Cajun Ribeye Steak
Warm Steak Salad
Hype . Food wasn’t as tasty. Overpriced . No parking .
Our server Alicia was truly amazing, and the food was perfect. I’ll be back soon!
The service was very disappointing. However, the food was delicious. It's very difficult to park there.
Parking is very challenging! We strongly recommend that if you are not familiar with downtown Los Angeles, do your homework if you’re planning on driving.
Great service, and the food was delicious.
My sever CheyAnn was amazing she was so wonderful & kind.
Waitress was a little slow but other than that e everything was great
The steaks were pretty good, obviously, but not mind-blowing.
The sides were disappointing. My asparagus was overcooked and came drenched in some sauce that was not mentioned on the menu.
The worst aspect was that the entire dining room was really warm. Everyone at our table was sweating. It really detracted from our enjoyment significantly.
The servers were perfectly kind, knowledgeable, and unintrusive.
All in all - meh. I don't mind spending big bucks on a great meal experience, but this was just not worth it.
Sorry to be a downer.
Will not consider to go back. Food quality poor, service is not up to standard for this kind of food cost.
Will share to everyone I know
Morton's used to be our go to for great steak. Since going corporate things have declined. Higher prices and lower quality meat. A stupid dress code (in California, really?). They turned away my party of 5 bc I was wearing slides. They also stopped serving prime rib. That may have stopped a while ago but was so good. Seems like another chain that is going to fall prey to the corporate number crunchers. Disappointing. The service was amazing though.
The food was GREAT and our waiter CheyAnn was the best!
Came for an early dinner, food and service was wonderful great birthday
A lot of mistakes with our orders and they charge us with something we didn't ask.
I ORDER THE PORK CHOP AND MY PLATE WAS MISSING THE MASHED POTATOES
IT WAS INCOMPLETED
Had a nice quiet dinner. Our server was very professional and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our dinner.
Food was not good for the money I paid! Mashed potatoes dry, pork chops had no flavor. Best part of meal was appetizer and salad. Will not return.
Decent! Definitely a great place to go if you can’t find reservations at another steakhouse. While Morton’s is a renowned dining institution, the one in downtown Los Angeles is a little bit lacking compared to their other dining experiences. My aunt is the GM for the downtown Chicago location, these just do not compare. You could learn a thing or two from the rest of your restaurants!!! Service feels rushed and there definitely isn’t the focus on freshness in ingredients as you have in the other locations.
It was a great time. Peter, our waiter, was outstanding. He described the food and drinks very well. Very knowledgeable and patient.
Our waiter Joey was very attentive. Outstanding service!
It was amazing! Our waiter was great really friendly, nice, polite. The food was delicious
The meal was amazing. Everything was delicious. Very pricey.
Slow service and overall quality of food was not up to par.
Great place to eat food was phenomenal definitely would recommend this restaurant
Unfortunately our server was very inexperienced as a server for Morton's. We have been longtime customers and have never experienced such poor service. We had to get management involved. Food was excellent not sure if i woulld go to Los Angeles again
Unfortunately my dad was 18 min to our reservation on Father’s Day. As I waited for him and my stepmom to arrive since incomplete parties could not be seated, the hostess insisted that there is a 15 min grace period and after that there was no exceptions and our reservation would be forfeited. I would understand if they were completely booked, but they were not. I would understand if there was a table limit, but there wasn’t. My dad has been going to Morton’s for longer than I’ve been alive, and the hostess was bizarrely stuck in her ways. We had asked to see the manager several times, and she kept leaving and coming back still just her. Eventually my father ended up talking to someone, and she begrudgingly sat us.
In theory, if there is no table limit (which we understand since covid times and maximum capacity restrictions) then what does it matter if part of the party is late? And since covid restrictions have been lifted, there was no real social distancing between tables and the restaurant was half empty. It just felt incredibly robotic and bizarre that this woman would not budge.
The food was amazing. And our waiter was knowledgeable and lovely. Wish the lamb chops were back.
My food took 2hours to get to our table food was good. You need more help and cooks
I love the ambiance!! the food was Amazingly delicious. Our server Sean was very pleasant and professional:) I will definitely be back!!
Ordered the Tomahawk, medium-well and it was delicious. Pokè, meatballs and lobster mac’n cheese were also good. Our first time at Morton’s and it did not disappoint.
I have never been to the restaurant so I wanted to do something special for my Father. He loves it! And the server was amazing! Will definitely be back!
great food, great service, wonderful ambience, location in DTLA very convenient, pricy but you are getting really excellent food and drinks in a wonderful sit down atmostphere
I went to celebrate my birthday with my family that comes from San Diego CA, we wanted a quite place since I’m pregnant and have anxiety to the most. So I’ve been to the Morton’s in SD and it is quite and relaxing. First off the service was amazing! Our waiter was amazing! Now what happened inside there with another party that was in the VIP room was horrible. Two girls inside the VIP room got in a fist fight and they were being extremely loud being in a 5 star restaurant. While the fight broke out instead of escorting them outside they let them stay and continue the fight and to top it off they came out of room and continue the fight inside the restaurant. I was so stressed and didn’t even finish my food. The manager was nice enough to give us a discount being that our table was right next to the door of the VIP room. Never again will I return there.
AMAZING AS ALWAYS!!!
Steaks were outstanding as was the service throughout.
Our waiter, Grace was awesome, and some staff checked on us as well to make sure that my date and I were doing great.
The Medium Rare Ribeye Steak was cooked perfectly. It was tender and juicy inside, and was just a little charred on the outside.
The Lobster Mac and Cheese was rich, heart, and full of flavor.
The onion soup had just the right amount of saltiness, and was on point!
The Crab Cake was even better than the ones I had in Baltimore. The entire piece was all crab meat, and I could hardly taste any breading in it. The yellow sauce that came with it was heavenly! It had a perfect combination the bitterness of mustard and the sweetness of honey.
The Creme brûlée was great! It had the right amount of sweetness and perfectly smooth texture with the thin coat of crispy sugar on top.
We both really enjoyed the birthday celebration. Everything was perfect. Thank you so much for making the birthday celebration a memorial one.
I love the place, my salmon was exquisite
We had such a great time!!!!
Food was super bland with small portions
I was very disappointed. I eat at many great restaurants looking for a juicy steak
I always get top menu steak and definitely rib eye or filet.
I quietly told the manager that my steak was tough yet I ask for steak to be cooked medium. He said he was sorry and nothing else.
My daughter just graduated high school and now on her way to University of california irvine , so I wanted her to enjoy.
A party of 5 none of us ate everything. We decided to leave and still left a great tip because that's how we sow positive seed..
I'm a grateful successful Doctor and CEO , however I'm African American and simply felt uncomfortable telling them the food was not great during my dining experience.
I simply did not want anything to be wrong with my food and I did not want to be stereotyped.
Hope others have a better experience.
I was at the restaurant t dining as an out of town-we, visiting from Chicago. My experience at the Morton’s Steakhouse in Chicago was a pleasure. My expectations were set high for LA . I was highly disappointed. No one was there to greet us upon arrival, I was given hamburger buns as an alternative for bread rolls, my steak was undercooked and had to be returned.
