It was great
Steak was slightly over cooked, they replaced it no problems. Very good service and response to this issue. We would eat there again.
We celebrated a birthday and they made it absolutely wonderful. We had customized menus with a happy birthday message and the service on par. The food was even better. Definitely would recommend.
We were greeted (by Richard ?) as we entered. Francisco the manager was very friendly and made sure our table was was OK being next to a very large and loud table at the bar.
Eric the manager greeted us at the door. We sat at the bar and Clay the bartender served us. Both were great and continued to check in on us throughout the night.
Amazing food, amazing service, amazing environment
Porterhouse was over cooked
Filet Oscar.. .perfect. potatoes lyonnaise.. Perfect.
Always a treat to go to Morton's. Great food and great service.
Server has our orders all mixed up. Raw Oysters full of cracked inside on meat. The port chop was tough. We were celebrating a birthday and the waitress bought out the dessert with the candle while some of us were gone to the bathroom. It was just terrible timing.
The food was absolutely amazing, but, unfortunately, that is the only compliment and good thing about our experience. We all came from out of town and decided to have my boyfriend's 40th birthday dinner here. We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated, even though we had already told the hostess we were there. After being seated and having the menus just placed in a stack in an empty seat, we waited for 25 minutes with no water and no service. I finally had to ask for the manager, who did apologize at least got us waters. However, it was another 10 minutes or so before we saw our waitor who was not happy to see us nor helpful at all. He constantly disappeared from the table; He huffed and puffed when he asked if we needed separate checks (which we later found out the restaurant did not do, but why ask us or provide it as an option if it was not); and he never once apologized for his absence or the horrible service. The manager said he would "take care of us," which we thought was normal since we had had such a horrific experience. However, when the bill came, our bill was EXACTLY the same with no discounts (after we waited 20 minutes for the manager to sort out what kind of discount he wanted to give us). In the end, he did end up taking a portion of our alcohol off. However, our bill (not including the entire party, just for my boyfriend and me) was still $200 that included some of the worst service I ever had. AND to top it off, they NEVER acknowledged my boyfriend's birthday. We ended up being there for over 3 hours, and I promise I will never go again. Not even for the food. Needless to say, we will be contacting corporate about this terrible experience.
The service was impeccable. The food fabulous as ever. All in al it was a fantastic experience.
I work across the street and it is very convenient for lunch. Their offering are competitively prices and so much better than anyone in the 7th and Figueroa area.
Perfect the service. We were 7 at the table. The waiter was very kind and in all the dinner she did the best effort to bring an excelent service. The food, amazing. I am quite sure that the cows were happy cows. See you soon.
Gerry greeted me when I arrived and was friendly as usual. Our waiter (Cal) provided great service and checked in on us regularly even though the bar area was quite busy yesterday. No complaints on the food - it's always great.
I had the filet mignon, sour cream mashed potatoes, and chocolate lava cake and everything was delicious. This was my second time eating at Morton's and that's because the food was so delicious the first time. The service is also surprisingly fast and the waiters are friendly and helpful.
Everythings of this restaurant are awesome! So friendly staff, nice foods and good wine pairing! That’s so nice experience for me!
It was a wonderful surprise when I celebrated my birthday at the Morton's. Jerry and his Team made it extra special and everyone was very accommodating when my Guest list got bigger at the last moment. I appreciate the great Rib Eye Steak and looking forward to coming soon again. Thank you!
I had a wonderful time for my birthday. They took a picture of me and my date and had it framed it and everything before we had even finished dinner and I love that! They also specialized the menu to say happy birthday Bethany at the top of each of our menu’s. I also enjoyed the complimentary birthday dessert! They definitely made my birthday feel special.
Great dinner and date
Morton’s always delivers. I stopped in before attending the King’s game at the Staples Center. Service was prompt and quick and just what we needed as we were trying to get to the stadium with time to spare. Thanks!
I must commend the manager to hustle and get the wine selection we wanted.
At first he said it was not available. When I informed him that this was the third time they have told me that the wine I selected was not available, he hustled and got me one.
Great, romantic place. Food is good and a varied selection of drinks.
