Need to book at 7:00 PM?Other great restaurants with availability.
This was our first time dining at Morton’s. Service and food were great.
Atmosphere is great, our server was spectacular- the food however was not tasty. The salad was not awful but was bland for blue cheese dressing. The steak was just plain terrible. No flavor, period. Looked like it was broiled not cooked in anything but water. The color was off and the taste too. I will say for the price I will not return.
Overall a good experience, but at $200 for 2 people I would expect everything to be pristine. Our experience was that everything was overcooked. Probably won’t return as other steakhouses such as Jeff Ruby’s and The Rickhouse are superior.
The service was excellent we never had to ask for anything the servers were very attentive and everything was awesome.
First time dining here. Our waitress was polite and prompt. Food was good but not great. Over all it was a nice night out but probably won’t be dining there again.
We celebrated my birthday at Morton’s in Louisville. Tiffany provided excellent service, the food was delicious, and the extra details for my birthday were most appreciated. Morton’s attention to detail is always first class!
Granddaughters Birthday. She love Morton’s.
Why would anyone go to any other steakhouse in Louisville? Morton’s is excellent! Server was extremely knowledgeable, steaks were cooked to perfection, and cocktails were superb.
Meal was very good as normal. Wish the drinks were just a bit cheaper. This is Louisville KY, not NYC or Chicago.
Always good food & ambiance. My only knock would be that it's a little pricey.
We must have caught our server on a bad night. Otherwise, Morton's is usually a hit!
Morton’s, even as a chain, remains the top steakhouse in the city. Being downstairs limits cell phone usage but your there to eat and enjoy your company, so no big deal. Food is top notch, had the bone in ribeye, wife had the lamb. Both were perfectly prepared. It’s the go to when you want a great dinner.
First time and last.
We went for our 5 year anniversary. We ended up asking to be moved to a different seating area due to the noise. The place is beautiful and has a great romantic feel. The food was not what I expected for the price we paid but was ok. Service was good but nothing over the top. There are a few upscale places to eat and I’d prefer those over this one but overall it was a good experience.
Will not be back. It was way overpriced, it was too dark. I didn’t care for it.
I love this place, food is delicious and the stuff is beyond great! Highly recommend.
We always like going to Morton's but this time we only have one comment. The steaks were cooked properly on the inside but the outside was burnt. We didn't care for that.
The server was excellent and the rest of the meal was fine.
Had reservation for 5:30 p.m. as we were going to football game that started at 8 p.m. Arrived on time. Ordered wine. Server took our order. At 6:35pm we asked about our order. We got it about 20 minutes later. Since Morton's has a dress code, we needed to walk back to the Gault House to change in to our casual football clothing and catch a cab to the stadium. So when we did receive our food everyone felt rushed to finish. Some left scallops, etc. behind. So we were not able to casually enjoy our dinner as we had planned. They ladies left to return to hotel as men paid checks. Needless to say, we did not see kickoff.
Drinks and food was very good. I asked for a sample of the potatoes before ordering a baked potato. The waiter said that he would ask the cook. He later returned and said that they couldn’t give a sample. I just wanted a small (about one or two small slices) sample. I didn’t think that this would be a problem since the both of us was eating and drinking.
Waitstaff and Management go out of their way to ensure you have a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended.
Always great food and excellent service (Derick)
Everyone from the host, to the entire wait staff, to the chef (that came to our table twice) made our experience memorable! We were celebrating our daughter heading off to university and we could not have been happier that we chose to go to Morton’s! The food was phenomenal, but more than that, each of every person who works there is focused on making the patrons happy and fulfilled. We WILL be back!
Quality of food was disappointing. Very bland. Salmon was very wet. Lemon drop Martini was amazing!!! If we return it would be to sit at the bar.
Never had a bad meal there, and this was no exception. The staff was attentive without ever hovering, and the food was first rate. The light levels are low, so if you need readers occasionally, you definitely will here.
We had not been to Morton's in years. We decided to go because it was close to where we were watching Hamilton. Let me start by saying that the service couldn't have been better. We never had to ask for anything. We ordered a salad to split. Our server suggested that we split a salad because they are so large. My husband ordered the Cajun Ribeye Steak. He loved the flavor and said it was cooked perfectly. I ordered the Salmon. It was also cooked perfectly. We ordered Asparagus and Twice Baked Potatoes for sides. They were very large sides. We could only eat half of each. I saved room for their Raspberry souffle. I remember loving the souffle from Morton's. However, I was very disappointed that it was not cooked properly. It was very runny. This is the only reason why I gave a 4 star review.
Dined before seeing Hamilton . Staff was very courteous and helpful .
The food was excellent, as always. However, this dining experience was not as good as previous encounters. Our server was slow and inattentive.
Morton's continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in Louisville. The food is fantastic. The service is the great best and they always treat us well. This visit was for Fathers day but is always our first thought when celebrating a special occasion. We highly recommend you ask for Debbie as your server. She willm insure your dinning experience is one to remember.
Thanks to the staff of Morton's for making Father's day special.
Great food. Great service
Perfect meal in quiet location. Waiter was friendly and explained the specials to us. We came with a mailer and an ad on the web site, both of which were honored.
Tiffany was wonderful. The meal was excellent as always!
Morton's is always great. Steaks were cooked to perfection and the staff got us out on time to see Hamilton!
Had an awesome pre Hamilton dinner. Got there early to take advantage of the specials in the bar area. Good prices on really good food. Then a couple of us had a bone in ribeye which was amazing. Our server Carey made a special night even better.
Nice atmosphere with a really nice bar selection , food was good but mediocre . I personally had better steaks from outback or longhorns . It was a good experience but I wouldn’t recommend . Ruth Chris will be my next experience
Service was great! They knew we needed to get to a show and timed everything beautifully we did not feel rushed even though we had a time frame. The food was delicious! Sides are huge - more than enough for two people.
The service was great! Our server was very attentive and the place was packed! The food was delicious! I love the horseradish mashed potatoes....so yummy! And we ended the night with the hot chocolate molten cake. So good!
The shrimp cocktail, grilled asparagus, and lemon soufflé were amazing. The lobster bisque, potato, and filets were just OK. I would recommend for wine and appetizers but not the entrees we had. Our bill for 2 was $200, and I expect much more for this amount. Disappointing since the beef is what they specialize in.
Morton’s is a great place to celebrate special events. My wife and I were celebrating our 10 year anniversary, and not only did they congratulate us on arrival, as well as throughout the evening, but they also printed our own menus and had small anniversary decorations on the table. We also ended the night with a free dessert in honor of our anniversary! The 2 reasons I am not giving a 5 star rating is because 1) My steak was over cooked and 2) Our server seemed to disappear at times. Overall, a wonderful experience and we will be back!
Nothing really exciting here. Filet is exceptional, ribeye a let down. Little value in appetizers, cold plates skimpy. Too many other better options.
