Morton's The Steakhouse - Naperville Ratings and Reviews
Morton's has always served great food but the price tag has kept my wife and I from going there for anything but the most special of occasions. We saw a promotion for Steak & Lobster which convinced us to go back for the first time in a couple of years. It was as good as I remembered and expected. The steaks were perfectly done, the lobster and wine were excellent, the atmosphere quiet, comfortable and inviting, and the service from Ryan was great. All in all, a great experience.
Even with the promotion, we still spent more $ than we ever do for dinner but since everything was perfect, it was worth it. For those with endless money, I'd be eating here often. But unless it's a business dinner with someone else picking up the tab, I will probably be waiting for the next promotion before going back.
My wife and I dined for dinner. We were promptly seated and the wait staff was attentive and pleasant. I had a filet and she had salmon. We shared creamed corn and mashed potatoes. I have had a better steak as this cut was not as lean as I would expect, but it was cooked perfectly. My wife enjoyed the salmon. Overall a very enjoyable, nicely paced, comfortable evening. We would recommend Morton's and will return.
We celebrated my birthday and we enjoyed nice wishes, photo and the menu with my name at the top. The oyster appetizer was outstanding. So were the steak (yum!) and vegetables. Steer clear of mac & cheese; it is a warmed-over, dried out mess. As for the souffle, it was an over-worked mess that had no substance underneath the top. The server had a hard time trying to cut it into three portions because all it had was the skin on top and a bit on the sides. Entire middle was empty. Order another dessert and you will be happy.
Fantastic place. It was our first time there, and certainly will not be the last. Food was the best, parking was the worst!
They went out of their way to make my sons birthday a little extra special. They took a family photo, had a personalized menu, and a free desert!
This was our second visit and must say much better than our first. The server was excellent very attentive to our needs and was always nearby but not pestering. Food was good, I had steak with lobster (lobster was V/G) my wife had steak was OK. Server suggested splitting the dessert which we were glad the carrot cake would be too much for one person.
Our first time there and it was simply amazing! Our taste buds exploded with all the delicious flavors. The lobster mac and cheese had 7-8 large pieces of lobster in it. The Cajun ribeye —superb. Our waiter was exceptional and offered expert guidance on drinks and the menu. We’ll definitely be back for our anniversary!
Excellent meal. They understand steak. The waitress was extremely helpful. She offered excellent advice....not just upselling. The veal chop was perfect. Simply done with a touch of flavored butter. Surf and turf was done to perfection. Enjoy the French onion soup. The Manhattan was very tasty. Do not go here for a cheap meal, but expect great service. They let us take our time and savor the experience. We did not try any of the sides this time, but we look forward to trying them one by one as we return.
We have been to your establishment on numerous occasions. For the past two years, we have made reservations for Christmas day and we love it. The only negative experience we had this year was that a couple with two children got seated next to us. The children were not well behaved at all. The boy kept climbing on the booth, under the table and all around. The girl screamed a few times. I would suggest a "children's area" if you are going to have small children there on Christmas.
We have been to Morton's a number of times and this was the first with a mix of experiences:
-Were seated an hour past our 5:45pm reservation time. (Big crowd on Christmas Eve.)
-Crowd and staff in bar during wait were all getting stressed and concerned by delay.
-Once seated, server seemed rushed/stressed, but did calm down as the place settled down.
-Very loud and boistrous in room, including a few loud complaining customers nearby.
-Had an order problem as everyone else around us got served, while we waited for our entrees.
-Manager came by to explain and apologize for the delay and did comp us for our entrees.
-Steaks and dessert excellent.
-Would return again, but not on Christmas Eve or Holiday.
Hamburger for son was not tasty at all.
Salmon was over cooked.
Filet came out wrong and took a while to come back from kitchen.
No hot water in restrooms, major hygiene issue.
Lady had to use counter for baby changing table, stall was used by staff member that had table,
Again, no hot water. Cleanliness, disease.
Worst visit I’ve ever had at Morton’s.
Unfortunately probably won’t go back.
Very unhappy dinner for $500.
Have been here dozens of times and this visit was one of the best. Filet and ribeye outstanding. The bacon wrapped scallops are always one of our favorites as is the lyonnaise potatoes. Yes, it's expensive but compared to other similarly priced restaurants it's phenomenal.
Ordered signature dinner (6oz Filet, 3 Shrimp & 2 scallops). Told server I like the streak pink in the middle, he said med well. Steak came out well, well done (burnt) fish was good. Server vanished ate the fish part of the steak. Thought this being upper scale steakhouse they would know how to cook the steak. For the price was not worth the trip. Too many nice restaurants in the area that serve good steak. (Eddie Merlot's, Sullivan's & Hugo's Frog Bar) to name a few. First time at a Morton's and my last.
WE HAD NOT BEEN TO MORTONS STEAKHOUSE IN NAPERVILLE. WE REALLY ENJOYED IT. THE SERVICE AND WAS FANTASTIC. WE WERE NOT RUSHED AT ALL. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. IT WAS A VERY NICE EVENING. LOVE THE ATMOSPHERE IN THE RESTAURANT. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO OUR FRIENDS AND ALSO LOOK FORWARD TO GOING AGAIN SOON.