We are on vacation from the UK and absolutely loved our food and service from Morton’s.
Once inside, everything was great. However I expected valet when I arrived only to find it was discontinued two months ago. I had to park in the structure quite a distance from the restaurant and walk by myself at night (I am 5’ tall) in a dress and heels to the restaurant. I find this unacceptable and sadly, will not return to Morton’s because of it.
EJ was a vast improvement over our last experience, May 11, 2019.
We felt ignored on a couple of occasions.
entre was served but we had no knives.
Excellent food and server Timothy was great. However, there wasn’t any valet parking and we had to park and walk about a block and 1/2 away from the restaurant. I’m somewhat limited mobility wise and this was an inconvenience !!
a group of four of us went for the twin lobster tails special. we were a bit disappointed with the quality of the shellfish. the steaks and everything else was great.
also our server seemed a little distracted. not the attention to detail I expect when I come to your restaurant.
Outstanding food, service and ambiance. Jerry, the general manager, always comes up to greet us and makes us feel welcome. It is a very good place for a business lunch.
Jerry the General Manager and Derrick our server were awesome. Great dining experience and amazing food, as usual.
Loved the service and the food . The drinks were kinda strong but overall.i would definitely go back
A nice Friday business lunch appointment at the bar area.
It was a special meeting with my dear friend couple who came from overseas. I requested a round table to be able to talk everyone, but we got a rectangular table. Food was good as always. Service was good. It was too dark to see their menu and food. I’m sure their customers are pretty much old crowds..we hope they could have more lights in there, so we can see the menu and friends faces.
Our server was great. So sad I don’t remember his name. But aside from that, they make the birthday person feel special with custom menus, a picture and a special dessert. Happy to celebrate birthdays there!
Food was average at best. The broccoli seemed steamed rather than sautéed. The Horseradish mashed potatoes were barely warm. Steak was just average. Not much better than an average chain steakhouse.
I made a reservation for 1:15 p.m. We were only 2 minutes late due to the parking structure construction. We were told because we were late that we had to wait 5 to 10 minutes for another table. We ended up waiting for 15 to 20 minutes!!!! While we noticed open tables. I had to go to the host and tell him we are ready to be seated that there are empty tables and there had been empty tables all along. When we finally got seated we still had to wait another 15 minutes for the server to come over. We placed our order and waited way too long for our salads to come out. I was only able to eat two forks of my salad because my salad was too wilted. I dare not return it because who knows how long that was going to take?? No complaints on our entrees. Delicious!!! While our server was doing his best he was not too attentive. I had to flag him down and ask for a refill on my ice tea. He goes to the kitchen only to return to tell me there is no more ice tea that they ran out!!!!! At this point I asked him to box the rest of my lunch and pack my dessert to go and bring me the check. Which he did promptly. I say things things only to have better service the next visit. Thank you
$25 for a three-course lunch at Morton's sounded too good to be true and it was. We were seated 25 min after our reservation, our wine took forever to get to our table once we ordered it, the Lobster bisque had one small piece of Lobster and the steak looked more like sirloin than ribeye. The restaurant is beautiful though.
The DineLA steak menu was a good value. We liked how they had a variety of options from salmon to steak which included mashed potatoes and wonderful dessert (and salad)! Unfortunately our server was below average. Although she took our order immediately, she did not come to give us bread until we flagged down a manager closest to us (because she was not making eye contact). The steak flavor was great and the 9 oz. portion for lunch was generous although I prefer thicker cut than wider. My friend had to have the chocolate lava cake remade because she is allergic to raspberries (we knowingly chose this with a $6 upcharge). When she came with the new cake, my friend was half way through eating it and her cake did not have the chocolate lava center. Our server offered another which she declined because it would take another 15 minutes to make. When she gave our check, she didn’t even offer to remove the $6 up charge which was annoying. She did offer her a different dessert to take home. Overall, because of our poor service. Our experience was mediocre!
I look forward to my once a year DTLA dining. It is a great opportunity to visit restaurants I wouldn't otherwise be able to afford for lunch. Love Morton's. Looking forward to next year.
