Everything is always wonderful here, from start to finish. It was my husbands birthday and they made the evening very special.
Service was painfully slow but kitchen and servers were working hard. They just booked more tables than they were staffed to handle.
Food is phenomenal. Servers are courteous but slow. A little too dark, but overall a nice experience.
Delicious meal- service was attentive and very pleasant.
Food was good. Service was very slow
Outstanding service and the food was excellent. Dan the manager is the man!! Awesome time. Best Steak House in KoP by far. You're just a number at Eddie Vs and the Capital but at Mortons you are family.
Excellent place to go in KOP!!! Alway enjoy dining there.
Five star excellence.
First time, will go back. Everything was done the right way.
We expected the food to be delicious and it was. What was over the top was the service. We received personalized service throughout the evening. Courtney, our server, was quietly attentive. For our celebration, we received a printed menu with "Happy Birthday . . . " at the top. We raved about the service to our friends.
Simply amazing. Dave was an awesome waiter. Food was so good!
Excellent service. Food was great. Overall excellent experience.
Only negative was a crying baby or toddler. Fine dining should not have to deal with this.
Food was great. Service excellent, great hospitality and environment
It is rare that I trash a restaurant (I own a business and try to be understanding) but this deserves being said. We booked a reservation for Mother's Day. We have eaten at this Mortons once or twice per year since it opened. It has always been a slow meal but overall solid food. This performance was the worst ever First, we were seated 20+ minutes after our reservation (which was 5:30, not prime dinner hour). After ordering it took about 30 minutes to get our salads. No apps. And it took over 1.5 hours to receive our main courses. My wife's fish and son's filet were delivered as ordered, my filet was woefully undercooked (ordered medium + and delivered medium rare) which noted immediately by the waiter. So while meal was then re-cooked, my wife and son had to eat without me.
This restaurant can easily serve over 500 meals on a busy evening. Yet they have two single level broilers of modest size. While this may be OK on a Wed evening when the restaurant is empty, if you come on a busy evening, expect a meal of at least 2.5-3 hours in time with very long delays between courses. This is a structural issue not a service issue and has existed since Day 1.
However, my unhappiness was not just about the slowness, it was about how it was handled. On normal evenings a manager comes over to see how you are doing. On this evening given the horrendous experience, one should have and did not. To wait 2 hours+ to eat and then have a $70 entree come out wrong is bad enough but it is offensive to not even get an apology. Plus we have a Landry's card which should have gotten me $25 off and a free desert, neither of which were provided. There were other families dining that evening who were clearly experiencing the same frustration. $100 a head for poor service is a disgrace. With 5 high end steakhouses in the mall I will take my business elsewhere.
Food and service was absolutely outstanding.
Visited on a Saturday night for a nice night out with my husband. We started with the seafood platter sampler, which was disappointing. The lobster on it was like rubber. Then came our meals - we both ordered steaks and lobster mac and cheese and brussel sprouts. I tend to go light on my seasonings when cooking, but the brussel sprouts (recommended by our waitress) had NO seasoning. It was completely bland. The lobster mac and cheese was even more disappointing. It tasted over-seasoned, so much that you couldn't really taste any lobster. And the sauce wasn't creamy at all - it had separated and was not very appealing. My steak was ok but my husband was disappointed with his. We frequent some of the other steakhouses in the area and this was our first visit to Morton's KOP. There are MUCH better options out there. We won't be returning to Morton's.
We decided to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary at Morton's. We've been before and have always had a great meal. The manager (?) along with waiter Dave went to great lengths to help my wife and I enjoy the evening. Please allow me to take this opportunity to thank the entire staff again for their willingness to go above and beyond.
We went with my in laws for my husband’s birthday. My husband ordered the Onion soup & an 8 oz filet medium rare. The soup was cold & the steak came out medium & tough to cut. My husband said something about the steak to the waitress who said she would get the manager. The manager came over but it didn’t seem like he was there because the waitress told him. My husband explained about the steak & the manager never apologized. He did offer to buy my husband dessert but he was already getting that for free for his birthday. He then offered to buy him a drink & when my husband declined told him he was making it hard to help him. My husband had to explain to the manager that he doesn’t drink & so didn’t want a cocktail. After that we didn’t see the waitress again for quite awhile. My husband couldn’t finish his steak & nothing was done to make it right. We left paying a huge bill but completely unsatisfied with the food & service. We will not be back!
