Amazing dinner with incredible service. The Shrimp Alexander and the Molten Chocolate Cake were as good as we remembered.
Very Mediocre. I grew up going to Morton’s for every special occasion..The food was usually fantastic, the service was impeccable, and the ambiance was special. I was excited to try the one in Jacksonville for the first time. Unfortunately, tonight the food was mediocre, the service was very good, and the ambiance was awful. We had a view of the parking lot. I had the bone in rib-eye, and quite frankly I have had better cuts of meat from Publix, and I’ve cooked it better myself. My wife had the fillet and it was slightly larger than a golf ball...definitely nothing special about it. Our waitress, Cathy-Lee was great. Very personable and very attentive. I am assuming Covid had a lot to do with it, but the restaurant was very empty and depressing. They no longer have the rolling menu of raw meat at the beginning, or the wonderful soufflé. It was my wedding anniversary, and overall, the experience was a huge let down. I went to the Cowford Chop House 2 weeks ago and it made my meal at Morton’s seem like the Lone Star Steakhouse. We will not be returning. As much as I hate to say it, especially with all of the very fond memories I have of Morton’s over the last 30 yrs, my advice....don’t waste your time and money...go to Cowford instead. There, your money will be better spent and you won’t be disappointed.
We chose Morton's to enjoy our Easter dinner, and we were very pleased. Our server, Curtis, was very knowledgeable about the menu for both drinks and entrees, made suggestions if we were not sure of what we desired. The dinner was excellent, filet mignons cooked to perfection, and side dishes very good also. And I enjoyed a Brandy Alexander with ice cream----very, very good! Definitely requires another visit!
Was an amazing night thank you Mortons. The bacon wrapped scallops are to die for.
Service, prime rib and ribeye were excellent. Lobster tails a little undercooked. Cheesecake dessert was excellent and even better that is was complimentary for our anniversary. Overall great anniversary experience.
Walter was wonderful even dealing with rude people near us
Amazing! Great service and wonderful food. Great date night out with my husband! Taylor and Brett were wonderful!
Great food. Support your local restaurants
Great service! They made my birthday & anniversary so special. Will always come back
Glad to see it back in Jacksonville. One of our favorite places.
Dinner and service was excellent!!!
Service was great. The attention to detail, energy and engagement of the staff here is second to none. The food was delicious and came out in perfect timing. This was one of the top ten meals of my lifetime.
It started off great and ended horribly. Our drinks and appetizers were satisfying. The issue came when a very loud and vulgar table was sat next to us and it turned into a raunchy sports bar rather than an upscale restaurant. I complained to the manager. They were quiet for all of three minutes before it began again. We had just got our entrees and had them packed up and left. I threw away $200.00. The nail in the coffin is when I was leaving I spoke with the manager again and her response to me was next time I come if I want a quiet cable I should reserve one in the back. Really? Why couldn't you move them, they had not even gotten their food. So I will never visit here again. I will stick with Cowford and Matthews
Everything was perfect. Service was great and food was delicious. It was both my husband‘s birthday and our anniversary and it couldn’t have went any better. Loved the ribeye and the potatoes au gratin. We will be back!!
Maybe its because we grill a lot or run the Traeger a couple of times a month but the food was not exceptional. The prices are exceptional but not the food. There are better values in town. The vibe was not there probably because of CV19.
We really enjoyed dinner on the patio with the beautiful skyline and bridge lights in the background. Loved this Morton's! Our server, Nick, was particularly outstanding. It was a perfect night of dining out!
We want to let you know what a great job Taylor our server did for us. The food was great and we had plenty leftovers to have second dinner.
Dirty Martini is the drink of choice.
Our server Brian was incredible. Food was delicious as always. They went above and beyond to make our special occasion memorable.
Great food, service and ambiance
The birthday boy was happy
We had a great dinner for my husband’s birthday. The steak was delicious and we are very pleased with the new side dishes.
The steaks were on point. But the service made the dining experience perfect. The attention to details by the manager David.
Our sever Brian was excellent! He was on point with his recommendations for the Cajun Ribeye and The New New Stripe. He knows the menu and is so friendly.
Everything was actually very good. Just wish they'd get rid of the 70's bad movie music that seems to play scattered with a Sinatra tune every once in a while. I'll all for Sinatra but the background music to the old 70's music soundtracks on a not very good sound system makes me wonder why they haven't changed this.
The atmosphere was great! I highly recommend Morton's.
Wonderful service, chicken Christopher was phenomenal. My filet wasn't very tender surprisingly. Also creamed spinach isn't a winner. The rest was very good.
Amazing service, excellent food
The overall experience was great. The food was amazing. I would have given 5 stars for the food but our steaks were not cooked to the requested temperature and had to be sent back. We’ll be going back!!!
Walked in and we were immediately seated. Noticed two booths open and everyone else was seated in booths. We were seated in the inner table section. We were the only ones. Waited a bit to see if any other customers walked in and where they would be seated. Another couple came in and were seated at one of the open booths. So we asked our server if we could move to a booth. Another couple came in while we waited for our server to “ask her manager if it was ok for us to move” and they were sat at the last open booth. We were moved to a table in the back of the restaurant, pretty secluded. It was better than being in the center where everyone was staring but I’m still confused as to why we were placed in a table when there were open booths following how everyone else was sat. Anyway, our server was not the normal fine dining experienced server we are used to having. We weren’t advised there was a Valentine’s special. She wasn’t a bad server, but just seemed either not properly trained or like she rather be somewhere else. So our experience was a bit ruined both by the seating issue as well as the lack of high class service. It was more of a “hurry up and order and eat” feel. Food was great. Steaks cooked to perfection. Brussels sprouts were slightly over cooked. The dessert was heavenly.
We arrived at our reservation time and was seated promptly. Each staff member we came in contact with was courteous and our waiter was very knowledgeable on wines and the extensive menu. A wonderful Wonderful experience.
Great experience with the staff, very friendly and the service was excellent. Food was great and very tasty.
First timer, plus my 40th birthday. Steak had Absolutely no flavor at all. I was so disappointed because I was praying it would be everything I wanted it to be. And clearly it wasn’t at all. Lobster Mac and cheese was watery, just couldn’t believe it at all.
Quiet, we were the only couple there initially, except for a few at the bar, but we were there right when they opened. Even when we left a couple hours later, there were only a few other tables seated. So, we never felt crowded, or rushed. We were very well attended to, got personal attention from multiple servers and management, and our food was excellent. Top notch, and glad they are back in Jax.
Loved it . Great service and Extremely great food with a beautiful atmosphere. I will be coming back many times.
Everything was perfect! Service was outstanding!
The food was amazing as well as the service! They even gave me a free birthday desert. Would definitely go there again!
Excellent service and food, staff went out of there way to make everything excellent
Wonderful experience and amazing food
Food, we had steak, was excellent, as was the service. Good attention to safety. We go to Morton’s for quality and consistency when we have a special occasion and guests, and they deliver the premium experience we pay for.
Order the rib eye steak. The portion is more than filling and it was cooked to perfection.
Amazing taste and environment near the water in Downtown Jax.
As always, the food was excellent and always consistent.
