank you so much for the amazing experience! Food, service, all amazing!!! Sending love ♥️☀️☮️
Great meal! We had no flaws in the service or the food and enjoyed celebrating my wife's 40th Birthday.
Not a typical meal at Morton’s. Not the normal bread, no chocolate soufflé, mashed potatoes were actually served cold. Not even luke warm I mean served cold.
Really enjoyed a special dinner, lovely wine and fantastic service! Filet mignon perfectly cooked (MR), nice lobster mac & cheese with light top crunch (maybe slightly dry, but I don't like mine too creamy), sauteed spinach and mushrooms in a light onion broth was delish. Do NOT miss the cheesecake, perfect for 2.
Very good meals...as always. Waiter and staff were excellent. However, it did take a bit much time to get a glass of wine and my spouse's appetizer. Apologetic and compensated us with dessert. Morton's is a mainstay for us.
Excellent service, mediocre food. Probably the worst lobster I’ve ever had. Could be the whole pandemic thing, but I probably wouldn’t return.
Excellent meal as always. Crab cocktail is wonderful with lots of nice size chunks of crab.
Cajun ribeye was a perfect medium rare as ordered.
It was delicious.
It was amazing. Kevin took care of us & made plenty of suggestions that were awesome. The manager, Sean, continued to check on us. My husband really enjoyed his birthday dinner.
We had a great anniversary dinner.
My girlfriend’s birthday was extra special due to the cooperation of Morton’s with flowers, the photo, and the personalized menu. The food was amazing - best steak I’ve ever had! The ambiance was nice. Our only complaint was that the waitress wasn’t as attentive to our needs as we would have liked (our glasses were empty for quite some time). Despite that, it was an amazing night!
It was our wedding night!! Service was horrible!! 45 min after ordering the server comes by and say you food will be out soon. Then comes back and says “I forgot we are out of crab legs”. Brings our food and my medium rare streak was well done. Never comes back to check on us. 25 min later the manager finally walks by so I can tell them. By now we have been there over two hours with pretty much nothing to eat. The bill was still $150 and all they said was “sorry”. They are supposed to be fine dining. Will never return!!
Valet not offered yet so we had to walk-in after parking a block away, understandable, but inconvenient.
Table/Booth was cramped for 4 people.
Wine took about 15 min. to receive with only 3 tables sat in the entire restaurant. Appetizers were the best part of the meal. Vegetable dishes (4 ct.) were lukewarm or cold. We actually sent back the creamed spinach to be re-heated, but never got it back. Manager joked with us after we asked him about it.
We all ordered 6 oz Filets, they were lukewarm, not flavorful, not garnished. Basically an average casual chain restaurant steak, very unexpected.
Ordered 2 desserts: Chocolate cake was warm and dry, worth about $4 from most chain restaurants, scoop of ice cream was fought over before the cake was eaten.
Cream Brule'e was scorched 'jet black' on the top and we had to remove some of that because it was over-caramelized and bitter and was not finished by our table.
We were very understanding since this was re-opening week, however hoped that this would have been a great time to Dine as restaurants need the business.
Creamed Spinach was removed from the bill.
Summary: A $440.00 dinner for 4 (after tip), left us scratching our heads?
Wonderful food and service.
It was absolutely amazing, such a great way to spend my birthday!
Excellent, great service!
With so many options in town, it had been a while since we were last here-I’m glad we decided to come back to a “standard”. Our meal was wonderful and we really enjoyed it. The filet was flavorful, which you don’t find as easily as you think you would; my husband had the chicken and loved it. Cozy booth and great service topped it off. I’ll be choosing Morton’s over a lot if the new places I’ve been to.
I come often and it was the same great experience. Great food and great service.
Perfect service, will be returning monthly for great dinners!!!
Fantastic food, service and ambiance. I’ve always had exceptional experiences at Morton’s.
Dinner before symphony. Excellent food & service.
We were very excited to try Morton's. The Cajun Ribeye was delicious. However, our waitress was hard to get at times and appeared to disappear. Also, the valet situation could have been better.
Food was great as well as the service. Had a great leisurely meal
Service was very slow. Steaks were not the quality as they have been in the past.
Treated like a VIP by everyone including the valet. Food was great and the service was too. The experience convinced us to sign up for a later special wine and food event that they are hosting. We will be back.
The service was great, but for the high cost the steaks were cooked too much and the asparagus was too hard
We made a reservation for 5, it was 5:15 before they took us to out table, they opened at 5. We were seated on an isle where many servers and Restaurant personnel passed us as we ate. We were not asked if it was a special occasion, the couple near us was asked. No one placed a napkin in our lap or treated us special . I ordered a filet mignon with mashed potatoes, my husband ordered a filet with 2 shrimp and 2 scallops. Both of our filets were tough. His scallops were excellent, shrimp ok. My mashed potatoes were very common, nothing special. The onion loaf break was ok. My meal for the small 6 oz filet was 45$ with an extra 5$ for shallot butter on top. Mashed potatoes were 13$. My husbands meal was 59$ with an extra 5$ for shallot butter. If the steaks had been tender, it would be a different situation, but they were just tough and chewy, we did not finish them. We were very, very disappointed, we thought Morton’s was a top steakhouse. We were in Nashville to visit an Oncologist for my husband’s cancer. It was a Celebration as such because we got good news. The Manager comped a cheesecake dessert that our waitress said she thought was homemade. It was not, it was a frozen round cheesecake that could have been bought at the local grocery store. We bought Landry’s Select membership in Longboat Key, Florida several months ago. We learned Morton’s was now owned by Landry’s. We will not be returning to Morton’s in any location.
Great food and service drove from Memphis to dine worth the trip
