Morton's The Steakhouse - King of Prussia Ratings and Reviews
We go to Morton's regularly for special occasions. This time it was Valentine's Day. We were treated like it was our anniversary and they took a photo of us (at no cost). The food was excellent as usual with all of the normal menu items with the exception of Oysters Rockerfeller, which is replaced with grilled oysters that seemed to just have some parmesan type cheese on top. I always get the Rockerfeller so I was disappointed to see it removed. That is my only negative to the review, otherwise the meal and service were outstanding as usual.
The menu is a la carte which makes for a sort of pricey dinner. your paying more for the experience and the name versus the actual food. Don't get me wrong the steak and the crab cakes were awesome, but had similar at a less pricey restaurant. All in all it was a nice experience.
Awesome ,Awesome , Awesome We had a great time the waiter was on point at every turn. His recommendations were excellent and even the Two floor managers were great even if he did not make my desert . If I could use only five words they would be YOU HAVE TO GO HERE
Went on Valentine's Day which is not a great example of a Restaurant's true performance. The staff was more than up to the task and I thought everyone did a great job. The food was perfect as was the service. I expect a lot from a spot like Morton's and they delivered in every aspect. Oh yeah.....I asked her to marry me there and she said yes so there is that:)
Morton's has definitely gone down hill since it became part of Landry's. The prices are outrageous for what you get. I could have bought a bag of salad & a filet at the Acme & not seen a difference in the quality. Skimpy drinks. No presentation. People dressed as if they were ready to clean out the garage. Lots of new restaurants on KoP. Get real!
We enjoy Morton's and this is our go-to restaurant for our anniversary every year. We are always delighted with the service and selection and this time was no different. The restaurant has a "special" anniversary menu, they snap a photo to take home and offer a complimentary dessert for anniversaries. It is a very nice touch! For soup and salad, my husband had the Lobster Bisque and I had the Chopped Spinach Salad. Both were delicious. The soup was the smoothest creamy texture that we ever tasted. I especially the bacon vinaigrette dressing on the salad; just enough without having to ask to adjust the amount. For our main course, we shared the Lobster Mac & Cheese and a 36 oz Ribeye; both were excellent. And, of course, the onion bread is absolutely delicious. We took home our New York Style Cheesecake and enjoyed later in the evening. This was a Wednesday evening so the restaurant was less crowded and less noisy. Our waiter, Glenn, was absolutely fantastic; we hope he stays so we can request him for our next visit! We could not have asked for a better celebration for our 37th Wedding anniversary.
My husband and I were out for a special evening without the kids. I usually only dine at the Baltimore locations for work functions, but living in Bucks County, we decided to make the trip to KOP and enjoy a nice evening out. The food was phenomenal. I highly recommend the lobster bisque to start. We also had the short rib tacos as an appetizer. They were very good. We each had a steak, my filet with blue cheese butter and my husband’s Diane style...both out of this world. We shared the Brussels sprouts and horseradish potatoes. We finished with the cheesecake, which was one of the best I’ve had. I will mention that it took a significantly long time to get our food and we were comped the soup and the cheesecake, but our waitress was very attentive and we were satisfied.
Morton’s was amazing! Everything we got was delicious, service was great and the ambiance was quiet yet buzzing. We went for date night and it was a truly enjoyable evening. We left so stuffed we thought someone was going to have to carry us out. Definitely recommended for good food and an intimate dinner!
We had Christmas dinner at Morton’s. We had eaten at this location as well as several others. This location was very convenient being at KOP Mall. On Christmas there was no problem with mall parking, no one was there shopping. We arrived at our reservation time and were immediately seated. My wife asked for a suggestion for a sweetish wine and our waitress suggested a sparkling moscato. She loved it! I ordered the 12 oz filet medium rare. It was perfect. My wife had the pork chop and the only problem (if you could call it that) was that it was huge! It was very good and about half came home. We had the sour cream mashed potatoes along with cream corn. Both were great. Finally, we had the molten chocolate cake. We were stuffed.
Overall, the food was great, the service super, the only problem was the bill. Morton’s is expensive. But I knew it coming in.
There's an old saying that you don't know enough about a new love until you see how he or she reacts to stress. Christmas eve turned out to be rather stressful for our Morton's (a chain which, under Landry's ownership, has a few loose threads not present when Arnie Morton was at the helm). Fortunately, the kitchen & staff at KoP held their own - the food was up to its usual top standard & everyone grinned & bore their loads like the pros they are. But the crowd was either unexpected or managed less than perfectly, with delays in seating & service plus a hard-to-define "hectic" feeling that blunted the usual grace of an evening there. Perhaps walk-ins (of whom there seemed to be many) should have been limited in some way and/or the staff augmented. Or maybe it was just one of those things.
We have been going to Morton’s for years. Every time we book the KoP location, we always have a problem. This time, reservations were for 7:15..Christmas Eve and we didn’t get seated for over an hr. Neither of us enjoy eating a heavy (or any meal for that matter) at 9pm...but that’s exactly what happened. Fully can appreciate a busy restaurant and esp. on Christmas Eve however, almost an hour to wait?.. and if that isn’t bad enough, our bartender had to go and chase down people to get us a table. Super embarrassing. And not like we had any other restaurant options on Christmas Eve....so we were stuck waiting or driving home w.out anything.
Food = very good
Service = very lovely
Eating at 9+ pm.... not what we signed up for
This is not a “real” Morton’s - it’s a restaurant in a mall. And it acts like one in every way. This was not always the case. We have had Christmas Eve dinner there with my in-laws for years. This was the last time. While they tracked me down for a credit card to confirm the reservation, when we arrived, there was no table for us - we waited for 25 minutes. No doubt they seated last minute mall shoppers without thinking of what that might mean later. My steak was overdone. My salad had the pallor of greens that had been sitting in a walk-in for hours. But we paid the Morton’s price tag. Never again.
We were first seated at a table that wobbled terribly. When we mentioned it to a staff member, the said they would fix it and came back (while we were still seated with bread and water on the table) and started to move the table around to figure out which leg was causing the problem. We had arrived 15 minutes early for our 6:15 reservation during a snowy commute and the restaurant had numerous open tables available to accommodate our part of four there to celebrate our daughter's 15th birthday. It wasn't until our server, Dave, came over while the other staffer was still messing with the table that he insisted we move to another table, thankfully.
The food was delicious as usual. The only thing I would suggest is, both on the iceberg salad and the chopped salad, to reduce the amount of bleu cheese crumbles on each a bit. Otherwise we throughly enjoyed everything from bread, to entree to dessert! The truffle oil smashed cauliflower was delicious and the creamed corn (with added crumbled bacon - thanks, Dave!) were both very tasty, and the steaks and seafood did not disappoint! Love the chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce, while the kids enjoyed chocolate ice cream.
While we always enjoy the experience and the meal, I do still feel it's a bit overpriced. That's why this has become special occasion venue for us, rather than a regular go to.
