Morton's The Steakhouse - Miami (Downtown) Ratings and Reviews
I guess after 30 years on the same place they feel over confident to give you a mediocre ambient with a "ok" service .. btw I ordered a Bloody Mary and so far hands down the worst Bloody Mary I ever trying in my 42 years .. food was ok nothing fantastic for 250$ bill .. in general..fiend a better stake house to spend your time and money
Food was great, but the waiter was in a hurry to make a tip. He pushed the wine like he had not gotten a tip for months. He even served people that were not drinking wine to force us to ask for another bottle. On a positive note the steak was the best I have had in Miami and was perfectly cooked.
The service was exceptional and the ambiance was quiet and cozy. The only draw back would be the table bread that was too bland, and spongy with only the taste of the onion flakes on the outside crust. However, the meat and spinach were the perfect temperature and the chocolate dessert was out of this world.
Tried the Miami Spice menu and found that the salad lettuce was not crisp as if made in advance and it seemed that the dressing had been poured on salad when made. The asparagus was over roasted, room temperature and the drizzle on top enhanced the drab look of the asparagus. The cream spinach was salty and at the same time, had cinnamon in it but was not tasting creamy. Try to form, never have desserts at a steak house. Usually mundane. But here is a warning! Pay attention, be ware of the cost of the vegetables and potatoes a la carte. The menu price of a baked potato was more the $12.00 as was almost all the offerings. Really, the selection was sparse and if I had a vegetarian guest, the guest would have gone home hungry,
I wonder what happened here. I've had great meals in the not so recent past. Service was poor because of the demands imposed on workers. Even though it was more than half empty, we had to look for our servers more than once. Otherwise nothing happened.
The bar has became more like a sports bar than that of a good stake house.
Outstanding experience overall. Out server, Alex, was top notch. The host was very welcoming and hospitable. These people know how to do steaks. Our meals were delicious. We celebrated our 20+ wedding anniversary here do are glad we dined here once again. Keep up the great work!
I do not know how to rate this page. My sister and I have dinner at Morton´s: a rib eye, a rack of lamb, cream spinach and spinach with mushrooms. We have not have lunch that day. The night was terrible for us. Both of us have a terrible stomach sickness, terrible diarrea the whole night, fever and clamps.
This was not my first time at Morton´s, I used to love it.
Mortons is always great experience.
Tucked away in a business tower in Brickell, it whisk youaway from the hustle and bustle of Miami and allows you to unwind with great food, and good service. The must-haves are the bacon wrapped scallops, crab cakes, and cajun rubbed rib eye.
I was expecting a better place to celebrate my wife's birthday but I was wrong,
Upon our arrival, no one was at the front to greet us.
I was told that our menus will have my wife's name on it which they didn't at first. Waitress handed us menus with out her name. I then explained to her that I was told it would have her name on it.
I also had reservation for 7 and was told it was for 5 only. My party sat down at 9:12pm and it took and 1 hr to get the appetizers out and 2 hrs in total for the meal to come out. We left the restaurant at approximately 11:40 which through off the remaining plans I had. Restaurant was empty for the food to take that long. Some of our friends got their steaks medium cooked and it came out burned on the edges. The table that we were sitting on was falling apart. Forks and knives kept falling down to the ground.
Everything was spoke to the manager on scene who was very generous to give us a discount . I think the place is not all that for the price we pay for our diner. Definitely won't be returning to this restaurant in which I was looking forward to.
I've been to several Morton's around the Northeast US. They are consistently excellent. The Morton's in Miami is no exception. My wife and I were in Miami to pick up a cruise ship and celebrate our anniversary. The food and ambiance were second to none. I highly recommend Morton's.
