Morton's The Steakhouse - Houston - Galleria
Book your next event with us
Took 15 minutes post reservation to seat us. Waitress another 15 minutes to greet table.
As I get check for dinner, waitress decides to mention all the 3 course dinner specials we could have ordered and saved over $125.
Capped off the evening.
As someone who prefers seafood, it wouldn't be my first choice for myself but the salmon I had was well prepared. However, my guests were beef lovers and they seemed pleased with their steaks.
I met girlfriends for lunch we enjoyed our visit our waiter was really nice and attentive. Thanks for the service
Everything was great! Can’t wait to go back. My cousin was celebrating her birthday and she really enjoyed herself.
Upon arrival, everyone was very accommodating. Waiter asked who was celebrating their anniversary? Our wait staff was very attentive. Food was delicious. Complimentary souffle which was outstanding touch along with 2 complimentary pictures! Nothing could have been better!
Friend and I had the Landry special, steak and lobster...
Just ok...didn’t think it was Morton quality 😢...and still ended w/a $300+ bill 🤪
Anniversary celebration for two couples.
Cumpleaños después del partido de Fútbol entre Texans y Bills.
Ambiente elegante pero muy agradable y relajado. Las sugerencias de comida y vino extraordinaria.
La atención de primer nivel!!!
Eric & his amazing staff at Morton’s make this our “go to” restaurant for simply date night to special occasions. It’s our dinner table away from home.
The ambience was perfect. The steak and lobster was fantastic! One of the beat meals I’ve had in a while. Our server Peidan was outstanding. She suggested windup wine, side dishes, and deserts. Truly a wonderful experience overall.
We had a reservation and still had to wait 25 minutes. The food was rushed. I was not able to finish my soup before the entree’s were served.
New Years with Morton’s
Thank you to all the staff that made our experience fabulous!
Service and food impeccable as usual
In Houston for the Texas Bowl.
Everything was great
Very enjoyable dinner.
The restaurant did a phenomenal job making the experience special. They personalized the menus for us and took a group photo and passed out to us.
The service was phenomenal as always. The salads and main dishes were amazing as well. The lobster mac and cheese and the sour cream potatoes were a little disappointing though.
An excellent steak house with tasty steaks and well prepared sides. Good service. Recommended.
Service was exquisite. The waiter was knowledgeable and very helpful. Ambiance is okay - typical Morton’s, typical steakhouse. Every Morton’s has the same hideous overhead lighting. Food: tomatoes were very good, especially given the season! Several people had the lobster bisque and commented favorably. It smelled like too much sherry to me, but I didn’t order it so take that comment for what it is. The steaks looked good, and everyone ate them up. Two others had fish and said it was fresh and well prepared. I had the crab legs. They were slightly disappointing. Legs were thin on meat and heavy in shell. Desserts were well done. Creme Brûlée, bread pudding and chocolate cake. The cake portion was huge. I need to mention the excellence of the service one more time.
Great food, great service, great time
I recommendation this place with some reservations. The food was excellent, however I would not order the Wagyu Beef again. It is just not worth the price. The biggest drawback was the service. Our waiter was split between our table and a large party in a private room. He took too long between visits was not able to get us out after 1:45 minutes which we needed to do to make a theater performance. Another waiter came by once to offer more bread but it did not help accelerate the process. The restaurant was only about 25-30% occupied on a Monday evening. Also we did not order pre-dinner cocktails or dessert at the end. Clearly they were understaffed. This is the second time this has occurred at this location and the third time in a Landry's restaurant recently.
My husband and I enjoyed the lights on Post Oak on our way to Morton’s. We also enjoyed the 3 course meal. Lots of choices and delicious. We ended up taking our dessert home. The atmosphere was nice with music in the background and the food was great as it always is.
The food is amazing !!! Great service .... and the Cajun ribeye best steak ever ...awesome!!!
The Manager who’s name was Brad I believe was terrific. He went to extra lengths to converse with us and make us feel welcomed and special. All of our interactions with staff were excellent.
Our waiter did an amazing job accommodating the party I had for my wife. She loved that he was knowledgeable in the menu items as well.
First time to celebrate Thanksgiving and it was worth it. The food, service and ambience; the whole experience was awesome; looking forward for next year.
The food was average as was the service. The food should be much better for the price. I really don’t understand how Morton’s stays open given the options in the galleria area. I will never go back nor will I recommend Morton’s to anyone.
The management staff was outstanding. They were very accommodating and made my birthday very special. The food was delicious and I looked forward to returning soon.
Great service ! Food was amazing as always !!!!
Great food and great waiter. Only problem was there was no receptionist before and after the meal
It’s was good place highly recommended!
Servers and staff were very polite. Got lots of refills without needing to ask. The food tasted very excellent. All the food came out at a great time. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I would consider going back.
I have been to other Morton's Steakhouses (in particular, the Beverly Hills location) in the past and so my husband and I are familiar with the menu, service, and ambiance of Morton's. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our experience at this location. We went to Morton's to celebrate both of our November birthdays. At 8pm, the atmosphere was still "lively".
Our server was with a trainee (I think) and so ordering took a bit longer than usual. When the Wedge appetizer finally came, it was COMPLETELY drenched with the dressing. I mean, we had to EXCAVATE the lettuce out! Unfortunately, the server was too busy talking with other guests for us to notify her ...so we just tried to eat what we could. We gave up on the effort. We ended up not being able to eat about 30% of the wedge (because it was slathered in dressing)..... and there was a good 1/2 inch of dressing still completely covering the bottom of the plate! We mentioned it to the trainee (??) but she just smiled and took it away.
The entrees were cooked well. However, it took another 15 minutes (at least) to order dessert. My dessert (a pre-made chocolate mousse) took ANOTHER 15 minutes to receive from the kitchen. By the way, we were now one of the ONLY customers left at Morton's; it was now after 915pm on a Wednesday! So although the restaurant was virtually empty, we were basically ignored.
Overall, we were quite disappointed in this experience, especially because it was supposed to celebrate both of our birthdays (which the restaurant was notified of). In the past, Landry's restaurants always try to make any poor experiences "right". This time, my husband and I were both contacted (by chance for different reasons) about our meal. We independently happen to give the exact same review. We were told someone (a manager) would most likely call "to make things right" in some way. THERE WAS NO FOLLOW UP OR APOLOGY...NOTHING. This was a most unfortunate experience.
Great place and great staff
This was my husband's birthday and I picked Morton's because we always have excellent food and service. They did not disappoint! Everything was great and they treated us special. The menu for the birthday, the great service, and the dessert just made the evening special. Eric had wine ready for us, and I couldn't have asked for a more special evening. Thanks!
