The dinner was a surprise for my husband’s birthday. His son and daughter were his surprise guests! First time eating altogether in years! They raved about everything! I especially love that they ALL received photos of the special event!❤️
You guys rock!
Very enjoyable evening. Treated very well and made to feel special.
Our waiter was lovely and the food was amazing!! The keylime was delicious according to my fiancé.
It was great!
We were unfortunately very disappointed. We lived in Chicago, and went to Morton’s a couple of times and was very pleased. This was our first time at the location in Indy. Having to go downstairs, the room felt very dark. I ordered a Sauv Blanc and got a totally different wine. Then we ordered the hash browns to share, and as soon as he put them down I could smell something bad. After tasting them, I believe the potatoes had gone bad! Horrible taste! The server didn’t seem very concerned, just asked what else would we like? We won’t be back.
The food, service, and atmosphere was outstanding here! They have one of the most extensive wine lists I've ever seen.
A very mediocre experience at Morton’s Saturday night.
I ordered my filet medium plus and had expressed that I wanted it pink inside. It was cooked medium well, brown inside and was dry. Also, it tasted too salty.
I ordered the chocolate lava cake and had expected to see the chocolate “lava” ooze from the center but there was little to none present.
To top it off, the service was slow and the price was high.
Morton’s is OFF my list of places to dine downtown.
Amazing food and service. We had the two pound whole lobster. The service was perfect and s great atmosphere.
Chris did a great job taking care of us. A perfect combination of friendly, professional and efficient. The food could not have been any better. 3 meals including chicken, sea bass and steak were thoroughly enjoyed. The food and service made our Father's Day celebration a huge success. Thank you Chris and Morton's.
Always a nice dinner for a special occasion. Great good from start to finish. We’ve always had delicious steaks, but mine was over cooked this time and I should’ve sent it back, but I didn’t. But usually the filet is delicious and tender. The chocolate molten cake with ice cream is the best! Service is always superb here:)
Very nice, some loud individuals next to our table
Food and service were wonderful. We love dining at Morton’s.
The best steakhouse in Indy. Forget St. Elmo’s, this is much better. Better food, better ambience, friendlier staff.
Great personal touch. It was a celebration of my son's graduation and the personalized menus with his name were very creative. The service and food was outstanding and very affordable on the special summer menu. Megan, our server remembered us from a previous visit and went all out to make it a memorable evening for all. The massive chocolate cake she presented to my son for sure made his night!
This was our fifth visit and we will be back.
Mortons has the best shrimp cocktail in town. The New York Strip was outstanding and the onion rings were tasty. Topping it off with a piece of carrot cake was one of the better ideas of the day. Chris, our server, did a very good job of taking care of our dinner needs. Can't wait to come back!
Mother’s Day dinner was great. The server was nice and knowledgeable. He often straightened out silverware and brushed the crumbs off of the table.
We went after my college graduation for dinner and had the best experience and service.
I had dinner with friends before the theater. I am vegan; my friends are not. There was very little on the menu that I could find to eat. I realize that Morton’s is a steakhouse but I would think there would be a few vegan options. I ended up having asparagus and a baked potato which was ok for me.
Amazing meal and exceptional service. Over the top!
Anniversary dinner. Food was excellent. Service was great. Personalized menu. Would highly recommend for a special occasion.
Best steaks in town, hands down. No other high end steak house could come close. If you go once, you will go again.
Wonderful birthday celebration , great environment , friendly host , and wonderful food with wine and dessert. Would highly go again!
Excellent food and excellent service...what do you want from a restaurant?
We visited the original Morton's in Chicago 27 years ago on our honeymoon. This year for our anniversary, we decided to go to Morton's again. I was worried that it might not be as special as our original visit, but I need not have worried. They took personalized service to a new level. Megan and Chris greeted us by name, provided a specially printed menu that said "Happy 27th Anniversary!" on it, even took a photo of us that they printed and mounted in a little cardboard frame. They rolled up the special menu and tied a ribbon around it and gave us that, too. When we sat down at the table, they pulled the table out from the wall so it was easy to get in and seated. It's seemingly little things like this that make a big impression.
The food was outstanding. I ordered the Wagyu Ribeye steak (pay for experiences, not things, right?) and it was the most delicious steak I have ever eaten. Tender, well-seasoned, just the right amount of sear. It was even better than my husband's filet, no easy feat! We shared a salad with grilled asparagus, heirloom tomatoes, burrata and a lemon vinaigrette, which was delicious and light. Shared sides of creamed spinach and potatoes au gratin both were served piping hot and hit the spot. As we did on our honeymoon visit, we ordered the chocolate soufflé, which was delicious and special all over again.
Well done, Morton's!
We like you much better than that other famous steakhouse in Indy that everyone seems to feel the need to visit (not least because you do service right, and don't feel the need to cram people in at tables so close together you can't walk between them).
It's not a place we can necessarily afford to visit regularly, but maybe more often than every 27 years!
Best. Steak. Ever.
The food here is always good, as well as the service. Service is always attentive without being overbearing, and we always get a booth when requested. Cajun ribeye and short rib tacos are favorites, and they have many really good sides and desserts as well. We always have a good experience at Morton’s.
It’s a basement without windows and old carpet.
Service is ok but our waiter didn’t know the beer selection. Only after ordered an “alright” bear did she update us with the good selection - that was disappointing.
Definitely recommended! Great options , flavors, service.
We went for our anniversary. Our meal was fantastic- I had the lamb, and husband had the bone-in ribeye. We started with the escargot, and ended with the sundae. The entrees were amazing, especially the ribeye, one of the best steaks either of us have ever eaten. Every course was paced well, and our server was attentive. It was our first trip there, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere as well- entering through a solid wood door and heading downstairs into the dining area with soft lighting, exposed brick and wine bottles lining the walls, makes it feel like you're stepping into an exclusive old-world steakhouse.
Having friends in from out of town, we found ourselves downtown. We decided we wanted a great steak, so we booked Mortons on OpenTable and arrived on time. We were seated immediately, and were greeted promptly by our server Rob. He was professional and made some incredible recommendations throughout the evening. Best ribeye ever ! ( Cajun ) We also would love to thank Cindy who made our experience so incredible ! We loved her ! Having the Manager check on us through our dinner, made us feel extra special !!! Cant wait to go back.
I had a PorterHouse. Could not cut the steak it had so much grissle in it. Order wine. Second bottle took 25 minutes to get the table. Only 4 tables in the place with folks at them. An Indiana basketball ball team was in private dining room down for state tournament. That was it.
After our wine was tasted no one returned to pour wine. Two side dishes were simple forgotten.
Gal at the greeting station was fabulous. The rest of the team was utterly clueless. For a Morton’s this was an American Tragedy.
I have never experienced a worse dining moment in my entire business or personal life. I would fire everyone there and sell the property.
None of us there that evening will ever return.
Best ribeye steak I've ever had!
Steak was great. Scallops were over cooked and rubbery. Veggies with meal were poor. Bread was forgettable. Service was great. Overall, at their prices my anticipation is to be wowed by the food and I was not.
We had a great experience. The food was great, service also great. It was a little pricy but overall good!
It was ok, not my favorite. Both of our steaks were brought medium rare although ordered med and med+. I guess restaurants are afraid they will over cook them thus they serve rarer than ordered. I will not send one back for more cooking unless I want to eat alone. For the price they should come out exactly as ordered or get a chef that knows how to do just that.
The atmosphere was great and our wait staff person was phenomenal. We all enjoyed the food and the entire experience.
We really enjoyed our experience. We can't wait to return.
Perfect food perfect service and an awesome wine list. This restaurant never disappoints.
