Neither the food nor service were worthy of the almost $800 price tag for 5 people (no dessert). My $62 New York Strip steak ( almost $80 with tax and gratuity) was cold. So were the Truffle Fries which we asked to have warmed and then 10 minutes later needed to remind the waiter we had not gotten back. Service, including cocktails, was not attentive, and I believe they left our food sitting. No excuse for that.
The salads three of us had, and oysters on the half shell two of my guests had, were very good. But the main meal entrees and sides really broke down.
All in all I was disappointed. I have always loved the ambiance and food at Morton’s. But that night it was clearly off.
I sincerely recommend that Landry’s management observe the much better quality of food and service at competitor Jeff Ruby’s down the street, and encourage the Louisville Morton’s staff to recommit to excellence. That is what keeps people coming back.
I have not been to Morton’s in a while, I had forgotten how good the food was. Everything was absolutely amazing!
Disappointed in the steak. It was average. We had 10 people and the bill was $1400 (not much alcohol). When spending $140 per plate I expect an exceptional meal.
Our meal was amazing!! We loved the whole experience. Service was top notch. Would definitely eat there again.
Everything was fantastic. Food, Service, Drinks. Our waiter Johnathan was just an outstanding young man. I wish I made enough money to go there every week!
We went to dinner at Morton's for our first wedding anniversary and unfortunately did not enjoy our visit. The service was beyond incredible! From the host, server, pulling out the table to sit, photo, decoration on the table and personalized menu. The bread, sides and red wine was wonderful, although my meal was not. My husband ordered a cajun steak which was incredible, although my steak was overcooked and came out well done instead of medium plus. The manager continued putting the new one on the grill four more times until it came out well done and crispy. For a filet mignon I was very surprised and could not even make myself eat it. I had to eat my side dishes off of a side plate, but was never able to eat my main entree. I would not recommend this restaurant unfortunately and hope this does not happen to anyone else on such a special event.
Excellent food and great service.
The noise level was very loud, couldn't hear people at my table very well.
An excellent experience overall. Our server was really attentive and normally would rate at 5, but we have actually had even better service on previous trips so dropped it just a bit. We do Morton’s every 4-6 months and while worth the price, can’t really say it is a 5 on Value. More special occasion unless you are eating at the bar(which is a great option!)
Went with my girls to have dinner. Ordered chilled jumbo shrimp, iceberg wedge salad, 6 oz filet mignon, creamed spinach
I the jumbo shrimp was somewhat tough, seemed to have been over cooked.
The salad could have used more dressing.
Creamed spinach was a bit too soggy.
The steak was not all that
I have been there before and this is not the usual taste I was expecting.
Great food and service as usual.
The food was outstanding and the service provided by August and those who assisted him was impeccable. Morton’s leaves nothing to desire.
We went to take advantage of the Lenten lobster special they were having. Lobster was prepared to perfection.
Compliments to a great staff - from the initial greeting to settling the check. Kerry our server was superb and professional in every way! Bravo!
Celebrating a birthday
Excellent service and great food. This was my 5th time there in the past 10 years. First class restaurant. Highly recommend.
August, our server, was fantastic. It was a very special occasion for our employee and he was great.
Everyone was very nice and accommodating
Our meal was very good, steaks were great, chocolate lava cake was tasty. Good service which was attentive but not intrusive.
From our entrance to exit VERY GOOD
Debbie - the amazing person who served me is a real pro. I cannot give her enough props for her service. The food was good but continues to not be as good as Morton's was before being purchased by Landry's. The steak seemed smaller and not as flavorful. I ate at Jeff Ruby's two nights before and the steak was amazing but they didn't have Debbie.....
Our server, a woman attending Nursing school, (I cannot remember names for my life) was exceptional!
service was very good
food was great
will be going again
Lived up to the billing!
That staff was simply amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable about all aspects of the restaurant. The steaks were out of the world, the best I have ever had. The desserts were also incredible
Great steak and always enjoy their souffle dessert.
Extremely LOUD and very difficult to have a conversation as well as being unable to hear our waiter as he was explaining the specials and menu items. For the price definitely not worth the money spent. We will not be returning. Table was full of crumbs from bread throughout our entire meal. Definitely not up to their price point standards.
Excellent time! Food was perfect and the service was top notch.
Our server was knowledgeable and shared the daily specials. She was prompt in her service and accuracy of our food. The food is always fresh and cooked just right! We love Morton’s♥️
Great service and quiet setting for a week day date night!
Perfect as always!
Great experience! We added a note to the reservation that we had a theater deadline and the entire staff was spot on in giving us a great dining experience and getting us out on time without rushing us. Kerry was very helpful in helping us select our dishes and in being a friendly but not too intrusive server. Will definitely return again soon!
Very attentive service. Excellent food. High beer prices though.
Morton's dinner special initially attracted us and the restaurant is convenient to the Kentucky Center for the Arts where we had tickets to a play that night.
Nice ambience, great service, but quite honestly just not worth the prices they charge for food and drinks.
Unfortunately, the restaurant that brags for being known for steaks doesn’t have cooks who know how to cook them properly. My wife’s filet was very rare. She ordered medium. They took it back and when she cut into it, it was still on the rare side. If you are going to charge $50 for a steak then hire a cook that knows how to cook them. Our server never checked on the steak and didn’t even know it was sent back! We sent it back with another server because we didn’t see our server for quite some time. There are too many restaurants downtown to put up with this nonsense.
Treated very well on our anniversary. Made ya feel special. Food was outstanding
Very nice restaurant. We had a large party and it took extremely long to get our food. A 6:30 reservation ended at 10pm. We still enjoyed the visit and the service made up for it.
We visited your restaurant last Saturday.. this is the 2nd time we have been there and we will not be back.. the steak had to be sent back, it was not cooked to the temperature requested and it had no flavor. The ceasar salaldnhad a fishy taste to the dressing. It was disgusting. I wish I would of known. I complained to the waiter but wasn’t offered anything else. The service was very slow... I expected a lot more for the price of your meals. I would of rather eaten a Texas Roadhouse.
Food is unflavorful. Potatoes were dry even with extra butter.
