Had a pretty decent experience. The place was aesthetically pleasing and the food was pretty good. The deserts were amazing. Cocktails were strong and reasonably price. We had a pretty good waiter but he charged us for a piece of cake that he said was on the house because of my wife's birthday. One of the members of my party said one of the hostesses was really rude to him but she was okay with us.
My husband and I have been coming to Morton’s since we started dating in 2000. Always love it! The atmosphere is great, the staff is always very friendly. The food is delicious. Best Stakes I’ve had!
The service and the food were excellent. I am always glad to see restaurants living up to expectations; Morton’s certainly did.
The food was amazing! One of the best steaks I’ve ever had!
The quality and quantity of the food is excellent. It is quiet during lunch so it is great for business lunches. Highly recommend.
Food was great as well as the service
Underwhelmed with the food. The atmosphere was dull, boring. My lobster was tough. Not a good value for what we paid. Extremely disappointed as we go somewhere every year and this was not good experience.
I had requested a booth and was told when we arrived that there was no booths available and then we were sat next to a table with children. It was Valentines Day so my husband and I were surprised by that. Our waiter had a hard time hearing us as we ordered and confused our drinks. Our waiter also took our brussel sprouts and didn’t offer to box them up.
$300+ for a dinner. My first steak was over cooked. They charged us for a Chicken Christopher and fries ($43) for what we thought was a split kids chicken meal. I had to ask if there were any specials instead of the server volunteering that info. Our table was taken by someone else when we got there. The bisque was luke warm and bland. The crab cake was barely warmed as well. Service-wise, it felt like we were the undesirable table that was being rushed.
Essentially it’s a combination of small grievances that made this experience so disappointing. Include the price point and i definitely wasted $300 for mediocre food and service. I typically compare my experiences across different steakhouses and “fine dining” places. Capital Grille and Eddie V’s still reign supreme, and I’m starting to believe that if it’s Landry’s owned, I should expect less than stellar results.
It was a great experience. Our waiter was very attentive and offered us great selections, which we enjoyed. We enjoyed the night tremendously. Eric Kresse joined us at the table to ask about our experience and to tell us about the reward card. We had a good laugh about how I can't seem to keep up with this card and have been to the restaurant on numerous events. I promised him that I would make sure to registered the new card and I have this time. We make a point to visit Morton's every time we visit Houston for one of his autograph signing sessions. Can't wait until the next time.
Great service and amazing food!
Our waiter was the star of the night for us. Very attentive and knowledgeable. I had to have the salmon for medical diet restrictions but wasn’t too crazy about it. However, as always the steaks are some of the best we’ve had.
Always good food and great service.... nice quiet dining room
outstanding, as usual!
food was great.
only minor hitch was waiter seemed rushed and rattled off menu options too fast & had to be asked to repeat [Bryan].
Steak and lobster dinner was outstanding.
It was my first time visiting and it will not be my last. My waiter Miguel was absolutely amazing. It was my bf’s birthday and it was definitely one to remember. I loved it.
As usual food and service were fine but server forgot to mention my receiving Loyalty credit..so i called to get my $80 worth of credit. I was told i was eligible for $30 worth of credit since i used a gift card. REALLY? well that was my xmas gift and i chose to use it at Mortons where i get loyalty points. I think Landry’s needs to reconsider that point. Someone paid $50 for that card. Whole thing is INSULTING. And i am a Landry Loyalist..bye bye Landry’s.
Service was outstanding!
We took advantage of their $40 three course deal and it was exceptional. The salad was a smaller portion, but more than sufficient. The steak was also smaller, but well in line with appropriate portion size. The side was a full sized, sharable size. The dessert was also more than ample. Add in the superb onion loaf and we left full to the gills.
Great food, service, and overall experience.
He didn't get his food until we (4 of us total) were half way done plus the steak was over cook for a filet mignon. They brought the wrong order first for him (he hasn't eat all day because he just finished the 26.2 miles Houston Marathon) We were taking him out to celebrate his accomplishment. The side use to be really good but it was overly cook for the spinach dish. It use to be one of our favorite place to go for a celebration. However, the bread is always super good :-)
Food was great
I enjoyed the Mixed Grill of Salmon and Shrimp. The Lobster Bisque was also delicious. The ambiance was very nice. Medium sized dining area on 2nd floor. Staff was friendly.
Our meal was excellent but even better was our server Estella. She was polite, knowledgeable and helpful, including chasing me down I. The parking lot when I forgot my purse. The manager was also very friendly.
Wonderful service and a place where you can actually have a conversation without yelling. Food cooked perfectly.
New Years eve
We were here for dinner to celebrate New Years Eve. It was louder than usual for that reason only. It was a lot of fun and the food was great! There were a lot of little kids there which is great if they are well behaved. We were sat in the kiddie section I think. Lol! Kids were standing in chairs trying to get balloons, laying on the floor playing with their balloons and hitting the people next to them with the balloons all the while their parents choose to ignore them. This was 2 different tables that I’m talking about. I’m so glad someone complained and the manager took care of it immediately. People don’t go to fine dining establishments to be annoyed by small children’s behavior because their parents are selfish and choose to ignore it. I do have kids and completely understand, however I always made sure my kids didn’t bother anyone next to us. It’s called courtesy and respect. Kudos to the manager. I appreciate you.
Great meal with friends! A tad bit on the expensive side but very good food.
Overall great Christmas dinner with excellent service.
Morton's is great for a special occasion or business dinner. Awesome service and delicious food!
Best filet mignon I've ever had - EVER ! The food and the service were outstanding!! So glda we chose Morton's for our special Christmas dining out after theater!
Excellent seabass and the fall truffle cauliflower! And don’t forget to finish the meal with amazing bread pudding!
I always take my associates to Morton’s because the service, food and and ambiance are perfect to discuss business.
The food was delicious-The service was amazing- The ambience was lovely.
The service was really bad because the waiter kept forgetting what we ordered, and when asked about it, he had a terrible answer, like: you want it or not?
Fortunately the manager got aware of the situation and solve it in a very positive and professional way.
The feedback would be: keep training the staff in customer satisfaction
Everything was great food service and prices, lunch special was great for the price.
Arrived at 6:15pm, Party of 10, The table wasn't ready. I made reservations two days in advance. We got seated, the waiter was really pushy. The service was really bad. They had a Christmas party going on, but that should be an excuse to have poor service. We would run out of our drinks, and ones we got the waiters attention, It would take 15 to 20 min to get a refill, That's if he didn't forget. and that happened multiple times. We finally got our main course, and the Steaks were cooked wrong, and the waiter forgot our sides. I was hoping for a great evening with my family and friends, while we were celebrating my wife's birthday. Instead we had a miserable experience at Morton's.
16th Birthday celebration with family
The food was fantastic and Gage, our waiter, was extremely knowledgeable.
