Morton's The Steakhouse - King of Prussia Ratings and Reviews
Morton’s is just consistent and good. Servers are experienced and helpful. We had grilled oysters and scallops to start. Both were very good, with the scallops going beyond to excellent. Lobster filet combo and lamb chops were entrees, and each was done perfectly to order. We shared a sundae for dessert, and it too was excellent. Good wine, cocktails, and sides. Nothing is inexpensive, but eating there was a treat.
I was very unhappy with my meal ..
I dine here once a year with a girlfriend for our birthdays ..
I ordered the sea bass with miso broth..
In the past I usually get a large thick piece served over
with lots of flavor..
This paled in comparison
It was a fairly thin
not as flavorful and I was surprised at my portion compared to the high price...
I did not complain since the waiter ( stash )
was excellent .. he was a 5 star waiter and I didn’t want to disappoint him with a complaint..
To be fair ..
I asked for their Oyster Rockefeller which was not on the menu..but the chef did prepare it for me special ..and said if I ever want them he would make it for me..
They were also bland and I had to keep adding rock salt to increase the taste..!!
My friend ordered the crab cakes , nothing special and also bland
All in all the food was not superb for price paid..
And I will be searching for another restaurant next year to celebrate ...
Thx for reading ..
My family and I dined at Morton's for a birthday celebration. The service was impeccable, the food was outstanding, and you couldn't tell that you were dining in a restaurant that was located in a mall. They comped the dessert for the birthday honoree which was a pleasant surprise.
I brought my husband for a surprise birthday dinner. I let Morton's know in advance about the celebration, and they really came through. They took our picture at the table, and then they presented it in a handmade card. Of course, the traditional candle came in a beautiful dessert, that was free... and delicious!
I recommend this highly for a special occasion. The price is high, but the food is definitely worth it.
Went with my family food was wonderful!
It is very noisy however so I would not take someone who is hard of hearing. The service was very good also. Will diffently go again. It is a little pricey but this was a special birthday for a family member which is how I view this resturant a special occasion place!
I have been going here for years and have always enjoyed the food as well as the staff. Food is great and any issues I have ever had have been rectified immediately. Wine prices are a little high compared to similar restaurants in this category, but not totally out of control.
Steak isn’t that good. We actually prefer Long Horn to this steak. Not great value for high price.
Spinach salad was amazing.
Service was very good, but a little forced...almost like trying to compensate for the sub par steak.
We won’t return and won’t recommend it.
Our meal was delicious. From beginning to end our server was polite and timely. Everything was great - it was also made special for our anniversary with a photo and special menu dates saying “Happy Anniversay”. It was thoughtful and made the night that much better.
It was just one of those we-need-a-meal-at-Morton's days, and we can't resist that urge. The fare's old school & the quality's still excellent. Chopped salad for my wife, tomato & onion for me, then a pair of meaty chops with spinach & mushrooms on the side - call it plain or call it fancy, but it's still among the most satisfying meals around. The KoP wine list has matured recently, with many more great choices at all price points than we've seen there in a long time. With great staff & service, we want for nothing here. There may be other steakhouses as consistently good as Morton's, but we haven't found one. Of course, we stopped looking many years ago.
Perfection from start to finish - the food was exquisite and the service impeccable. The manager greeted us he was very friendly and professional. Our waitress was completely wonderful. She answered questions and offered suggestions- my drink was wonderful I'm glad I asked her advice. Our main course was amazing the steaks were done perfectly- the sides were luscious- I highly recommend the au gratin potatoes - they were divine. We were so full we couldn't get dessert- but that means we will just have to return soon . I'm a select member- which offers rewards from Landrys. It's great to get rewarded for dining at such an excellent establishment.
We had an amazing experience celebrating our anniversary. Dave was amazing and we will be asking for him to be our waiter every time we return! Dave was very attentive, had answers to every question we had, knew the menu perfectly, and every dish we ordered came out in perfect sequence without feeling like we had to rush. We spent 2 hours at the restaurant because we wanted to and Dave and the rest of the restaurant staff accommodate that amazingly. We will definitely be back for many more occasions and anniversaries in the future.
We really enjoyed our meal and Andrew, our server, truly made our experience that much more special. He provided the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us the space to talk. The food was delicious. The burrata, pine nut and mango salad was great! And the soufflé was the perfect dessert to share for the group. They made us feel extra special when they took a picture of our group and gave us a framed copy that they had all signed -a nice touch to remember the fun night and mark the special occasion.
This was, by far, the worst experience I have ever had with any steakhouse, ever. I have been to all the major (and minor) steakhouses in and around Philadelphia; you name it, I've been there. For the appetizer, I ordered the lobster bisque, then lobster was terribly chewy and over-cooked, and it had a terrible sand-like texture. By far the worst lobster bisque I have tasted to date. For dinner, I ordered the filet-medium, so did one of my dining companions. My other dining companion ordered the porterhouse- medium rare. The filets were both cooked well beyond medium. Mine was cooked with a dark red center and brown at the edges, which is a medium-well temperature cook. My dining companion's filet was cooked well-done; brown in the center, as well as on the edges. Never before in our lives have we sent a steak back, but we sent the well-done filet back to the kitchen. They cooked a new one, and brought it to the table. Upon cutting into the center, it was medium-rare. The porterhouse was cooked medium, not medium-rare. I ordered dessert - the raspberry soufflé, and the waiter cut into the top of the soufflé and stirred it around so it was a wet pile of disgusting baby-food mush. This is not how a soufflé should EVER be served. Not to mention the watery consistence was evident it was not cooked properly. As if all of this wasn't bad enough, during the entire meal, there were fruit flies flying around our table, landing in our drinks and on our food. We addressed this to the waiter, and he said management is aware of this and "there is nothing they can do," considering the fruit flies were coming out of the drains. After all this, management decided to remove the soufflé from our bill as a "courtesy" for the improperly cooked steaks. The soufflé was by FAR the cheapest item we ordered, and the steak (AT MINIMUM) should have been comp'd. Our bill was $444 (not incl. a 25% tip), we don't ever plan to return to another Morton's, and we suggest you shouldn't either.
