Morton's The Steakhouse - Nashville Ratings and Reviews
We celebrated a 50th birthday here with friends before we headed out to the Ryman Auditorium and it was perfect. The food was great, the service was great and my husband got the largest piece of carrot cake I've ever seen!! The location was great as well. Walking distance from where we were staying and from the show. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Overall a very fine evening to top off a wonderful date day. A bit disappointed with the hostess treatment of a guest with no reservation, a missed opportunity, it seems she was focused on reservations only when it was pretty clear there were plenty of tables. But that was Mortons loss not ours. We enjoyed the evening our service and food were what was expected.
Wonderful evening at Mortons. The martinis were excellent and all the food was perfect. Best steak I've had in a long time. Very thoughtful staff. Knew we were headed to TPAC and made sure we had plenty of time and not be rushed. Valet helped immensely. Will go back soon.
My girlfriend and I walked in to this wonderful place that was so welcoming. They held our jackets for us while we ate dinner. Our server Taylor continued this trend and welcomed us and then gave a synopsis of the menu and drinks of course. He never made us feel rushed and answered any questions that we had. It was one of the best experiences ever that we had and made the date even more special. Thank you for having a wonderful philosophy and passion you have for people as well as creating memories for them.
Morton's is always a good time. No doubt, you won't get out of there without spending a hundred or more, but if and when you do, the drinks, the food, and the service is fantastic. We went for a birthday, my boyfriend wanted a legit steak, and as usual, Morton's did not disappoint. They printed up menus that said "Happy Birthday" on top - a nice touch, and our server was excellent in recommendations and timeliness. We had a great time, and will be back once we've rested our guts.
Bar was very loud and 3men siting at the bar were drunk and they continued to serve them. This is very disappoint gas Luther we very loud and you could not here your partner talk, this type of restaurant and lounge should ensure they stop alcohol service before there patrons are drunk and ruin the n8ght for everyone else. The manager and bar tenders inorged there volume and acted as it they were scared to cut them off.
Our waiter, Joseph, went above-and-beyond to make our anniversary dinner special, and even "bought" our dessert. He was just attentive enough to let us know he was there, but also gave us some time alone to enjoy our meal. The entire wait staff--including the hostess--was super-nice, and the food was good. I especially enjoyed my steak, and the soufflé that ended the meal. We had a great time, and hope to go back for another special occasion!
We arrived at 520 and I asked for a glass of Rose... I was shocked when I got the bill at it cost 26.00 for one glass.. then we waited 40 minutes for them to bring bread. Once we got our oysters they were the size of a pencil eraser... tasty but really small.
Overall it was ok but for the money (900.00 for 6 people) you would think the service would be better... really long wait times between courses.
The food was good but by the time we were served we were starving and it was less than enjoyable.
We spent almost 3 hours eating dinner!
A warm, inviting restaurant with exceptional service and good food. Not many places are open on Christmas Day, but the people at Morton’s made us feel right at home. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the potatoes al gratin were cheesy and delicious. A wonderful night cap to Christmas.
Usually go to the one in Atlantic City NJ. Moved to Nashville and figured we would give it a try for Christmas. Chicken Christopher was good as always. Server could have been a little more attentive and his speed of execution was slow. We’re we sat there was a cool breeze (draft) coming from the front door. I imagine this only happens in the winter but it made for an uncomfortable dining experience. We like Morton’s for the food and that was excellent.
Went on Christmas for a special dinner. Food was overall good. Really enjoyed the French onion soup and Shrimp Cocktail. Service was not up to usual Morton’s standards. Waiter seemed uninterested and not in good spirit. He did not return to check on food - we had to request help from another waiter.
Honestly the best dinner we’ve ever had all around. The food was incredible, but even more than that, our server was unlike any waiter we have ever had. If you go to Morton’s (which you 100% should) request Rob. He made the experience even better than it already was. Would HIGHLY recommend!!
Morton’s is always a treat and this visit was no exception. We took our 8 year old daughter for the first time after she performed in the Nutcracker and the staff made her feel so special. It was the perfect first fine dining outing. Bacon steak as an appetizer was a delicious addition to the menu.
Sat in the bar area on a Sunday because it opened the earliest and we had a 6:30 curtain call at TPAC. Service was decent - annoyingly over the top with theatrics but then a little slow to get orders and check up on us. Food was decent but not as good as the prices would have you expect. Cocktails were fantastic... and at $16 each they should be!! It was super weird to have to walk through the whole place to get to the restroom. I would return for a work dinner or lunch but probably not again for a date.
Pros: Excellent food
Reservations were prompt and special requests for a party of four were honored exactly as requested.
Extremely noisy making conversation difficult.
You are in Nashville so motorcycle T-shirts, cowboy and baseball hats, and hoodies are the norm.
Music was totally inappropriate for anyone other than a top 40s crowd .
Server was very inexperienced and did not know how to pace a meal.
Extremely extremely expensive for the quality of service and the meal. For a $900 meal I expected more.
When you want a top notch steak and a fantastic dining experience, Morton's will fit the bill! Awesome steaks, sides, appetizers, desserts and drinks; including a very large wine menu, will leave you completely satisfied! When you go here, go all out and enjoy the ride!!