This location is my favorite restaurant. The staff here just add to the amazing food. From Mary and the entire wait staff , manager and hostess, you are made to feel welcome. You cannot go wrong here!!
Always excellent. My go-to Steakhouse. Service and Food is top-notch. Ask for Matt as your waiter. He is the best!
Courtney was the best server ever! No detail was overlooked!
our server was excellent very attentive and good conversationalist. the food was excellent . we were celebrating my wifes birthday and could not have asked for more. we eat at many upscale restaurants but mortons is one of our favorites. thank you Matt and your staff
Our waiter's service (Patrick) and the GM (Dan) were impeccable. Made us feel at home. Another solid dining experience at Morton's in KOP.
We had a waiter named Peter, he was extremely personal and made sure my girlfriend and I had the best time at Morton’s possible. He was respectful, funny, and extremely helpful with everything.
Parking can be a pain, but they offer Valet in the back entrance (Across from Costco). We were met upon entry by 2 charming hostesses and we were promptly seated. Water as served and waitress provided menus, drink orders were made.
Bread was delivered, I stopped eating carbs a year ago, but I was told the onion bread was very good.
Drinks arrived, specials were announced, meals were ordered.
Appetizers were served, I had the shrimp cocktail which was on the small size for the price that was charged.
The main course came out and we were all very pleased. I had the bone-in cowboy steak which was very good.
No desserts for us.
The GM came over to our table and we spent 5 minutes talking about the Prime Rib that Morton's used to serve. They should bring it back as a special 1-3 times a year. 32oz on the bone!!!!
When we left, the GM presented me with a gift, a container full of their seasoning that they use on certain meats and on the Prime Rib when it was on the menu.
Overall, a great meal and a pleasant experience.
My companion was disappointed that they no longer do the menu presentation. Dinner was delicious. The server recommended against the soufflé so I ordered the bread pudding ... I was not disappointed! It was a lovely evening.
Morton's Never fails to deliver. Consistently the best steak house of all them all in my opinion.
$30 for a Rombauer Chardonnay per glass!!! The whole bottle is $36. Rip off
My wife ordered Oysters, some of which were so small she almost couldn’t pick them up. While the manager offered to bring he a couple of extras, it came when we were half way through our entree. I ordered my steak medium rare, it came medium well. In other restaurants of this level, either the oysters would have been taken off the bill, or a dessert would have been offered. Overall, we were underwhelmed by the experience.
Outstanding all the way around. Food, service and atmosphere. Over the top customer service. They even took a family photo and provided us with a few copies so we could remember our special event. Nice touch!
Great experience. New spring menu with bone in filet and cauliflower is great. Even catered well to the youngster at the table. She enjoyed the royal treatment.
Morton's does not disappoint as usual. I took a first time Morton's guest to my favorite location in KOP PA and he promptly and spontaneously stated at the end of the meal "that was the best filet I have every had".....I could only agree.
Food is good but compared to some of the steakhouses I think it’s overpriced.
Excellent as always.... so enjoy spending an evening dinner at Morton’s!!!!! Highly recommend...
Courtney was excellent and of course the meal was awesome
Outstanding food and service. Most important how waiter explained the food and the attention from the manager was a plus.
Always enjoy the quality food intimacy and service The attention by staff and management team is always excellent
I made a reservation for my boyfriend's birthday for Saturday at 5. We arrived, valet parked, and were seated promptly.
We started the night with having the baked sampler for each of us. We were not impressed. The sampler consisted of 4 pieces (one scallop, one shrimp, one crabcake, and one oyster) and was $29pp. Three of the four pieces were slightly burned on the bottom. The best item was definitely the oyster.
Then came our soups....onion soup and lobster bisque. The onion soup was good, but the bisque was horrible. It tasted like butter with no other flavor and had three pieces of lobster.
Then came the steaks and sides. I can say that the steaks were very good and were cooked perfectly. As for the sides, that is another story. The creamed spinach was flavorless and the truffle fries did not taste like any truffle oil was added to them.
The chocolate lava cake was excellent and the presentation was very nice.
Overall, this steakhouse is not worth the money. My boyfriend said we were better off going to Outback. Very disappointing! We will not be visiting another Morton's.
