Dined at Morton's for lunch during dineL.A. I had the ribeye and my wife had the shrimp scampi. They had some nice options so it was a good value. Don't really like a thin ribeye and would never order it again but it was cooked perfectly. My wife enjoyed the shrimp scampi...especially the pasta. It was pretty crowded at lunch so the noise level was high. Our waitress Laura was terrific. She took the time to go over the menu and was quite attentive in spite of being busy. The one criticism I have is about the maître de or manager. Didn't say anything when he seated us...not a smile, or "enjoy your meal" and did not check with us at any time to see if everything was OK. Even at casual family restaurants the managers/maître des are generally pleasant. At a fine dining restaurant like Morton's in downtown L.A. I would expect much better service from the maître de. Very disappointed particularly when I observed him being quite attentive and engaged with another couple.

I am sad to say I was very disappointed with this visit. I have been here many times and have walked away happy each time but this time was different. Our server was pleasant but very slow. We got water and waited 10 minutes for the bread. It took another 10 minutes to get our order in which was beef tacos, a baked potato and Brussels sprouts. We waited 45 minutes before anyone even came and asked us if we wanted more water. Then we were told a private party had backed up the kitchen and our order was being prepared now. So it took over an hour to get a baked potato, Brussels sprouts and the lunch special. No apologies given. I wasn't expecting a quick lunch. I just didn't expect subpar service, excuses and to feel like my patronage didn't matter.

It was a nice New Year’s eve, they had party favors for the countdown. Intimate setting, and the service was good.

This Morton's isn't nearly the restaurant it used to be. The quality of the food leaves a lot to be desired especially for the price.

Our server forgot about us - waited 45 minutes for waters and for our appetizers. Management handled everything extremely well, and made it right! Will be back for the Cajun ribeye - this steak alone made everything worth the wait.

The appetizers and sides were nothing fantastic. We had the bacon wrapped scallops, big crab cake, lobster bisque, and asparagus... they were all, meh. I felt i made a mistake choosing Mortons, and after all of the raving rwviews.
The steak was amazingly cooked, and taste very good. It redeemed tblhe evening.
Servers were very nice.

We had reservations at 7:30 and were seated right away. But after that everything took SO long. The waters, the menus, the food, the check, I could go on. The whole dining experience was a little more than 2 hours long. But more than half of it was sitting and waiting. For what we were paying I expected more. We ordered the filet mignon and the prime ribeye with fries, au gratin, and Brussels sprouts. The food itself was not bad but we were so hungry we ended up filling up on the bread at the table.

Overall, I would not come back here and will be going to other steak houses.

Maybe it was different because it was Christmas Eve, but I've heard so much about how great this place is... Bad 1st impression. Messed up order 3 times. 3 apologies about forgetting things and items taken off bill at end. But bill was still greatly higher than the worth compared to many other fine dining experiences. Drinks were good, maybe should have chosen from the extensive wine list. This place has got to be better on another visit, I'm sure of it.

The dining experience was great overall. Our server, Victor, was well-versed with Morton’s menu and made fabulous recommendations. The restaurant lighting was a bit on the dim side though but that did not prevent my family and I from enjoying the evening celebrating my son’s 11th birthday.

Service and food are always great, but the noise level is always annoying. I would not call it 'energetic' as one of the options you gave above. It is very noisy and hard to hear your own conversation. That would be my only negative comment. You need to do some soundproofing.

I went thinking it would be a quieter restaurant and it wasn't. For some reason the noise level went up making it hard to hear. Otherwise I was very happy with the food and service.

Wonderful experience from beginning to end! I would say the only con is the parking. The valet closed at 10pm so we felt a little rushed to move forward with the evening. Our server Earl was fantastic. Charming and witty. Recommendations for drinks and our meal were spectacular. The Jalisco Mule was delicious. Perfect amount of tequila balanced with fresh muddled berries and just enough ginger beer for taste. The standouts of the meal were the Cajun ribeye and the lobster Mac and cheese. 3 Days later and I’m still thinking about it! The steak was perfect. Soft, juicy, and the Cajun rub was just so flavorful. The Mac and cheese had delicious chunks of lobster smothered in cheese. Enough said!! Love DTLA and this is just one more delicious reason to venture out. 🥂

Food was overpriced for what it was. Lettuce withered and brown. Ahi was way over priced for what it was. And it had veins. Would not expect this for $30 salad.

We were in vacation for Thanksgiving and decided to splurge on a nice steakhouse meal. I live in NYC and have been to some of the best steakhouses and Morton’s was a real disappointment. Very pricey, a sales pitch at every course even when getting the check. Tried to get us to sign up for some club membership. The “Morton” salad was completely bland. We asked for balsamic to help the taste but should have sent it back. Steaks were ok but not what I have experienced in a quality steakhouse like Sparks or Keans. All and all a holiday let down.

My wife, two children and I had a great time at this establishment. The staff was very conscious about my son's disability, as well as showing my wife a good time for her birthday. The food was great, as usual. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant for others. It was a great stop before going to the Laker game!

Hosted my friend to lunch celebrating her 10th "work-anniversary " Ordered the Beet and Goat Cheese salad and added grilled Shrimp. Wow, that was wonderful!! So sorry I didn't take a picture, because it was both pleasing to the eye as well as the palate. My friend ordered the short rib tacos and was equally impressed.

Waiter forgot to bring out truffle sauce. Billed us then when asked for item to be removed they wouldn’t be able to get it done without charging us twice. Complimentary drink was offered but by then we had had too much time waiting for each phase. Of the dining experience and just wanted to leave

Service tends to be slow and deliberate. Waitress tried to 'up sell' everything to an obvious length asking the guests to try this and that without regard to whom was hosting the table. Steaks were an uneven presentation, one guest had overcooked meat, another had a tough and chewy slab, while a third guest found the steak extremely fatty. Sides ranged from good to mushy and hospital-like. The 'lobster mashed potatoes had no more than two small chunks of lobster in them. Wine was so under-poured that we inquired whether we were getting a tasting serving as opposed to a full glass. Ultimately, it was an uneven experience for my guests and considering the extremely hefty tab, one would have expected the oysters on the half-shell to be better cleaned and less sandy. As LA has many more exciting steakhouses, many of which offer better quality and more honest drink pours, other options should be explored.
